OH! @shoes i know why the names aren't displaying correctly. in the 00_top_countries AND 99_prescripted_countries text files in said mod file the name section is just "humans1" and not "EMPIRE_DESIGN_humans1"

I don't see it listed anywhere, but sometimes the jobs generated by the Sky Orchard will start producing Consumer Goods, Alloys, and Rare Crystals. Is this intentional? If so, what causes the jobs to produce those resources?

Are you supposed to be able to take Supersonic Flight without taking regular Aerodynamic Flight?Without that requirement it's just an extremely good trait for cheap

@Rylasasin That would imbalance the game. I've added cost 1 to many of those traits and disabled those I found unimportant. In development I simply didn't think AI would spam 0-cost traits.

I'm not sure if I posted this before (I think it needs repeating here,) but another thing that needs to be done is to make the 0-cost traits non-accessible to AIs. (Basically make it so only players can put them on through genetic modding.)

Simply put: the AI doesn't know what to do with them, and simply slaps all of them on without rhyme or reason.

Related to Nakaya's issue, can confirm it's not an isloated case; most empires invariably take on the sky order civic or start as one or something different and their names become "format.skyorder/republic.1/2/3/4/etc" which makes it difficult to tell who is who. I still maintain it's a fun mod though, despite that.

@Nakaya I've consulted with a more seasoned modder. They sorta fixed the problem but not quite, Paradox themselves admitted the new patch may affect mods this way.

@Rylasasin just looked at "Subterranean" on the wiki, and no, I would not invert those stats for Cloudborne. I have to also make Cloudborne different from my existing Sky Culture civic. How about this, their planet starts with unique/rare modifiers suited to a flying race. "Floating Islands" increase max building and/or district count, but "Hazardous Ground" makes the world unfit for ground races until a decision is made to remove it.

@CyrusWindstrider I neither predicted that issue, nor found it during my (cursory) beta testing. My planned solution is to make them cost something, but pay for said costs as part of their respective techs.

@Trynfox It's less that they create so many subspecies (though that is also an issue that isn't specific to this mod, just the AI trying to optimize in general, overly so) and more that as they add more to themselves even if they only have one subspecies that the galaxy species tab especially starts freezing the game due to there just being so many traits picked. Game simply isn't designed with so many traits in mind, I think, doesn't allocate enough processing to it or something.

On a more positive note, kudos for keeping in touch with people offering feedback, it's sadly somewhat frequent that good mods get abandoned when people point out issues, glad that isn't the case here.

@Tnynfox The AI goes absolutely ham with trait mods. Unfortunately the only reliable way to control it is just to disable the AI picking most of your mod's traits.

@CyrusWindstrider just disabled "soaring crime" modifier. As for the AI trait spam I'll consult someone else for help with this; in the meantime you may look for a lag reducer mod that limits the number of subspecies an AI empire creates or something.

As well, the "soaring crime" modifier showing up on day one (sometimes multiple times on one planet) is really not a great way to start a game. Just thought I'd mention.

I think what theo means is that the AI players keep making about fifty different subspecies of themselves, and the more traits are added, the more the game freezes up when you try to look at the species tab. It's a problem I've had before too and currently why I'm hesitant to turn this mod back on for a new game to try out Overlord properly. If the AI were limited in some way as to how many traits they could use, or simply were disallowed from the smaller 0-cost traits, it would go a long way to making them much less of a concern when it comes to freezing.

So whats up with the Elder Evolution trait, cause you can't add it before the game start, I tried to by empire file editing, didn't work, and if you add it after game start you just don't get the modification points and it shows up as an addable trait day 1 of my saves, so is that a bug or is this unfinished, maybe I have mods thats fucking with it.
