Monorail Mania

I did have success. I had to take out a bigger loan and operate on a deficit for a few months, but traffic picked up enough to make a profitable park. I'm probably going to get to the same point as with Zypherus Plains in that I'll get a developed park, struggle to get anywhere close to the monthly profit goal, and then play another scenario. But this one really is a treat to look at. At this point my only real critique is that the layout of the plots means that one doesn't have an incentive to pan the camera over the rest of the lovely cityscape.

Started to. Running into a huge cashflow issue so far. I am trying ti play more like Silvarret and really make rides look good as I build them, but finishing the monorail, a decent coaster, and a couple of flat rides exhausts the starting cash. Right off the bat that monorail is a good few hundred a month in running costs and its required to keep guests from getting stuck in the two empty plots. Some of the guests also disembark the monorail station in the city and just despawn which interrupts that guest spending money. I'm not saying its bad, its just the most challenging scenario of yours I've attempted so far. (I don't touch pay-per-entry scenarios as one can NOT generate enough cash flow for a more casual play style) I can't even get close to Zypherus Plains' 4K/mo profit with four damn good coasters and lots of flat rides, getting to 5k in this will be an outright adventure.

Did you play it yet?

This has me kind of excited to play because for the first half of "Power Play" I was using a monorail as the only link between the two halves of the park. It taught me that unlike RCT, you need to have very large stations and trains compared to the coasters. It also taught me that Point to Point, even between only two stations, is TERRIBLE. Continuous circuit and multiple trains is the only practical way to make something like this work imho.
