Anyone know of a mod that is the apposite of this? I want to be able to let my slaves lay in bed with their free flames.
The Blind One 23 May, 2023 @ 2:14pm
Yup this mod's settings don't seem to work, Ein's version works.
KemonoAmigo 1 Apr, 2023 @ 4:02pm
This version's mod options is broken for me. Ein's version works fine though.

@Gaël Same problem occurred
Honshitsu 12 Dec, 2022 @ 4:28am
Curious... I was investigating @Gaël's report and when I try to open the settings menu i get

" Exception filling window for RimWorld.Dialog_ModSettings: System.MissingMethodException: void Verse.Listing_Standard.CheckboxLabeled(string,bool&,string) "

But when I git cloned the project, resolved references, and built Release locally: it worked fine. I'd recommend rebuilding the project and putting it in "1.4/Assemblies". If you have assemblies for older versions, you can put them in their corresponding version folders for backwards compatibility.

Thanks for the update to 1.4 ! Not sure if it's because of the upgrade(I didn't use the mod in 1.3), but the mod settings are empty.

1.4 please

Thanks for letting me know Bear, I use Psychology too so I guess this mod wouldn't help me either.
Bear 26 Nov, 2021 @ 4:59am
Okay, sorry for spamming your chat, but I think I found a possible culprit. Psychology mod might be bypassing normal romance.
Bear 26 Nov, 2021 @ 4:17am
Neither one stopped romance attempts slave->colonist given my mod set. There could be a conflict, but it's a little silly that I have two different places checked "no slave romance" and it still happens.
Bear 25 Nov, 2021 @ 9:07am
I wish it worked, maybe I don't understand something here, but after installation both the slave romanced the colonist and the colonist romanced the slave. I reloaded after each time. There's an individuality setting to prevent it too, and I had that set. I'll try the postfix version.
CactusPie  [author] 20 Nov, 2021 @ 11:01am
It already does that. If it doesn't work for you then you either disabled it in the settings or you have another mod conflicting with this one. Try to put this mod further down in your mod list to make sure that it takes priority.
Lava 19 Nov, 2021 @ 9:54am
Could you also add an option to prevent colonists from romancing slaves? My pawns have the 'anonymity' meme (no social interactions between them) and as soon as I bought one slave my colonists have been thirsting after the female 69 year old. They must be really desperate. :trolol:
CactusPie  [author] 13 Oct, 2021 @ 11:15pm
Thanks for confirming. I'll release the new version sometime this week
Dorsai! 12 Oct, 2021 @ 10:31pm
From what I can tell the postfix version works perfectly, with and without Individuality. I've played with it yesterday for several hours without a single slave-colonist romance attempt.
But it needs to be loaded after Individuality for it to work. Therefore I'd suggest adding it to the "loadAfter" section in About.xml.

wish i had this earlier today
a slave tried to woo one of my colonists and was executed for this crime
his head now sits on a silver spike in my dining room
Dorsai! 11 Oct, 2021 @ 2:00pm
Thank you! I've installed it and I'm going to test it.
On a side-note, in the mean-time I've found a way to get a dotnet development environment set up and I've been running my own change to a postfix since yesterday. So far, I haven't seen problems but I can't tell for sure yet. I'll continue to test with your version.
CactusPie  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 10:37am
I compiled a Postfix version. I haven't tested it yet, but feel free to try it, it should work fine. I will release it after I test it myself.

It seems it does override the result.
https://github.com/Syrchalis/Individuality/blob/master/Source/SyrTraits/InteractionWorker_RomanceAttemptPatch.cs
Is there any way to do this in a more compatible way, like also using a postfix patch and forcing the mod to be loaded after Individuality? I imagine many other romance mods like rational romance might be doing something similar.
I'd try this myself, but I don't have access to a Windows machine for dotnet development.
CactusPie  [author] 9 Oct, 2021 @ 6:54am
It could. My mod uses a Prefix patch so it is possible that Individuality could override the method result using a Postfix patch. It works fine for me, so I don't really see any other explanation.
Dorsai! 8 Oct, 2021 @ 8:17pm
It does not seem to work for me at all. Slaves will still initiate relationships with colonists and vice versa. Both options are checked. I'm using Syrchalis Individuality which touches some of the same methods but as a postfix patch... would that override the results your patch?
Mekkie 4 Oct, 2021 @ 1:51pm
you're the best :D
CactusPie  [author] 4 Oct, 2021 @ 7:01am
Ok, it's added. Enjoy!
Mekkie 3 Oct, 2021 @ 10:25am
Thanks a bunch :D <3 No rush!
CactusPie  [author] 3 Oct, 2021 @ 4:52am
Yeah, that's possible, I might add it in the following days when I have the time
Mekkie 30 Sep, 2021 @ 6:08pm
or rather have a setting for it, i mean.. not change the mod entirely <3
Mekkie 30 Sep, 2021 @ 6:08pm
Is there a way you could make this just prevent slave + colonist? I dont care if they sleep with each other, but constantly having colonists stuck in relationships with slaves is frustrating D:
CactusPie  [author] 17 Sep, 2021 @ 1:48am
Yes, it disables all relationships with slaves, that is:
- slave + slave
- slave + colonist
MESSIAH 17 Sep, 2021 @ 1:40am
does this prevent colonists from falling in love with slaves as well?
