@yolopug6 unfortunately this is something I had to change as the original medkit-like animations were causing the camera to rotate on certain servers. if I ever find out how to fix it I'll definitely bring it back though

A issue popped up with mine as now it doesn't hold the book like it should as it as for some reason keeps using the normal defib hold style

If possible, you should add a small chance that instead of beating them they just start reading, THEN stomp them.

v1.5 now fixes the camera rotating on most dedicated servers by just putting it on the vanilla defibrillator animations. it definitely doesn't look as good as it used to, but if nothing else, it matches the third-person position better. sorry about the wait on that! i was trying to find a way to reliably reproduce the bug and figure out the best way to solve it. i got back into l4d2 recently and finally got around to fixing it as best I could.

Just dispelling a common rumor real quick, CPR will almost never resuscitate anyone. CPR just helps do the job of the heart externally by moving blood around the body, which can extend the time you have to save someone. Enjoy the new info!

@LonNaPagchine unfortunately this is an issue i can't seem to replicate, it most likely has to do with server modding rules. i'm aware on *how* it happens, but it has yet to happen with this mod on my end.

Please fix the viewing angle error. When the defibrillator is on, the viewpoint is bent 90 degrees.

@Komarske this happens when the animations the viewmodel is looking for don't match up with the model itself, or are outright missing. if you were playing on a public server, it may have had certain restrictions enabled that would cause this issue, since you don't have any conflicts

i was playing as Louis and once i got my hands in one of these my camera started to rotate clockwise, no idea what that was since i have no conflicts with this mod
