Is there anything to be done about the animation for shield bash not playing? Author mentioned its probably True Primary Secondaries so would swapping to another mod make this work? Thanks for any advice

I'm actually listing every perks from base game and mods I have to create the XCOM abilities decks for classes that don't have one. When I was listing your knight perks, I think that I found two problems in your XComClassData.ini :
- In the "Tier1_XComAbilities" deck, you put two times "ShadowOps_ExtraMunitions".
- In the "Tier2_XComAbilities" deck, at the line "(AbilityName="MZLongRangeDefense")), \\", you should have only one ")". actually, the next 5 lines are ignored.

Thanks for the help, mod jam was in fact what I was missing. Was able to install it mid campaign and everything was fixed :)

I think you need Mod Jam to turn squad upgrades for ballistic shields into single built weapons, or change the config file of this mod to use Templar shields instead.

best to double check all required mods, maybe unsub/resub to them, then check if any other mods you have mess with it

I'm sure you may not know the answer since its technically not your mod, but I can not get access to the higher tier ballistic shields, I can only get the mk1. Makes it a little harder to enjoy playing shield classes like the knight in LWOTC. Would you know the fix for this?

its just the animations from i think true primary secondaries + ballistic shields, their isnt a proper shield bash animation with sword + board.. not something i can fix... Purely an animation thing

I'm having a weird issue where when I use knights change he just stabs the guy with his sword instead of doing a shield bash.

did you install the pet rock perk pack? knight got reworked to have a modified shield bash, and a new main sword attack.

I'm having a recent issue, never had it before. For some reason my Sword slash main attack ability is nowhere to be seen. First ability is shield bash. Anyone have a fix or similar issue?

oh yeah it is intended, i thought i already updated descriptions, guess i forgot lol. they got that but i took away their dashing sword attacks. so they dash with the shield, attack with the sword

Hello Captain, I have a question regarding this class: the description says that the Lightning slash has a 4 Turn cooldown, nontheless I am currently using it in a campaing and can be used every turn, and even 2 times per turn. Is this intended and the description is not updated? Is this due to the new perk pack you uploaded? Thanks

Well most likely the issue is from not having LWOTC installed, some perks and other stuff used in the class are from LWOTC.

So ive been using this mod to replace the other paladin mod because i was unable to use blade mastery and bladestorm together. But this mod comes also with a problem, i cannot change the knight/paladins primary weapons, but thankfully the shields works and the skill tree works. Still i gotta say that no, im not running LWOTC because im currently in a campaign already so i did not want to add that in.

For anybody else who's having this issue: I managed to find the mod that fixes this. The "Strategy Overhaul Bridge: Ballistic Shields" mod specifically makes ballistic shields individually buildable, which allows you to make alloy & SPARK shields.

Ah, I see, thank you. It seems the issue is that the alloy shield upgrades are disabled somehow-- I can't even spawn an alloy shield with console commands. Now that I think about it, SPARK shield upgrades aren't available either. Looking online, it looks like I'm not the only one with this issue. Either way, it seems like the problem isn't on this mod's end, so sorry to have bothered you with this... though I am curious how come you don't have this issue.

never ran into that issue personally, the templar and hoplite are supposed to use a different shield from the templar anyways, and the upgrades are seperate to, should be templar shield mk2/mk3 for templar, and alloy shield/powered alloy shield for knight/hoplite

Hey, I've been playing with this mod in my latest playthrough, really enjoying it so far. I've run into a bit of a problem, though: it seems LWOTC originally reserved the ballistic shields for their Templar class, and as a result custom classes like this one and the Hoplite class can't equip upgraded shields (at least as far as I can tell). This means they're stuck with the dingy Mk. 1 shield the entire game, which is not great. Do you suppose there's any way to fix that?

Anway I wanted to come back and say after playing a campaign with all the classes I tried (FIrst 4) this one has 100% made it into my play list definitely my favorite one you made that I have tried.

do you accidentally have primary secondaries installed ontop of true primary secondaries, i believe it will cause a conflict if you have both, Any mod that requires primary secondaries will work better with true primary secondaries so you can ignore the dependency if you have it.

I can't equip the knight with a sword. He starts with an normal rifle, and doesn't show any weapons for his primary. If I unequip the rifle, I can't reequip it. Any ideas?

its damage based on tier, 1 at conventional, 2 at mag, 3 at plasma, bare knuckle i believe scales harder so keen edge is the less damage option

i appreciate all feedback, i was thinking about maybe replacing executioner with coup de grace (bonus damage against stunned/disorriented enemies) that could fix the damage issue if he has it
and maybe cutthroat with keen edge (damage/armor pierce)

yeah, was a problem with finesse refunding both action points on dash, i would be fine with it if it only refunded 1, looking into a way to get that working, but 100% needed a nerf in the meantime. the lightning slash (shield) is for positioning or disorienting 2 enemies, if you get shield trauma you can 1 action stun two enemies with it.

and yes i was wrong with dam as burial blade is nice but lv 1 sheild with lightning slash is pointless and 80% of the time its 1 dam thats why hoplite has bere knuckle but again not sure if that would be op with sword hard balence

iv played with both today and yes the 2x melee was op i had 2 knights and respeced only one and you made the right call as 2 hits are not the problem the movement is

he has access to multi hitting where the hoplite doesnt, but if damage ends up being an issue, i can add in blade master or bare knuckle into the kit, all feedback is appreciated.

if you already have them in your campaign, i think if you download the additional console command mod (i cant remember exact name), but it gives a rebuild soldier command that will refresh things and i believe that updates trees mid campaign.
