This version of Danger Zone: Scent of Blood is now discontinued. The original Danger Zone: Scent of Blood mod now offers Sandbox Setting options for:

-Range of blood detection
-Whether or not dirty blood-soaked bandages attract
-Whether or not zombies are only attracted to deep wounds

if you are in the suburbs you will be constantly harassed by zombies with this mod installed since the moment you acquire a minor wound your position will instantly, telepathically be given away to all zombies within the radius just as soon as your clean bandage turns dirty. bluetooth connections aren't even as fast as how quickly these zombies catch on to where you are. imo i think dirty bandages shouldn't alert zombies, but open wounds still should, so you have to choose between leaving the dirty bandage on and risking infection in the long term or changing it off and revealing your scent to any nearby undead in the short term. it'd make you think more about when and where you change your bandages, which would be a huge net positive for gameplay. as it is right now you need to babysit the health menu just to minimize the disadvantage that the blood-based ESP zombies now have constantly puts you at

Hey ! you can add : if player:isAlive() == true then because if the play stay afk, this will continue this will continue to attract zombies to the player's zombie

Be me. turned this mod on with sprinters. Started with injuries as a negative trait. Forgot about mod being on. Panic when the bandages start soaking with blood. XD 10/10 would poop my pants again

Mod Options would be a good way to make options in your mods compatible with servers, also would this work with the Fear the Sun mod? Where zombies go inside and become dormant at day unless you attack? I assume it would just make them wake up if you got too close while bleeding which I would like but I can also see it conflicting

ANNOUNCEMENT: Thanks to everyone that has been enjoying the Danger Moodles and Danger Zone mods! I know I haven't been around as much as I was when I first put them out. I am working hard an update for my indie game. As soon as I've finished that update I will be back in full swing to fix bugs, dig through feedback for updates, and even to put out some fresh new mods! Thank you, everyone, for all the cool comments and I hope you've been having fun.

@Xiivait - Yeah, I haven't had time to tackle a reliable options solution yet. My philosophy is that my mods work in both single and multiplayer and are able to be added to save games that are already in progress. That has made the whole options thing harder than it needs to be but I'll figure it out eventually.

In the mean time I'll whip up a "10" version. That seems to be the number I'm hearing most.

Is it possible to make a configurable version with the mod menu? Or a medium version because I think 50 is too much and 5 is not enough.

Very nice. I wanted to do the first version but didnt like the far range. Personaly i think 10 or 15 would be better also. GJ ono all your mods, I like the added gameplay they give

Thanks for making the lite version, but this feels super lite. Could this be set to 10? 5 is just barely across the street and barely next door. 10 would probably be a sweet spot, without being unrelentingly difficult.
