Just in case anyone was curious or interested in playing this mod, version 1-23 of the old community patch dll seems to function. I don't know about full functionality, as I didn't play the mod when it was still being updated, but I haven't experienced any crashes at least.

I guess Vicevirtuoso is already gone. He is deserted from Civ V. For that, his mod is of no more further use to us anymore and is no longer playable in Civ V anymore.

Tried to use this mod, as soon as it tries to spawn a magical girl, the game crashes to desktop... This mod is pretty much dead unless somebody else wants to take over this mod...

as of the last time i tried using this mod, id give it a 50-60% compatibility rate. It worked... sorta. there were definitly things that were screwed, broken, and otherwise bugged. it was largely functional, with most breaks being in the non critical interface. (at least for me)
so at own risk.

Yeah, the project was more ambitious than I expected it to be. I should have been prepared to make this require its own DLL -- compatibility with other mods be damned. And I should have been ready to spend several months learning how to do my own art, because begging others for art is not exactly a good way to get things done.

vice what version of CBP was this mod fully compatible with since that has been breaking things with the new updates. i want to know wich version of CBP worked with this mod since the last time you updated it (since i cant get myself to play civ V without this mod its just too good) :noire::blanc::nepnep::vert:

I can get this mod working fine the only problem I am haveing is later in the game the information for empire wide mood and greif seeds gets pushed of the screen by the vanila( and Neptunia mods shares) information

Yeah, while I've been lacking in the desire to update a lot of my V mods, it's nothing short of lazy and inexcusable of me to at least not respond to comments. I'm going to try to rectify this.

But yes, this particular version of the mod is dead. Doing what I wanted done in this mod without my own DLL to handle things was a client-crash nightmare. This was further compounded by having to test the mod with every update to the CP DLL (which was oftentimes multiple times per week during my work on this mod -- how did Gazebo manage to live 72-hour days?). Furthermore, I didn't have the artistic capabilities to handle everything this mod still needed done regarding 3D and 2D art assets.

This mod is (unfortunatly) dead, and for all intents and purposes, unsupported. It would seem the same holds true for all of Vice's Civ V mods, if the lack of response on other mods is any indication.
I would assume this mod still requires the CBP DLL, although I myself have had only marginal success in getting this mod to work since declare dead. I will have to second Vice's statement and suggest not using this mod.
Saddening, but that is the way it is.

Just downloaded the mod, but I can't figure out how to activate it. It says that it's enabled, but I'm not getting any of the series characters to show up when I try to select what civilization I'll be playing as. Can someone help me please?

I wish I could get this working now, I missed this mod. My main issue is that the Socialize and Spar commands do not work for me, and the AI rarely wants to do so, so my leader MG keeps dying from despair.

BTW Vice, did you ever do another LP with Speedball? I've not been on the LP subforum in forever.

Thats saddening to hear :Nepgear:. I really liked some of the changes this mod makes. But it is what it is. I wish i was more tech savvy so i could work on these kinda things, but I took one look at the SDK and was pure "screw it, im out." Still, damn shame. This mod, the Hypernep civs and the IHC for Civ BE are a couple of my favorites in the series. either way, you do good work mate.

As you probably have surmised, I am not, and will officially declare that I have ceased working on it permanently. The art help I needed never came. Furthermore, there's a lot of spaghetti code that I'd probably have to tear down and rewrite. These two issues ultimately caused my interest in the project to wane. Well, that and the nightmare of making it compatible with stuff like CBP.

I wouldn't recommend using this mod with the CBP (or at all anymore lol) . CBP changes way too much stuff and it's been ages since this mod was updated.

I made a new game with "Madoka Magica: Wish for the World [BNW]", "CP" and "Madoka Magica Soundtrack (No Stupid Subtitles Edition) (v 6)" mods. I played as Demon Homura with all the other magical girls (except Kyoko, I forget her) without city states, and I found these problems:

-At the beginning of the game if I click the button production the game closes, but accessing directly to the production of the city worked, at some point in the game the button run normally.

