someone have problem with alpha animals ? they don't drop hide
Tinda 29 DIC 2023 a las 1:24
There seems to be a bug concerning VFE Vikings, where you get Lothurr hides from butchering Njorun. I haven't checked if the reverse also applies; getting Njorun hides from butchering Lothurr.

The leather patch for Birds Beyond: Temperate Forest is already supported. Can the leather patch for Birds Beyond: Tropical Rainforest be added?

IF YOU WANT TO FIX THE ERRORS ON STARTUP, FOLLOW THIS GUIDE.

1) Navigate to *:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2611116560\1.4\Patches\Alpha Animals\AlphaAnimals.xml

2) Search for "ClutchMother". You should get three results, Dunalisk, Feralisk, and Blizzarlisk.

3) Notice the Blizzarlisk says "/lifeStages/li[1]</xpath>" and the others say "/lifeStages/li[3]</xpath>"?

4) Change the [3]s to [1]. You need to do both, Feralisk is bugged too.

5) Tadah. Bug fixed.

Please fix, I get that red error log when I open the game, the one for the ClutchMothers, I think Alpha updated their graphic or something.

Any chance for compatibility with the Monster Hunter Rimworld mod?

Absolute hero of a patch pack
Lavakookie  [autor] 15 ENE 2023 a las 3:27
@lt_oddy fixed it earlier today—thanks for letting me know, and enjoy the update/fix! :cozyspaceengineersc:

Found an issue where in the patches for 1.3 and 1.4 for Erin's Palamutes where it attempts to call the def for Erin's Chocobo hide rather than the proper Palamute hide.
Vertigo 30 DIC 2022 a las 14:32
@Thundercraft

The reason I mentioned the 1.3 vs 1.4 is the patches. The VAE mod was only combined for 1.4, so anyone using 1.3 would require the original mods and patches.
Lavakookie  [autor] 27 DIC 2022 a las 20:48
But yeah, for now, the individual VAE patches will stay in 1.3 folder, and then core will be 1.4 (and the 1.3 ones removed from that folder)
Lavakookie  [autor] 27 DIC 2022 a las 20:37
I'll be updating the mod, I made a small error with folder structure - should be working again!
@Thundercraft @Vertigo I hear both points and I think a good compromise moving forward would be for me to include a github with older iterations, just in case for legacy reasons etc.

I'm a bit busy today, but I'll try to get a github repository sorted soon™

Also, I will get onto those VAE patches! Strange that they combined them (less choice), but I'll take a quick look now :cozyspaceengineersc:
Thundercraft 27 DIC 2022 a las 19:26
@Vertigo wrote,
"You also should consider if you want to support both 1.3 and 1.4 or simply just keep up with the most recent version of the game."

I'm curious: Why do you say that? Consider how the author's mods already have 1.3 support & then consider how - since 1.0 - modding for RimWorld has built-in support for multiple game versions (unlike modding for a lot of other games).

If patches like this already works in RimWorld 1.3 and 1.4 (etc.), then what advantage is there in dropping support for previous version(s)? RimWorld mods have separate folders for each game version and RimWorld auto-selects the mod folder with with right version. And it's not like Tynan is going to make further changes to RimWorld 1.3 (or any other previous version) since his focus is now on 1.4.

If nothing else, a mod author could just put "Legacy" or "Abandoned" in the title and start a new version of a mod for the newest RimWorld. But I don't see many advantages to do so.
Vertigo 27 DIC 2022 a las 19:00
I believe all of your VAE patches need fixed since with 1.4 those mods were combined into a single one for the most part. You also should consider if you want to support both 1.3 and 1.4 or simply just keep up with the most recent version of the game.
Hohen 25 DIC 2022 a las 3:36
One of the chosen has returned. Praise be.
Lavakookie  [autor] 24 DIC 2022 a las 16:12
Just pushed a very quick update - I will be returning to add more mods soon ;)

Merry Christmas/Yuletide peeps! 🎄
Thundercraft 22 DIC 2022 a las 14:12
Does this still work in RimWorld 1.4?
Has anyone tested that?
Holgast 16 OCT 2022 a las 7:21
Hi, Magical Menagerie has now been renamed to Alpha Mythology. please change for your patch so it'll work again ;)
Jackledead 19 SEP 2022 a las 9:39
megafauna please as well
(≡◉‿‿◉≡) 24 AGO 2022 a las 12:13
megafauna please :)

We miss you, king. Come back home
Röstli 21 AGO 2022 a las 3:48
I'm getting those errors as well, but I managed to fix the cause. It seems like Medieval Overhaul started to use the Tanning Rack as a Processor instead of Recipes. Which means that all the patches which add recipes are now obsolete.

Deleting the xml files that contain the recipes (such as Witcher_HideRecipes) seems to fix the issue, and I can now use the hides from modded animals again.
Moonshine Fox 6 AGO 2022 a las 17:26
Well crap. Least that explains that then.
#6 3 AGO 2022 a las 22:34
Every one of the patches in this are throwing errors. I looked into it and Medieval Overhaul seems to have changed to a different structure for its leather recipes so the patches in this won't work until the author fixes things.
LordDeTracy 29 JUL 2022 a las 21:00
I too am getting alot of red error text
0river0blood0 26 JUL 2022 a las 9:02
I'm getting a lot of red text. Don't think its impacting the game but I'm hoping that might be fixed.
Htter28 25 JUL 2022 a las 9:42
Um I'm pretty curious when are the Kwamas (Morrowrim insects) and vanilla insects gonna get patched to drop scales or chitin or something of those sort?
Cause I just noticed it now that VFE Insectoids aren't in the above compatibility list.
Phant0m5 27 JUN 2022 a las 18:52
Soooo, the red errors don't seem to be breaking anything, but still wondering if that fix is coming?
The Neglegentia 17 JUN 2022 a las 15:10
Yeah a patch for Dragons Decent (if possible) would be pretty nice! All that nice dragon leather going to waste...
piercebuster 11 JUN 2022 a las 12:06
Does load order matter?

P.S.
Thanks for patching so many mods with this!
Baha 5 JUN 2022 a las 20:19
any chance of a patch for Dragon's Descent in the future?
Lavakookie  [autor] 3 JUN 2022 a las 17:06
If my patches work without the hide recipe xmls, then I'll push an update today :cozyspaceengineersc: I'm drowning in assessments at the moment, so if a more drastic fix is needed - it will have to wait until the end of semester (in two weeks 🎉 yay!)

Thanks for positivity btw @Kaeh, it's appreciated 😊
Kaeh 3 JUN 2022 a las 12:15
Hey there, patches that add any of the TreatAnyHide (huge, tiny etc) should be removed as it cause a lot of red message because it does not exists anymore in Medieval Overhaul.

Thanks for the mod and have a nice day !
Lavakookie  [autor] 26 MAY 2022 a las 16:16
Heya guys! I'm at uni atm, so sorry I can't do much this morning - but I just messaged Lala rq and my patches shouldn't have broken with the new update, so hopefully they can find what's causing these crashes soon™

Lala's let me know that there's an older version of MO posted on their server if people are still having issues and want to rollback until there's a fix
Ltlauti 26 MAY 2022 a las 8:05
It is causing crashes with the latest medieval overhaul update
