Description

The knight uses his sword and shield to control and conquer the battlefield.

Squaddie:
Formidable: +2 Ablative, and 50% damage reduction against explosives
Knights Charge: Charge an enemy with your shield disorienting them, Costs 1 Action and can be used with dashes.
Crusader Strike: Strike an adjacent enemy with your sword.
Guard: Activate to guard the next incoming attack, reducing its effectiveness. can be used multiple times to reduce multiple attacks effectiveness. can be used with move only actions. When carrying a ballistic shield, automatically happens at end of turn if you did not attack.
Intercept: Melee style overwatch.

LCPL:
Shield Stability: Bonus Aim and Crit based off shield tier.
Aegis: One for all and Shield wall reduce incoming damage by 33% and redirect attacks near allies towards you.
Sling Blade: Throw your melee weapon as a ranged option on cooldown.
XCOM Tier 1 Perk: 10 AP

CPL:
Adrenaline: Each kill grants you 1 Ablative, maximum of 5 per mission.
MZEngarde: Make bladestorm attacks with your shield while shield wall is up.
Tank: Gain additional armour based on equipped armour.
XCOM Tier 1 Perk: 10 AP

SGT:
Whirlwind: Gain a movement action after striking with a melee weapon.
Protect and Serve: Gain a non-movement action after shield walling.
Shield Trauma: Upgrades knights charge to stun for 1 action.
XCOM Tier 2 Perk: 20 AP

SSGT:
Concussive Blows: Melee crits disorient. Critical hits against disoriented enemies stuns. melee attacks against stunned enemies deals bonus damage. +10% melee crit.
Snake Blood: +20 Dodge and Immunity to Poison
Jingoistic: Gain a grenade slot and heavy weapon slot.
XCOM Tier 2 Perk: 20 AP

TSGT:
Fearsome: When you get a critical hit, your target and other enemies within 6 tiles have a chance to panic.
Galvanised Armour: +1 armour, the last 1 armour cannot be shredder. Reduces the effectiveness of enemy shred by 1.
Steadfast: Grants immunity to mental impairments like stuns, mind control, panic, and disorient.
XCOM Tier 3 Perk: 30 AP

GSGT:
Coup De Grace: Bonus Aim, Damage, and Crit with your sword against disoriented or stunned enemies.
Crusaders Rage: Gain increasing damage based on missing health, Reduce wound timers by 8 HP
Rocketeer: Your equipped heavy weapon gets +1 charges.
XCOM Tier 3 Perk: 30 AP

MSGT:
Heavy Hitter: +2 Damage to all attacks.
Rampart: reduces damage taken by you and allies within 1 tile by 50%. 5 Turn cooldown. does not cost an action
Power Crush: Strike target with a crushing attack. deals damage and inflicts significant rupture.
XCOM Tier 4 Perk: 40 AP

Is there anything to be done about the animation for shield bash not playing? Author mentioned its probably True Primary Secondaries so would swapping to another mod make this work? Thanks for any advice

I'm actually listing every perks from base game and mods I have to create the XCOM abilities decks for classes that don't have one. When I was listing your knight perks, I think that I found two problems in your XComClassData.ini :
- In the "Tier1_XComAbilities" deck, you put two times "ShadowOps_ExtraMunitions".
- In the "Tier2_XComAbilities" deck, at the line "(AbilityName="MZLongRangeDefense")), \\", you should have only one ")". actually, the next 5 lines are ignored.

Thanks for the help, mod jam was in fact what I was missing. Was able to install it mid campaign and everything was fixed :)

I think you need Mod Jam to turn squad upgrades for ballistic shields into single built weapons, or change the config file of this mod to use Templar shields instead.

best to double check all required mods, maybe unsub/resub to them, then check if any other mods you have mess with it

I'm sure you may not know the answer since its technically not your mod, but I can not get access to the higher tier ballistic shields, I can only get the mk1. Makes it a little harder to enjoy playing shield classes like the knight in LWOTC. Would you know the fix for this?

its just the animations from i think true primary secondaries + ballistic shields, their isnt a proper shield bash animation with sword + board.. not something i can fix... Purely an animation thing

I'm having a weird issue where when I use knights change he just stabs the guy with his sword instead of doing a shield bash.