-After making statements of friendship, the magical girls make many erroneous conversations like ask a favor for the World Congress with the exchange of technological research.

-And the biggest problem is that after saving the game and resume the next day the game always closes when it finishes loading and it happens with all the files saved in this game, even with the autosaves.

Newest CBP is breaking all sorts of my mods according to my reports; I'm willing to chalk it up to a problem introduced in its beta since my mods worked with it previously. Try using the latest non-beta version of CBP instead.

I downloaded this mod and threw in the new CBP; there's a button named MOODTIP which I'm assuming is where the mood of the magical girl and factors affecting it are located. But if I try hitting the button it does absolutely nothing. Even stranger, it pops up on other units as well.

I had planned on it originally, and there are even some bits for her you can find in the text files if you look. But I honestly doubt I'll actually go through with making her, because nobody really cares about this show's spinoff manga.

I know that this will probably low priority for you and that you have plenty of other things to be working on with this mod, but have you considered adding Jeanne d'Arc's France from Tart Magica to this mod? The city list could be the same as the France civilization already in the game and could even be intended to replace France (I don't mean necessarily removing France as a playable civilization, just that vanilla France and Tart Magica France aren't meant to be in the same game together). I'm a fan of Tart Magica and of Jeanne d'Arc in general so I was hoping that she would be added at some point.

Witches are getting a pretty major overhaul when I next update this, so, in a sense, MGs will get a bonus against them.

To satisfy combat needs, if there aren't enough Witches/Familiars to go around, consider harassing a city-state? As long as you don't actually capture said city-state, the warmonger penalty isn't too harsh.

I'd definitely hesitate to call this a total conversion; that requires all of the graphics, existing text, etc. to be replaced. And, well, I've procrastinated on working on this for a long, long time, so I'm not too far removed from those who gave up.

Could you consider giving magical girls an innate bonus against hostile units? It just feels very weird to me when some schmuck with a bow can fight witches more safely than a magical girl can.

2/13 community patch has a fix for custom civs in the notes, so apparently it was on its end. There was some similar issue I had with Plutia in which she'd crash with a certain version of CBP, but the next update to CBP itself fixed it.

Oh, if it's a problem with the patch I don't mind downgrading it to the version of it you used when you last updated WftW. I only use it for this mod really, so if you have a link to the version you used, that would be great.

Try deleting the mod from your mods folder and remain subscribed to it on the workshop; the latest version will download.

Try using Steam Workshop Downloader if the mega link doesn't work.
As far as crashes go, Community Patch has has many updates since I last updated this mod and I'm not sure how stable it is anymore. I would have to test it, but I have sworn to not work on this mod until I can devote 100% of my free time to it (probably sometime in June).

I really love this mod, but I've been having problems where the game will consistently CTD on turn 270-280 in marathon on Prince difficulty, during one of the AIs turns. I recall that a while ago there were issues with the AI building the improvement that lets Magical Girls write home, and the AI do tend to get that around the time that I'm having the CTD.

I know that on its own, that's not very helpful. I just did a clean install of Civ and was going to play through on marathon with only this mod, the soundtrack mod, and the required DLL, but Steam is giving me issues re-installing this mod, and the alternative download link that you posted here no longer works.

So I decided to try out your mod, it looks pretty awesome from the comments and description, but I've ran into a weird issue:

Firstly, I'm only running the Community Patch, Wish for the World and the Soundtrack Mod. When I create a game, everything seems to be working fine, except when I settle my first city the nameplate for the city doesn't appear. I managed to get to my capitals city screen (via the city list using the notication thingie in the top left corner than normally is just science), but all the buttons in there simply do nothing. The science notification doesn't appear either, however I can select a tech to research manually.

The magical girl did spawn when I settled. And if I pass the turn without settling, everyone takes their turn as usual.

put dow the game for a long time, just picked it back up a couple days ago and remembered i had my previously mentioned problem. I did what you suggested and removed all UnitPanel.lua files other than yours, including ones in inactive mods. the magical girls unit panel still does not show however. I'm kinda stumped as of what to do. Any other suggestions?
