Hey! Not a mod update, just an FYI to anyone interested.

CrackaJack is building a new terminator mod, pretty awesome looking art.

I might add that later; the issue is that some of that is hard coded into Android Tiers, and so I'd need to overwrite that, which I don't really want to do.

One option is my TX4 - Human Bodies mod; it adds a new version of the TX4 that should work with dubs hygiene, among other things.

Hi, this might sound strange, but would it be possible for them to have a need for hygiene when run alongside "Dubs Bad Hygiene"? That mod also seems to have options to allow such a thing, but I couldn't get it to work.

They use android med packs, so nanokits; if you don't have the right type of nanokit, it'll say missing materials.

Having some trouble replacing parts in a TX5 I got today. Not sure if it's a mod conflict or what. They're missing a leg but a replacement human leg won't work, nor will the bionics that you can make with Android Tiers. Similarly, I can replace a broken nose with a replacement human nose... but the treatment never works, citing missing materials forever.

The TX androids are hardcoded into Android Tiers, and the strange crash event is hardcoded as the T5 pawnkind; whithout extending their code, which I don't want to spend time on, the only way I could find to get the TX5 to both spawn in the event and function correctly with the skymind stuff, was to replace the race def.

If you're having trouble dressing them; the Android Tiers options for T5s work on them. They have an option for allowing T5s to wear clothes.

Would be great if it add(not replace T5) android with stats like T5 but which can wear clothes and being upgraded with human-installable implants

Wouldn't it be better to randomly choose the race for the event (between T5 and TX5) and have both be available? Also, if you had a T5 before, it would remain a T5 and not become a TX5 after installing this mod.

The way I made this work originally was by making a new TX5 race that I replaced the T5 in the T5 Colonist pawnkind, so it was always impossible to spawn one of the original T5s with this.

The problem with doing it that way is that I was accidentally bypassing a lot of the android tiers code, which resulted in TX5s not getting the options to use the skills and batteries or whatnot.

Replacing the T5 race directly with TX5, fixes that.

Do you mean that no regular T5 could spawn anymore? That would go against the expansion part, though. Or do you mean that a TX5 will be functionally identical to the regular one?

There's some problems with this version, so I'm updating it in a bit to be a complete replacer of the T5.

I'm leaving the old TX5 in there to avoid breaking things for old TX5s, but any new ones you get should get all the same bells and whistles that the T5 normally would.

There seems to be an issue when a TX5 slave is trying to hang out (interaction added by the psychology mod) with another pawn.

this is a really neat idea, the fact they look like humans with literal blue blood makes them perfect candidates to use the god emperor meme and make them lead a bunch of tribals that dont know better

canon wise tx5 could be pretty much the same, and it makes sense for them not to look like a fridge imo. they can still hate "biological" humans the same, cause they see themselves as the next level

Thinking more, multiple kinds would be a little incongruous; especially with the fact that T5s are supposed to be bigots. Can't really see the big boxy ones hanging out with the human ones, or vice versa.

And yeah, Textures would be awesome!

@CrackaJack, it replaces the T5 in the strange crash event. That's hardcoded as the T5 pawnkind in Android Tiers, so I overwrite that to be the TX5 instead. If I have time, I might see if I can override the method with a harmony patch to accept multiple pawnkinds.

@FG_Remastered, that makes sense. If I have time, I'll look into it; I don't actually know how to add that. aRandomKiwi didn't add any assemblies, so it looks like there's probably a flag in the pawnkind or alien race defs that I'm missing. I don't know what that might be though, since I basically just copy pasted those from the tx4 and adjusted the stats to match the t5.

Also, I found a bug: You can't use the direct upload feature for androids or the skill servers with them.

@CrackaJack There is no TX5 in the base mod? Or do you mean the T5?
@Netzach Sloth This is a great mod! In my headcanon, the TX5 would be like the liquid metal Terminators. Do you think there is any way to implement that?

hehe^^ i like it, a tx5 could totally be built so well that its visually indistiguishable from a human, with the only proof beeing the blue blood. think its completely rationalizeable. btw, does this replace the tx5?

It actually just uses the default pawn textures; I was gonna reuse your TX4 textures, but then I rationalized it away, as below, so that I wouldn't have to figure out how the progressive texture changes work.

Nope, no new textures, and it doesn't reveal a skeleton like the others. This is basically just a humanoid T5, that can be male or female.

Rationalizing it; the T5's are arrogant supremacists, I don't think they'd make bodies for themselves that get ugly when damaged. In reality; I'm just lazy and didn't feel like patching the C# code responsible for the skeletons.

It still has the android wounded textures, so greyish blue wounds, like the TX4 and T4 instead of red blood, like humans.
