I'll hopefully get the updated version up on the workshop soon. I want to do some more testing and implement a few more things before I do. trying to keep most of the code shared between b41 and b42 aside from things that I can't liked TimeActions being changed a bit. The GUI addon will be updated with the core mod as well most likely as I just need to make a small update to it.
Autodrink add-on will come later as they added flasks in b42 and how recipes are structured in general with the new fluid system.

Phase 1 can be countered with just smoking 1 cigarette and you never get to experience any of the rest.
playing with this since over a week now and at no point did my character want actual "alcohol".
also, every time i log in, i now have one empty beer bottle in my inventory now that wasnt there before.
I was looking everywhere for Alcoholic traits that were punishing.
I will post an updated version soon.
I fixed the bug that applied alcoholic stress to people without the trait as well.
The way I applied happiness was incorrect as well so that is fixed up.
I've revamped the events and now hook into the timed action for consuming drinks which seems to work a lot better than how I had it before.
The new code structure is going to allow me to add separate features easily as well. Main thing I'd like to implement first is an auto-drink alcohol feature that will play nicely with the smoker trait and autosmoke mod.
I'm trying to make sure the mod can be updated on existing games as well just incase so it shouldnt break anything (I hope).

Couldn't you create a separate sickness effect from vanilla?
You can enable/disable the withdrawal poison and increase or decrease the amount of sickness it applies in the options now though while I try to find the sweet spot.
it is very rare to see the nausea moodlet, becoming redundant.
I'll add some comments for the next upload. I got some ideas to play with.
I'll check the poison thing some more too!

Please continue with the mod, in multiplayer it will generate a very good alternative to Smoker, but perhaps a deadly combination...

Which i mean makes sense as it adds an alcoholic trait aswell, but i like ur version more
