I added another bootleg weapon (I'll try to do the update of all the files today): the Rheinmetal "Sea Ranger". Another repeater cannon.

I fancy trying to knock up a Chinese Type79 and the new Turkish Gokdeniz. Maybe also the Oto Melara Marlin.

The CIWS weapons should all have laser targeters for timed fuses in place already. I'll do an extra check of that tomorrow.

I think the most useful ones to have laser targeter would be CIWS ones. If i had to pick one it would be the goalkeeper, I find it's easiest barrel to decorate

Most of them have the capacity to use timed fuses, that's just a variable in the modding menu. Any specific ones you want me to check?

That's an artifact of the version I play for the moment, which the mod is made for. Armour stacking goes up to five layers deep, and you need twice the AC in AP to deal full damage. So that's 60 AP needed for double stacked metal alone.

Unfortunately, I know way to little about what stuff is like in current to make a second branch with adjusted balance.

I'm really liking most of these weapons. They are great to have to augment tank and anti-munitions armament, they are easy to deco up, and for the most part their cost is equal to their usage.

Some of the simple shell weapons seem a little overpowered, though. Mostly the ones that use some form of explosive shell along with high AP (like the BAE L/60). The AoE coupled with the high AP makes it just tear through nearly everything you point it at. I would suggest either dropping the AP of all explosive simple shells to near-zero or making anything with high AP kinetic-only.

Also, don't forget that the turrets as you see them in the screenshots need to be downloaded from the link in the description so you can spawn them as subobjects

okay so i deleted all my other mod and re downloaded and saved this mod and got a new tab in the build Menu called "Modern remote operated gun systems" is this the correct tab?

If that doesn't work - delete the folder associated with this mod and download it from scratch

ok so I found the file and everything it looks like everything is in place. it has the Assets/Audio clips/Audio collections/Inventory tabs/items/meshes objects. its all in the file

First of, go to your mod folder and check if there's any files related to this mod in there. They should be under /documents/from the depths/mods/Carolus magnus modern arsenal mod.

If that isn't there, that could be a clue. if it is there, could you check the contents of that file?

Subscribee in the workshop, downloaded and saved from within the game's mod workshop UI?
If this is a problem specific to the current FtD version, I might have to tweak the inventory tab setup inside the mod.

Otherwise, you're probably missing a step in the usual mod installation procedure.

idk if im just stupid but I cant seem to get the mod to show up ive subscribed and downloaded it and restarted my game multiple times but cant seem to find it in the the build menu

This is the first one I made - and it kinda shows. It's quite budget and janky as a solution. But if people like it, that's a win.

If anyone is willing to model the actual weapons, I'd be glad for their help. (or tips on how to do that myself for FtD)

There are quite a few simple weapon mods out there. I would recommend browsing the workshop's selection and picking what seems interesting. you can limit the displayed selection by using the tags on the right. Just select 'mods' from that list.
