It ended up on my and the game's sides as the latest update does not work with the latest GPU driverss of AMD. My issues came from there.

It shouldn't need an update, nothing has changed. I just checked both mods and they seem fine.

Yes. This mod simply unlocks higher tier blueprints and allows for direct purchase of said blueprints for later use. Making them free would unbalance the game economy.

Turret crafting stayed the same, but instead of marking the factory on the map, you can just buy any blueprint you like and compare them at ease.

The Turret Factory still requires materials for turrets. Is this how it should be?

It was brought to my attention that this mod allows buying of tech 50+ turret blueprints. While it's not a big issue as there is no use for them in the game, it would be unprofessional to leave it be.

However, just blocking that option would be boring.

So, starting from update 1.7 you can craft as many tech 51 and 52 turrets as you like. This will require a tech 50 factory and will cost more materials and credits than before, but you can forget there was a limit on this.
Those turrets are intended for the end game though, so you'll need a good source of credits.

Thanks for taking interest. I lost count of all the times I have randomly found an interesting turret and just wanted to save it for later. That's why I tried making this mod.

The price for making a blueprint was meant to be a crafting license/convenience fee. Saves the hassle of always carrying ingredients or writing down sectors, therefore shouldn't be cheap.

I did however lower it to 1.5x the turret cost. Either way, it's meant more for the end game (bit of a credits sink) where you can have multiple high tier factories and credits are not an issue.

Considering that this is more of a "save preset" functionality I find it overkill to have to pay twice the build price for that.
With the early turrets that might not be a big issue, but later when the goes in the 8 digits it's quite ridiculous.

I still love the basic idea and think that something like this should be added to vanilla too.
What blueprints would also need is to show their material price in the tooltip so you don't need a factory to know what to get when shopping -_-

From a quick look at the base script, that might be possible. It could be a good idea to add something like this. However, at the moment I'm not able to work on this mod.
Unfortunately, all I can really do is point you to other mods that allow direct editing of turrets.

No promises, but I'll keep this idea in mind when I have more time for things like this.

Is there a way to add the option to improve an inventory blueprint with more materials, like if you turned a missile turret into a blueprint and wanted to add more targeting cards or something?

Thank you for reporting that. I fixed faction relations check, all turret tiers should work fine now.

this mod does not work for some reason. when entering the turret factory, when selecting a turret drawing, well, as from the screenshot of the mod, how would everything work, but after selecting the drawing I have 2 buttons there, buy and build. And not a single button works, no matter how many times I tried to poke it. by removing this mod, everything works.

Indeed, this change is only for easier factory blueprints. Actually, that name might be better, thanks.

The idea was to save the hassle when looking for good turrets. Sure, you can write everything down or even take screenshots of factories. But that's tedious and slow. See a turret you might use, but still want to check other sectors? Just buy the blueprint and compare them all later. It's not like credits are a problem at that point.

This works for me, but any feedback is of course appreciated.
