@pepefrog69 venom aint working on this anymore, but it's open source so if you or someone you know can edit the files to that specific configuration, go for it (source code link is the github link at the bottom of the description)

@Mickey thanks man! I might be back for A4, but as of right now I don't have time to game anymore for the forseeable future. I've got some big developments happening in real life, both with my career and my hobbies that leave me with next to no leisure time. Good luck out there dude.

@Pope Clement XIV your wish is my command sir, you can find the github link in the description. RPP is now fully open source, I don't really care what you do with it. I tried to document all the parameters as best I could. Best of luck if you try and take this mod on!

@Mickey hey sorry for the late response man, unfortunately I think the development of the mod has run its course. I've spent a ton of time developing this, and frankly I'm just kinda over it, and gaming as a whole. Consider this my retirement lol, thanks for all the feedback/support over the years bro.


If anybody wants to pick this mod up or just mess around with it, I can provide all the source files and documentation you need. Just let me know.

@venomDeejays After a week of testing, it's good to say that the new version of your mod looks better, but unfortunately not in everything. You have increased the duration of the regdoll when a dead body is able to react, but now a dead body is less responsive to bullets hits. In the previous version @Ragdoll Physics Plus+ v1.12, the limbs and body itself twitched more noticeable, demonstrating the force of the bullets hitting them. Now it's barely noticeable. I think, If you return the degree of body react, from incoming bullets, as in v1.12, it will be better.

@venomDeejays Hi! I hope you remember how we wanted to create endless ragdolls and failed. Please tryto use the recent ragdoll improvements from BIS for this purpose. It may be possible to create a limited radius from the player, so that dead bodies only activate within that radius? Maybe within limited radius it's possible to make dead bodies react only to vehicles collision or only to explosions?

@Reefer same here dude, luckily better ragdolls are indeed possible. I found the file containing the physics values, its just the mod tools are an absolute nightmare for a non-dev like myself. I'll post in here as soon as I get it to work, which hopefully will be soon.

So I've tried Reforger, the game is decent overall but but my god the ragdoll physics are just abysmal. Like so bad that I've actually been inspired to release my latest build here for public use. Hopefully steam doesn't botch the update.


I'll be porting this mod over to Reforger when there's more documentation for the enfusion tools available, I need some kind of simple tutorial on how to export a project into the game because I could not figure that part out. So its on hold for now.

@David I'll try and mess with that, just keep in mind that this mod will absolutely never be perfect. Compromises are going to have to be made, the PhysX ragdoll system is just too much of a pain to work with, trust me. One small change can completely break the mod, which is why development has been so slow.

The upper torso rotation is too severe in my opinion. This causes backpacks, webbing or plate carriers to get streched in a weird way. In one of your previous versions this was more subtle. I think if you revert it to before, or make a different version of it, it could improve the ragdoll a lot. Thanks

Hi venom, sometimes it seems to affect the "allow damage" option in the Eden Editor when i uncheck that: ergo, the "immortal" unit still die. Could someone check that? Or perhaps it could be a conflict with the mod Bloodlust which i'm running. Btw, wonderful job venom.

It feels like the corpses sink into the ground a little bit if they fall on their back. Not sure if you can change the collision model so this doesn't happen, if you know what I'm talking about

I think deleting the ragdoll overhaul of IFA causes an error on startup saying that it's missing, but I guess I could ignore it(?). :steamthumbsup::jake:

@Marc yes it works fine in LAN, and also yes to your second question. I've never played IFA, i wasn't too sure what the file itself was called. But yeah delete that file and you should be good to go.

I know that this is meant for Singleplayer use, but does the mod still work on locally hosted servers? A few SP missions I play are only playable through local host so I'm hoping this version would still function (without the key and all). Awesome mod. :steamthumbsup::jake:

Another thing: Is this also compatible with IFA3? You mentioned for IFA to "delete ragdoll_overhaul.pbo to grant compatibility". Do you mean "ww2_core_c_ve_ragdolloverhaul_c.pbo"? Because ragdoll_overhaul doesn't seem to exist.

@ByakkoTiggeh sure, this mod has slightly better physics, along with a new feature that allows ragdolls to collide with physics objects, such as vehicles and furniture. I've also fixed a few bugs from 1.12 to make the mod more stable.

@venomDeejays fair enough. I guess its just one of those weird limitations within arma 3. Understandably, because the arma 3 engine is just a modification of the arma 2 engine. Which did not have ragdoll physics to boot.

@... yeah its a real shame, and is definitely one of the mod's biggest shortcomings. Shotguns look pretty silly as well. I've tried every available command in the config to fix this, with poor results. There's commands to increase/decrease explosion force, but not bullet force, oddly enough! The only way to "edit" the bullet force is by adjusting the weights of the ragdoll, making them lighter adds more bullet force but adds a whole host of new issues, so its not really worth it.

pretty good, but i wish there were more reaction to being hit by bullets like .338 and above. The ragdolls dont react very well to being shot. they kinda just slump over and fall down

@Slug thanks, I somehow never noticed that, but I fixed the heads for the new update. Adding more weight and flexibility is tricky, but I've also made a few improvements there I think. I'll upload the new build sometime tomorrow.
