I've been looking for a mod for an anti-mining debuff for tanks and vehicles like the T-90, T-80, T-72, or specialized mine-clearing vehicles, but haven't found anything. Has no one come up with anything like this? Or does it all depend on the health of the vehicle and the complexity of the mechanics? After all, the vehicle itself could be made explosion proof, and the trailer separately steerable on a hitch.

@Potts2023 I don't know why you'd use DAFS and LAFS at the same time. It would be like turning on LAMBS and VCOM on at the same time, or turning on two soundmods. They do the exact same thing and you should use one or the other.

As for this mod, DAM, it can work with just about any AI mod as long as you disable that mod on whatever groups you want to be your mine-laying groups.

@Komodo You should disable LAMBS or VCOM on the mine-laying groups specifically as these mods are highly likely to interrupt DAM's AI.

would be awesome if you could create another mod, "Dynamic AI Mortars".
Too many workshop missions lack enemy mortars, like Dynamic Recon Ops.

@BIGGUY It does work for ACE IEDs. The AI will consider the Large IED to be an anti-tank mine too.

@Scarface @Stealth @Atlas It will work if you set it up, yes, but if you mean will it work just by turning on the mod in another game mode, no. These AI require specific set up to work, it's not like you just turn it on and AI start laying mine. Mine Laying Groups need to be specifically set up.

Rimjob, I love you man, but this mod causes a CTD on mission save. If I'm in a single player mission and I give the system time to generate a couple objectives, trying to save the mission results in a game crash every time.

@Dirty Pagan Most likely yes, I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. The main thing to note is that if DMP spawns groups that have mines on them and you have 'Auto Detect Mine Groups' on, then it will try to use those troops as minelayers. Solution there is either to turn off Auto Detect or to ensure whatever groups DMP is spawning don't have mines on them.

hello, DMP Drongo's map population, doesn't make the AI lay mines, so I'm in the clear and can use both this and DMP without expecting the issues mentioned in the demo video? thanks in advance

@RockDood Currently no, but it's something I may look into in the future. Main restriction is most mods don't have the ammunition.

I've used it with HAL, but yeah, you gotta make sure to exclude the mine laying units from HAL. Otherwise they'll get conflicting orders.

Would this mod work alongside Hal NR6? providing you exclude the units used for mine laying through the NR6 Tools? I'd test this for myself but I've been busier than I like and feel that asking is faster.

It'll more likely be TCL, Lambs has no mine laying capability to my knowledge. Haven't touched TCL for many years so it's more likely to be that.

@von Graf No, by vanilla AI will never lay mines. You are likely using VCOM, which includes a system where the AI occasionally drop mines. This mod has nothing to do with that system, and is entirely separate.

I have the impression the AI pioneers do lay single mines/explosives here and there during the battle. I'm not using any module of this mod in missions so far. Is that possible at all?

@Rob Nope, and I doubt it would work well at all. Exile is a very specific gamemode.
@✠DFSpecter Okay? The mod doesn't require ACE, it just is compatible with it. If you do run into any issues without ACE, let me know and I'll try to resolve them.
@YourPalDeebs It will work fine with ALiVE, just leave the mine layers out of the control of the ALiVE commander or else they may receive conflicting orders.
@Rollie This is an AI mod. Of course it's not client side. If anything it would be server side, but I'm unsure on that and haven't tested it.

@Kernal No this will not work with Zeus, it's a collection of modules for the Eden Editor. You can use Zeus in a mission with this running, but you can't active or set up the system through Zeus.
@Minhduc-dev Just this mod is all you need. ArmA 3 has land mines in vanilla, give those to some soldiers and use this mod to make the AI place them.

Usually, I don't touch ACE because... Well...

If ARMA 3 vanilla is comparable to DND 5e, then ACE takes ARMA and converts it into Pathfinder/3rd ed.


It's a style of game that people enjoy, but not me.

I just kinda don't, and having bad internet certainly doesn't help.
