It says broken in the title, does that mean this does not work anymore?

Okay, i tried adding different armor and it still show up as base kevlar.
Still, it is a usefull mod because it allows to edit their loadout, so I hope it wont be deleted.

Since this mod opens up their inventory, i added dlc day 0 armor into it. Havent had a mission with volunteer army yet, i ll write here if there ll be any effect.

What if one created a new armor type that only had the customization options of the Resistance (aka a boot-leg version of the pre order DLC armor) and gave it to them via loadout? Would that work? Or would it be overridden and be given Kevlar armor anyways?

It worked in all the testing modes, but I discovered the main campaign has some code buried in it that literally forces them back to Kevlar. It's also not trivally overridden, so this mod has been unlisted for some time. I'd have taken it down, but that would forcibly unsub everyone and break every ongoing campaign with it in.

This mod doesnt change their look for me and I do use it along with Covert infiltration. Do I need to do some manual edits for it to work as intended?

You could use Weapon Skin Replacer if you just want to change the appearances.

Other thing, id like to give them TLP assault rifle and cannon, but those weapons have attachments and different status.

It might be a silly question, does the mod do something by himself or i need to edit/choose their loadout?

I've had those two issues crop up too. Both mods work perfectly in skirmish, but sometimes they mess up and don't visualise properly in a campaign. I'm still trying to find out why.

No, could be part names for vanilla armors ? Resistance warrior clothes ever had names?

I have those cosmetics mods: classic xcom armor, free the hood, chosen armor, capnbubs accessories, fth capnbubs addon, hero gear, commander avatar restoration, empty deco slot for xcom soldiers and invisible parts for hero.

Also, your other mod extract knowledge buff after the chosen collect the info, my soldier get back up. He still unconscious and can't do any actions but he is standing, I can pick him up with other soldier and drop him and he will stay down/laying as normal.

Are you using Covert Infiltration?
Zoinho1 14 Jan, 2022 @ 10:51am
It change nothing for me and i don't have any mod that touch the Volunteer Army units.
Lago  [author] 31 Oct, 2021 @ 7:22pm
Updated the mod. It turns out Firaxis actually intended these units to use Civilian Militia outfits all along: the lines are in XComContent.ini. I fixed Firaxis's existing setup, so now this mod no longer requires the Resistance Warrior DLC.
Lago  [author] 13 Sep, 2021 @ 4:44am
They use the Rookie loadout in vanilla, which I copied. There may be some Firaxis code removing them.

I noticed there's an entry for frag grenades in the loadout, but they never seem to appear in their inventory on a mission. They get the vektor rifle, though. I do have Superior Explosives which adds a "Plasma Warhead" that the standard plasma grenade upgrades to when you complete the proving ground project the mod adds, so maybe that's interfering in some way?
Lago  [author] 6 Sep, 2021 @ 11:55am
@Valvatorez Yep. It gives them their own loadouts, and I set Resistance Kevlar and Vektor Rifles as the defaults.

@Lago
I assume this makes them no longer tied to the Rookie(plus the M2 and M3 versions) in DefaultGameData?
Stukov81-T.TV 6 Sep, 2021 @ 7:19am
Is it possible to have a random loadout like with Randomized Gatecrasher Loadouts?
Deadput 6 Sep, 2021 @ 12:22am
Sweet! This makes it so that their armor doesn't look randomly wonky if using bigger cosmetic lists.

The Vektor rifle is a much more appropriate weapon for them to have too theme wise.
