This mod is awesome, however I'm working to combine all of the reactor mods I'm currently subscribed to into a pack. I'm working to make these different mods work somewhat together and to be balanced with each other. I would like to upload this pack so my friends can join me on my world and for other people if they would like to try it. Of course, each of the original mod and maker will receive full credit for the content with links to the original. I'm asking for your permission to to upload this mod.

I humbly request the addition of an oxygen-hydrogen fuel cell. Real world numbers: consuming 1L of oxygen and 1L of hydrogen per second yields 8.52 MW/s output (assuming 100% efficiency, current best is around 90%).

Can you add a bit of additional info to the mod description? Specifically, mass of each asset, charge efficiency/rate for the batteries, and the fuel consumption rate for the hydrogen engines. Also, thank you for making this awesome mod.

playing since. works pretty fine to me just some weak small grid solars but thats more a me-problem. i just hate how weak solar got made in this game.

a Great looking pack but i would suggest that instead of tweaking the hydrogen engine you should create a fuel cell generator that uses both H2 and O2.

No I've never set it up to be within progression - is this something you really want? I'll look into making it happen if so.

they work in survival, bu i never tested them with the progresison active (find how keen it implemented very crappy so i dont use it).
its more a question if it is progressiontree ready or not.

could i reupload a modified version for my sever with credit to original (both this one and the one that ur mod was based off of). i wanted to see about using both this and Niteowls batteries together but to balance them to complement each other?

@Apathygate or @Stonelords would it be possible to create a wind turbine variant that have a conveyor port on both end so they could be use as both tactical (turrets) or utilities ( anti-lightning decoy with welder, oxygen farm connector…)

you would need to put the modid into the modlist of the server.
depending on the exact serverhud id can change wher eand how exactly, most times its either one mod id per line or every mod id partet with a ; if you use multiple mods.

you could also open the .cfg of the world and add the modid manually into it.

I've only let 1 other person re-upload this mod with changes specific for their server. If anyone else is using it without asking, I'll be requesting Steam remove it.

Uhh. I mentioned before that the power input loss was kinda terrible buttt.... now its like you just duplicate power as you input it into the battery with a 3x multipler on the large grid advanced battery seems kinda busted allowing you to just duplicate power by having one of these batteries on your station.

All power goes through these batteries before going into systems when on AUTO mode so the batteries just duplicate power and that seems a little unbalanced just a tad bit.

@Babbysatann - yes it can be introduced to an established server provided no other mods clash with it. However the naming of the items is pretty unique so I doubt you'd have any issues.

A better way to balance the high capacity would just be straight slow charging rather than just a shit ton of power just flowing into the Ether.

@Condottiere The power loss is ridiculous losing over half the power you input into a battery for whats basically just two batteries in one block because you -

Have double the mass
Slightly higher than double the stats

So just build two vanilla batteries get the same stats as one of the large advanced batteries and not only store 80% of what you put in instead of 30%. If had a 40% power loss it would be fair as in just slightly more loss than two separate batteries but not 70% loss.

The other reason why I think it is quite is because the other battery types he adds do not have any insane power loss so you can just do the same thing with 18 small Advanced Batteries and not have the same insane power loss the large advanced battery has.

The super size LG battery, OTOH, is 18 blocks large, weighs only as much as 12 batteries, stores 23 batteries' worth, and discharges 18 batteries' equivalent power, and has 20% storage efficiency loss.

I think ApathyGates did a great job balancing the design and survival decisions with these options. There are plenty of other straight OP capacity increase mods if someone just wants a bunch of free bonus power and storage for no cost.

I would have been happy to just save on PCU with a straight proportional increase. These save PCU AND give me sensible variety of choices!

@Jailbroken and @Melfely: It's a trade-off decision, not useless. You missed some of the other variables, and need to consider that it is the SAME 1x1x1 size as the vanilla battery for 2x mass, but benefits are it can discharge 22 MW and store 7 MWh. That's nearly twice the vanilla battery block's discharge rate (12 MW) and 2.3x the vanilla power storage (3 MWh). The 60% loss is the price you pay beforehand to be able to have that much power on hand later at a peak demand time, in that small of a package.

According to build info, the large block small battery reports 60% power loss when charging, while the equivalent vanilla battery is 20%. Is this a bug? If that's by design, it's excessive and makes that particular battery rather useless.

I may be mistaken, but it looks like the advanced hydrogen engine doesn't register itself as a HydrogenEngine for IMyPowerProducer. Is it registering as a different type? Could this be fixed?

It makes Vanilla Batteries better because they can be charged to full in under 20 Minutes and without such a massive loss of power (20% Vanilla - 70% your mod)

After Looking at the Batteries using Build Info I noticed the larger batteries even on small grid have a power Loss of 70% making them take way longer to charge than necessary. I mean a over 1 hour charge with a input of 6.5 MW to store only 2.5 MW is pretty High...

a question form my side: is it intended that the offset solar panels can also only placed with a side connecting to a block instead of the flat area that is in the offset position in a position where it can atelast visually conencto to an underlaying block or is that just an oversight?
i ask cause i wantet to put them on the roof of my base as an emergency power supply and just foudn out i cant place them as long as i dont place another block to place the side against isntead of beeing able to connect with the side where the panel if offsettet to.

I love the mod's look and feel, but I'm having the same issue with charging. The batteries on my rover display an input of 0, even when flagged as recharge. This occurs whether I'm connected to my base via connector, or when the sun is shining on the solar panels installed on the rover itself.

The battery's seem to not collect charge in a correct manner, if i discharge normal battery's into a connector the battery's on the ship ignore them and remain at 0% innless i order them to recharge only

@Xandrak that nice but vanilla suck there's no challenge at all the pve suck and even pvp is questionable even with the new combat keen adding and you say but add Shield doesn't make it challenging um ya if i was using vanilla weaponry the weaponry i use can cut a ship clean in two with out Shield

Take a look at what ODJWizard made with the panels - fully automated solar tracker. No scripts, no extra bits.

I also like the smaller one as well. Makes use of the ship refueler script by Isy that requires a solar panel on a grid for a reference. The solar panel by default for a reference is huge. A nice smaller one for use as a light sensor would be awesome. Lots of uses as a trigger for day night cycles.
