The thing is most textures are vertex color picked like the original, I just took the most yellow and ran with it. The mirage is mostly yellow with studs on top of the legs and I just used a color picked flipbook rather than using the stud texture copied a couple times and deleted partially on most partitions. Not sure I'd call it a bug though it's barely visible in the first place.

I've only remade them for the pseudo realistic cars that'd bump on the rough triangles of the original map, your seem to work just fine though. Not really into giving them to others mostly I don't really like them myself so many mistakes you do while in the zone.

I'm making a Lego Racers Mod for Mario Kart Wii.
I've already created all the UI Elements and ported 11/13 maps over to Mario Kart.

However, while the maps are fun to drive, they are not even close to being as pretty as yours. That's why I wanted to ask if I could use your 3D models.

There's so many games out there I've yet to see. I did get Flatout Forest1 but it's without buildings as of yet. Ride to Hell:Retribution just has Unreal packets of map pieces I could piece together, so many things not to mention the other NFS maps that seem to break the game's routing logic.

I see, thank you for the information. There was a racing game on the PS3 called motorstorm, you may have heard of it, but anyways I had the wild thought of what if those maps were placed in wreckfest, since the game is basically an extreme offroad desert racing game and would mesh pretty well. Nonetheless now that you mention it the PS3's file architecture is probably wildly different so I'm not sure if it would even be possible in this case.

Wreckfest has some limitations, mostly the 3 way shortcuts, cap of 8 alternate routes, some weird bug of routes being too round or snapping to insane elevation. Getting the map files is quite dependant on the game itself. Nfs4 has the files just there, NSR has the map just there the textures you need to rip manually, LR you can extract, convert and import the static meshes but the rest is a guesswork where it's suppose to be. Used a recording to get where to place palm trees for example. DKR, or all N64 things, is just frame dumps from emulator but rips for sprites since they don't come with the meshes. Racers 2 is terrain with manually placed objects, same as Flatout and BigRig. Probably best to learn how to Blender fast before doing this could have saved alot of time.

Both a hilarious and fantastic mod. Question though; the process you mentioned you used in your previous comment, could that be done for other games, ie porting maps from other games? I know nothing about modding, but just a general inquiry I suppose.

Racers 2 is just a pain, not to mention the races are world maps so you have to port the entire landscape then find all the buildings and place them. For this one you only need to dump the packed file, convert all the map components and bulk import using a script. All the objects and animated thins are not properly located though.

Turns out it was a missing tcat and the workshop download can use the wreckfest folder's tcat "track" directory and I forgot to copy it out, DDD should work now for everyone, fingers crossed.

It does run (for me at least) with just this mod download enabled so either mod conflict or corrupt download. I don't use custom material or mod dependance if it happens to others all I can do is reupload the same thing or do something random and trial & error so not sure.

I've attempted to try out the Dark Forest Dash track, but unfortunately, my game crashes when it tries loading the track. Unsure of what the cause could be.

I was hoping I could allow all shortcuts, that however was before I found out you can triple shortcut as long as you never place down a checkpoint on them and the main route encompasses every green, red and blue of the alt routes.

A fun pack of maps. Some of the roads are a bit bumpy to drive on, but I guess that's just how they port. The shortcuts even work!

Racers 2 map files are hard to get a grasp of, models possible if the modding community had a converter just editors and viewers as far as I saw it. Tried that beforehand didn't even launch on windows 10 (unlike LR1 but the installer didn't I had to install it on win7) and worked just fine. Do remember how resource heavy it was and how crude the actual road races were.

@Dehumanizer This happens if you play with track mods which have not been updated after the 30th of June game update. If you put the mods in a certain order in the modloader the cars won't instantaneously get dirty.

All cars now (since over half a year) have a dirt layer over both body and body_damaged not sure you can remove that from normal cars maybe the showroom mod found a way? Without the texture no dirt so modded cars can go without.

It launches on windows 10, but it couldn't install on windows 10 I did it on 7 and launched it from external hard drive.

I could smooth both map and make cars (as soon as I get one going it'll just be a copy paste job) not many of the maps require smoother I was working on the third map but I've been distracted with the car settings.
