Good work!
Color code:
So if I remove the text from the sticky notes and write the color (eg 'Red') to it, then it will be more hint that this color is somehow important?
Grid:
If to the soling mask I replace the X to the order number: 1., 2. , 3. and 4. will help?
Finalé:
You are right. I feel the same, that it would be great to leave the players for the dinner ;) I will try to add something what players need to do together in the middle room before finish.
The number grid puzzle - one gets the grid of numbers and the other gets the coordinates. I did not see anything indicating the order in which the numbers are input. We assumed the numbers go from Left->Right and we were confused why it wasn't working. We tried mirroring it and rotating it but then it turned out it was a Top->Bottom ordering. There are multiple ways to show this whether that be make the grid directional with arrows or give each coordinate a letter to indicate position but something extra to hint would really help here.
Finally - and this is really important - I think the cutest part is the ending. It ends a little too quickly after solving the final puzzle. I would like the ending to force you to go in and have your dinner date so that you don't miss this beautiful detail!
They were the only specific pieces of feedback I have. You have great ideas and I hope you continue to improve in future rooms you create.
Hey I played this yesterday. I liked it, it has a lot of really good ideas but it does lack polish. I'd like to give a little bit of constructive feedback, this will contain spoilers for anyone who has not done the puzzle.
I wanted to write a longer piece of feedback but character limit is not allowing me so this is cut into 2 parts!
The colour puzzle - looking at the other comments it seems many have had issue with this puzzle! This is a nice idea but the person who has the post-it notes needs a better clue that the colours of these notes are important. I don't know what is technically possible but if you can change what is written on the notes to say something which hints about colours being important that would be an idea? Or if that is not possible then some other clue elsewhere in the room?
@PeyPal: about the boardgame
It's the color code. There is a color code in the white room (in a very obvious place - check the walkthrough if "obvious" didnt help) and red room player should use this code in the colored buttons. It will give two hint what the white room player can use: one of it is the boardgame
What painting? The one what you can turnd and strange symbol behind it? You should talk about with your friend in the other room. He has the other half of this clue. You should merge your "strange symbol" and it will be a 4 digit number.
Other half of the strange symbol:
In the white room, there is a computer screen with a boardgame puzzle: redroom player has the hint for the boardgame, so when whiteroom player solve it, the monitor will show the other half of the strange symbols.
You could add two more objects in to some of the already created locked storage you have in the white room. Then in the red room, have the hint hidden that shows the correct order. But, instead of it just being an image/photo of the correct order, you can have a piece of paper with a puzzle or riddle that once deciphered, reveals the correct order of the items. This will add one more puzzle to your room, extending the playing time without having to create more keys or storage.
I hope that all makes sense.
Adding a mini refrigerator next to the colored buttons might be TOO much of a hint. My suggestion is possibly making the post-it notes a more vibrant color and add those vibrant colors to the the colored buttons. Right now, they are a pastel color which kind of just blends in with the refrigerator and doesn't really stand out as something important in the room.
Color code:
I can add a small/game refrigerator, next to the color coded buttons. Is it enough or too much?
White room final lock:
If I add two more items/key (and the hint in the red room show the correct order) is it more fun? Bc I thought if the order is shown on the hint in the other room, it's not too much fun more. I dont want to create more locked storage, so I should put the new keys one of the current storages.
Your feedback is very valuable for improve this room.
What you found is the HALF of the numbers. Your freind (in the other room) should find the other half. And then you should combine it.
General hint:
If you find anything, you should share it with your friend in the other room.
