Hi Grim, any mod which has GM mode as a dependency will break food unfortunately. It’s a bug in the game.

hello, there is a bug with winter overide removing the duration on some food items <3

Not 100% sure as I don’t play story mode anymore but I think any mod disables achievements?

This mod disable achievement?

谁能给咱翻译一下

Glad you like it! Yeah I agree, when overriding materials directly there are some unavoidable trade offs.

While the (green) grass is kinda an eyesore (if it was dead grass it'd fit in percently), this mod works pretty well in Story mode.

Caves feels cold and barren, and some areas look great! Thou there are some silly moments like how the Undertaven's floors are covered in snow, but I'm not against it, it just comes off atomspheric to me.

Yeah story mode was a last minute addition, the mod is really meant for GM mode. That would require me overriding all atmospheres which would reduce the options for Game masters in GM mode, which I want to avoid. If anyone wants to do this themselves using this mod as a dependency I would be happy to help but I have no plans to do it myself as I don't play story mode anymore.

Understandable, I wouldn't mind it being entirely gone giving how grating it looks, but it's still a really solid-looking mod.
The Weather also seems to be unaffected by the Snow mod on the campaign?
KingKenna  [author] 28 Dec, 2021 @ 12:04pm
I decided not to remove the grass as maps start to look very blank without any. A new texture would need to be created to change the grass to white which I am not familiar with so no plans sorry.
maxine64 27 Dec, 2021 @ 6:36pm
Right, it looks great, tho some patches of grass remain unchanged, could these be removed all-together or tweaked? I love your work here.
KingKenna  [author] 27 Dec, 2021 @ 4:08pm
@dr.oldboi not really, the mod works by overriding the existing materials used so it will effect all maps. You could always just turn it on or off depending on the area you are in.

Any chance there could be a winter version of some specific campaign locations? Such as just Arx.

@Jay Vi I have just made it available for Story mode, enjoy
Jay Vi 21 Dec, 2021 @ 10:18pm
Was gonna ask what below asked about story mode haha would be a nice change o:
KingKenna  [author] 19 Dec, 2021 @ 8:27am
@a-Fluffy-Puppy My bad, it seems my wording has confused people. There is no button to toggle in game, just click or unclick the mod before a GM session. I have updated the title and description to avoid confusion.
a-Fluffy-Puppy 17 Dec, 2021 @ 6:07pm
Hey there, I hate to ask a dumb question but where is the button that toggles the winter effects on/off?? I made sure the mod downloaded and was selected for the game but cant find the toggle.
Thank you in advance for the help @KingKenna

Pine trees fixed
Rathalos23 16 Dec, 2021 @ 4:02pm
@KingKenna would be very nice ^^

I ask because i went into modding because some of them were not compatible with the Definitive Edition, and somehow it wasn't that hard to port those mods.
So i wonder if that could be same here, i suppose that the ressources are all here, and maybe there is a simple toggle option for which game mode the mod can be used, but who knows.
KingKenna  [author] 16 Dec, 2021 @ 3:59pm
@Rathalos23 mods for story mode are new to me so no promises but I will have a look when I have some time off
Rathalos23 16 Dec, 2021 @ 8:29am
@Kingkenna Thanks sir, i'll check it out when i can :) !

Before i try myself : do you think this mod can be converted for the normal campaign mode then ?
KingKenna  [author] 16 Dec, 2021 @ 4:53am
@Rathalos23 Hey, GM is gamemaster mode which is pretty much a tabletop(like D&D) game in dos2 that you can play with others, here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNxDMZhiGtU&t=6014s&ab_channel=LarianStudios

Sorry but this mod is not available for the normal campaign mode.

In terms of resources for modding:

- The dos2 modding discord is a must have: https://discord.com/invite/larianstudios

Hello KingKenna !
I got two questions for you, sir :)

First, is this mod usable in a normal game ? I'm new to modding and i have no idea what "Game Mode : GM" means. It's Chrismas and i really want to try out your Winter mod, sounds awesome and themed :D !

Second... May i ask where did you learn to mod ? I started modding a few days ago and i have some cool ideas in mind, but i struggle finding good ressources, so if you have anything to share i'll be thankful.
KingKenna  [author] 15 Dec, 2021 @ 2:20am
@TumblerPiston Thanks for letting me know, I checked on my other computer and yes it is not meant to look like that. I don't have access to the PC I made the mod on until the weekend but I will fix it then.
TumblerPiston 14 Dec, 2021 @ 4:56pm
Really like the concept, and also that it can just be toggled mid game, but pine trees in my game have some very blocky textures on the leaves. I had a look at Luxen's maps and his trees don't seem to have that, so I assume it's not on purpose. Don't know if it's something on my end.
KingKenna  [author] 14 Dec, 2021 @ 12:51pm
You are welcome! Enjoy.
Staggashack 13 Dec, 2021 @ 8:13pm
yo this looks sick going to try it out now! thanks!
