@Lord Camo I left it there because I trust the devs more than myself on balancing. Conflation makes it even more beneficial to use that cultural decision, so removing what they intended as the trade-off seems too OP.

Just wondering, did you intentionally leave the permanent -12% citizen output modifier for "Promote Citizen Administrators"? Is that an intended debuff for using culture conflation; I know I never clicked the base game version of the decision because of this.

So the purpose of this mod is to make it more likely for cultures to assimilate into like integrated cultures right? Like if my main culture was caledonian, and I integrate Scandians, Istvaonics are more likely to become Scandians than Caledonians? Does Assimilation become slower overall?

@Lewa263 Hey mate, can I check something, is the culture conflation meant to completely block vanilla assimilation? My pop tab is showing a -100% malus for being administered by cultural kin, essentially soft locking out assimilation by the usual means. I get it, it's probably to prevent vanilla assimilation from snatching pops that would otherwise be conflated but as it is it blocks assimilation altogether meaning even culture groups not administered by kin don't get the chance to be assimilated on account of the slot being blocked. I think the mechanic is fine in and of itself, but with such a long cooldown (30+ years?) it gets really painful. Thanks for making the mod though, it's such a great mechanic, even if I don't agree with how it's tuned.

My other mods are crisis of the third century, crisis of the third century betterblobs submod (which doesn't change anything relating to culture), invictus, navigable rivers, besides that more cultural names. It happened late in a playthrough, I'm going to try another one and look very carefully at any senate event.

@Hunkulous I've never seen anything like that. It could be a conflict between this mod and some other mod, maybe? But this mod doesn't add anything that would automatically integrate a culture.

Hey, why does my culture have -200% happiness. Why do I have 30 integrated cultures? How does this even possibly have the potential to happen? I can't revoke the privilege so I guess my whole save is ruined? I'm fairly certain it's this mod not 100% so I don't want to falsely accuse anyone, but I can't stop playing with it. Also I'm on iron man mode. What should I do?

@Antipater_Chulianus 1. The mod slows down assimilation to the primary culture if they have the cultural modifier of being administered by cultural kin. Other cultures will still assimilate like normal.
2. Only one culture can have the cultural administrators decision taken per culture group. But if you have other integrated cultures in the culture group, those pops will not have their culture changed.

@General Rubenski Yes, it sounds like you understand correctly. If you have Memphic with citizen rights, pops of the other Egyptian cultures will gradually change to that culture instead of Macedonian.

Im kinda confused here. So is the point of this mod to take sub-cultures of a bigger over all culture and integrate them or what? Like taking Thebic and Fayumic and making them lets say, Memphic since if playing Egypt, Memphic have citizen rights. Or am I wrong?

Having pops adopt closer integrated cultures instead of the primary culture through assimilation was always my goal with the mod (well, the real goal was to show Paradox that people want that added to the game, but I was too late). I could allow the event to fire more often to account for small numbers of pops of many cultures in the culture group, though.

I think the mod is worse off with that modifier - before you had a natural mixture of cultures between your assimilated main culture and the citizen administrator culture. Now smaller cultures persist due to pulses being so far apart and no natural assimilation.

@canavar Yes, the negative assimilation modifier was part of the update. That way, cultures stick around to get conflated instead of being assimilated to your primary culture.

after the update, there's a modifier which makes cultures assimilate at -10000% speed, also mod keeps making my game crash. im also not sure your mod even worked for me before the update:D

@PalaiogosTheGreat This mod is compatible with FMO. There are no file overlaps. Are you seeing the "Promote Citizen Administrators" cultural decision on your integrated culture? Does its tooltip mention how many pops will be conflated?

I can't seem to enable the "Promote Citizen Administrators" decision, as the condition "there must be at least 2 other cultures with at least 100 pops between them in the same culture group" is failing. However, in the very same message it states that there are 147 pops that would be affected, and there are 4 other cultures in the same culture group available - this seems like all those conditions are being met.

Imperator Day update!

In addition to confirming that it still works with the Invictus update, I actually made some changes to the mod this time. It should partially alleviate a problem where unintegrated pops are both assimilating to primary culture and conflating to an integrated culture in their culture group. I can't stop assimilation, but I can kick pops from primary to the integrated culture so that when the unintegrated one assimilates, the end result is the same as if assimilation didn't happen.

Zamensis, the modder behind Virtual Limes, also did some work reorganizing this mod's files and making some of the script more clear. It won't affect you as a player, but I appreciate the help. Thanks!

I know I commented earlier, but perhaps in a fix for this the time scale should be dynamically shorter the quicker your cultural assimilation is.

Can't see "Promote Administrators in Subcultures". What I can see is "Promote Citizen Administrators". For example, it appears for Boharic non-primary integrated culture for Ptolemaic Kingdom. Is that it?

Hi. You may have overshot the time for conflation a bit :D

I assimilate cultures much faster than they conflate. Personally i would reduce it to like 30 years or so

Alright, there is now a separate version of Culture Conflation for TI since this one is no longer enough to stay compatible. This mod will continue to maintain compatibility with Invictus.

having the game just randomly completely tank when playing the game with invictus and this mod. Did work perfectly fine for the first 150 years but then crawled to a halt with one day per 5 minutes in January 677 (154 BC). The save works perfectly fine again when I remove this mod from the game.

Huh. I checked and that event and the file it's in are unmodified in both Invictus and my mod. There is a trigger for the second option to be available where the refugee characters need to not be of your family. It seems unlikely for that to be the case, but maybe it was for you? Otherwise, I don't know how to help. I can't see any connection with my mod.
