Hello, I'm aware of the issues people are having but I haven't been able to reproduce them. Please let me know what DLCs and mods (if any) you are using and I will look into it.

Major bug: As of 05/11/2025 with this mod enabled on game version 1.16.5 you can no longer open the research tree to research anything. Upon clicking the research button the screen flashes as if the research screen is trying to open then immediately closes rendering this mod unusable.

Hey I have a question somehow when I have this mod activated I can`t open the research tree anymore. Might that have to do something with that this mod is for an a little bit older version of the game now?

Confirmed, the change is tied to Expert AI.

I think this may be some weird conflict with Expert AI. After enabling it, I went from five levels of expansion (with research increasing the number of slots opened from +2) and the four resource factories (each capped at, I believe, five slots; research increases output) to twenty levels of expansion (no research, all +5 IIRC) and the total number of resource factories set to twenty (any quantity of each; no specific research, output seems fixed, unless it's linked to the Excavation techs).

Could be another mod overriding it, though. Just seems weird if it used the same icons (expansion and the four resources).

hey i have a question. The mod "Expanded resources" {LINK REMOVED} somehow overrides the gamerules making it so if i for example dont want resource expansion it will still show up in the buildbar. Also it overrides the techwindow which i understand why. If it is not too much to ask i would be really grateful if you could make it compatible :)

research tab bug occured with all DLCs on and after I checked it turned out to be some incompatiblity with a smaller mod i had in playset, didn't check which one exactly.

You should also let me know what DLCs you are using, if any, when you comment. When I test this it is in an otherwise unmodded playset with all DLCs enabled.

Hi, I have provided a hotfix for the building slots not being applied properly. Thank you to Chasem121 for providing the fix. So far I have not noticed any of the crashing issues other people have been getting. Please test it with all other mods disabled if you are having issues, and be as specific as possible when commenting so I can track down any problems. Cheers :steamthumbsup:

Hi! There is some problem with the mod. Technologies do not appear in the tech tree. However, all buildings and shared building upgrades show up in the build menu in the right places as if they were researched, but shared building upgrades don't work whether I start a new game or play a saved game. Buildings providing raw materials are operating normally.

To fix this go into the mod and into the inex_buildings.txt file and change put state_modifiers = { } around the local_building_slots = 2. So it looks like:


state_modifiers = {
local_building_slots = 2
}

Thanks for the update, however I since I discovered the really cool Reworked Air Designer mod ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2948174914 ) this mod seems to be incompatible with it, any chance for a patch? (The reworked air designer adjusts a few techs in industry and electric branch for plane modules)

Is this mod compatible with expert AI 5.0 ? When i load them together the research tree seems to have reserved space for it, but researches arent really there.
