4. Add { name = "Louisville, KY", file = "media/maps/OccupiedLouisvilleKY/spawnpoints.lua" }, to your server's SpawnRegions.lua
After adding the map, it automatically generates this but with "OccupiedLouisvilleKY". Do I add an additional entry then? As both point to the same file.
Also, no more bus stops in the main spawn-list (they deserve their own), and things of that nature.
If I do end up doing it, I'd probably upload it as its own mod.
That'd all have to wait at least until after an updated map of B42 unstable with co-ordinates is made available online though.
If you will work on it when you're available, will the update be posted here or on a new page?
also id the option to instead start at a home in louisville
And, if possible, adds occupational spawns to the other smaller towns?
If not, that would be a really cool addition to this mod @Cuckoo
If I can, I wonder whether it's when spawning anywhere in the mall (including store rooms, bathrooms, backrooms, helipad, etc); or if it's when spawning into the store fronts in particular (which would account for most of the mall spawns), with those open entrances that provide no barrier between you and the rest of the mall space.
It would be a bit of a shame, but if it's reproducible, I could try restricting more of those to be store rooms, backrooms, and other spaces initially separated from the general mall area (assuming that's the nature of the issue).
( Will hope u added this localization to the original one )
Of course, don't let me stop you!
I understand where you're coming from, and I agree that a setting to (perhaps) preclude zombies spawning in your starting room, instead of your entire starting building, would be great. I wouldn't personally know where to begin modding that in, though.
As hinted in the description, I only had singleplayer (or very low-pop co-op) experiences in mind when making this. The fact it works for multiplayer is just a happy coincidence.
It's first and foremost a random(-ish) assortment of stark and incongruently-balanced starting locations, instead of a set of balanced (but mostly-interchangeable) residential houses, mainly because that's what I was interested in working on (at the very least to start).
You may want to try Pillow's Random Spawns if you haven't already, I think I remember it including at least one spawn region (probably more) for domestic neighbourhood starts in Louisville.
Just tried it alongside a few other Louisville spawnpoint add-ons, and it all seems to load and run fine.
On a practical level, you'll still have to pick which addon's "Louisville, KY" to use for each new character. They won't all be combined into one master "Louisville, KY" spawn region, or anything along those lines.
