Updated with new system and 1.12.4
Earliest next week though
If anyone wants to take over, here are the files: https://github.com/Skalha/skalla_ck3_ai.git
You may do with the files as you wish.
The following values are influencing the AI's willingness to fight stronger enemies:
CB_TARGET_MAX_STRENGTH
CB_TARGET_AT_PEACE_STRENGTH_RATIO_MAX
ENEMY_MAX_STRENGTH_MULTIPLIER
CB_TARGET_AT_WAR_STRENGTH_RATIO_PER_WAR
ENEMY_COMBAT_STRENGTH_MULTIPLIER
@footsoljer Barely any time to work on it, but I'll see if I can find some time in the near future. I've updated it once more to fix the issues of Paradox' last few updates.
@Dracane This mod hasn't been updated in a while, most issues should be fixed now. Will consider the possibility of a player hate mechanic.
It's also still working with the current version. Just haven't changed the version number yet.
Not sure how exactly my mod would behave in an existing save regarding game rules.
I'd assume that the default options would be chosen automatically, those being very high AI aggression, medium AI blobbing and vanilla AI strength (no bonuses).
My game rules are simple modifiers. Editing a different modifier to apply should take immediate effect on the game.
@jbjb9a It works fine, the version number just doesn't match.
Ideally, I'd like the AI to consider the amount of enemies and their strength when choosing a target for a casus belli. Not sure how I would go about this, but perhaps I'll figure something out in time.
An attack may seem suicidal to you, but it is not when you are already at war with another faction.
And very often even if the faction has less power than you, it's not a problem, because very often other neighboring enemies will take the opportunity to attack you at this time. So you'll quickly end up overwhelmed.
And in CK3 the declarations of suicidal wars are not necessarily illogical and in case of defeat, the penalty of gold and prestige for the AI is not so impactful.
That's just my opinion.
For the sake of making the AI less suicidal, only strong factions will attack and continue to grow, so the only way to bring down a great empire is to wait for them to fall from within and not by several harassment from all fronts. It's sad
