Everything looks great but I'm wondering if it's possible to solve: 1) 0 population in some cases and you can still recruit; 2) constant population consumption regardless how many soldiers I recruit. And that'll be great if battle in the territory will cause population decrease to a large extent, people are killed, starved, or run away from war

Every faction has now receive a buff that adds a lot of reserves for the first 5 turns when you start a game to prevent early rebellions and famine especially for the AI,

It's kinda immersion breaking how I can muster a much larger armies when I'm in a allied territory without having a single settlement. But when I have a settlement, I can't even muster a force that can take down a single looter army.

This mod doesn't seem to work currently for me. Once your reserves are gone, it's basically game over. Looters and yellow turban have huge advantages because they use supplies differently than others, which means they'll always have superior forces. Because of this system, having a decent sized forces to expand is extremely difficult, especially if you downloaded his other mods such as banditry mechanic. I think having armies not consume or reduce consumption when in garrisoned might fix this problem. This also changed a lot of initial starting difficulties, if you have only a single settlement with low fertility in 182 starting date, you're basically f**ked. With only a couple of turns there is looters everywhere. I use this mod when playing 182 start date, I might have better experience when I play other starting dates. Overall, I think this system is pretty cool but it needs some fixing, as ai seemed to have no idea how to deal with supplies.

Fertility especially during Harvest now gives more reserves, High Fertility and Harvest now give a constant passive food production, Granary building now produce a lot of reserve, Higher settlement level now has reserve penalty.

While the thought behind this mod is a great idea it seems the execution is lacking. Playing as Shamoke on Very Hard I can not get a strong army going to defend myself after a certain point. Even a 2 general army only defending falls flat with constant attacks from two sides from ai that seems to ignore what this mod is supposed to do. By turn 3 I have reserves draining rapidly despite 4 food produced the reserves are draining 7. Even when I have 27 food being produced/traded it still will only show 2-4 in reserves having so many debuffs that my city drains ALL my population with a whooping 120k-200k a turn. This is by turn 14 at the slowest. Perhaps some of you are better and have less of a hassle then I do but this has been my experience with this mod. So for now it while be disabled and if no new improvements are done then it will get deleted.

First of all, great that there are still active modders for this awesome game. I tried this mod in legendary difficulty with Ma Teng and its just impossible to keep order in the settlements, since without food reserves the penalties stack up and they revolt every turn. Any chance you will take a look at this? The idea is quite good, that food and reserves impacts more, but its not balanced for legendary atm.

I updated the mod now, foreign armies including hostile ones wont consume reserves in your land, having empty resserves now gives you a plus 1 reserve per turn until the reserve is positive. I did this counter-act possible frequent resserve shortage for the factions especially the ai.

I just want a model to consume a lot more attached to no one who travels throughout the map but never exhausted. And the reserve should not affect the army's movement capability on the campaign map, of course the reserve will provide more ammunition weapons. I don't want anyone to take the reserve when you are in my territory, they have to withdraw that troops of course?

Ok will do for, but the general reasoning is that enemy armies forcibly steal from local reserves, like the reserves of the many undefended villages and farm land, but still Ill do it.

I think you should remove that enemy or neutral armies consume reserves in your own territory because I know I wouldn't share with the enemy. Plus those armies bring their own supplies with them and if they run out then they have to retreat. I think that would work better than an enemy taking supplies out of your own cities for no reason other than being there.

This mod makes a lot of sense for the period.
How can money be the only non-trivial upkeep for an army at that time? Production at that time is nowhere near as efficient and capable as today.
