This ship has an astounding level of detail. I just recently got into this game and seeing these awesome creations is just jaw dropping. Love your creations and lore for your ships. :steamhappy:

@commche Thanks!

The signage started when we had the Operation Starwatch competition https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2459532931

I wanted to put in some Blade Runner homage (note the 44 on the police ship). So in this line of thought I wanted scan lines for my screens. While I was working on one of the screens I screwed up the <line-height> tag by giving it an extra digit or something. It pushed the signage off the screen, which surprised me. So I thought I could use that for a "feature".

When I built this ship, I wanted to do the same but make the UI feel more sci-fi. I spent a ton of tim e trying to get all that straight. I am not a coder and I am sure my code is not efficient at all. But I think it came out well enough :)

Your use of digital signage is nothing shot of genius in this ship. How the hell did you figure that out! I know HTML plays a part, but wow, I wish I knew more about how do to this!

Hey Enderplayer2001 The starter block was actually removed and then re-implemented into the ship. This way it would float when spawned.

I have been working on a dry dock that has gravity within the construction area. If a starter block is not implemented, the ship falls down in space while inside the dry dock. Simplest solution for me was to include the starting block inside the build.

If you want to remove the starting block, it is located behind the left sliding access panel in the hallway (if you are facing the front of the ship). There are only two hallway access panels so it should be easy enough to find. (located in the high greeble area of the hallway towards the back of the ship).

you didn't remove the starter block so the ship has no gravity and floats above the ground

So perf-wise it is also a very interesting ship.
Yes it make the game lags a bit, I need to optimize the collision engine, I will use this ship to do so.
Rendering was somewhat okay except for shadow as it is always the case on ship with many bricks (I also need to do something about that)

This is ship is absolutely truly fantastique.
Interior in on another level. Each room as its own very distinctive feel and so much personality...
Favs are the storage bay, the service one, the cockpit with of course those seats, the cultivation room with the pods and the trolley, the medbay, the holomap table, well pretty much everything except for the toilet seat ^^.
Absolute masterpiece mate...

Man, the good captain's got a stomach on him. Double cheeseburger on the table AND a pizza in the oven?

Absolutely one of the best I've seen. The interior is astoundingly beautifully and meticulously designed. I love the attention to detail, right down to blinking LEDs. LOVE this ship! Its parked on the VIP pad at my WIP mega-shipyard!

Please clean the toilet seat before uploading next time

As someone who's spent 10 years building in StarMade. Something of this level of detail and quality is genuinely pretty intimidating to find. Definitely a build that I'm setting as a benchmark challenge for myself as I figure out this game.

As for performance, 1070ti 60FPS locked. Genuinely not sure if there's a cap unlock in the settings yet lol.

Also you're totally holding out on us with prefabs. :P

Thanks for addressing the light issue. I haven't had a seizure since I was on a certain medication back in high school, but it's not the sort of thing I'd want to risk for no good reason, and even someone without such history would probably agree that the bright flashing light was a little intense, so I appreciate the update.
kynamats 4 Feb, 2022 @ 6:56am
Just amazing, everything is so cohesive and natural!! I'll be stealing getting inspiration from this for a good while!
Wolfe Beckhaver  [author] 4 Feb, 2022 @ 5:48am
Thank you Kad. I was concerned about that as well, talked to a couple friends about it and they agreed. I did some research on seizures determined that significantly lowering the brightness of the blinking should be enough.

Thanks Tiki. Hope it can inspire as the communities builds inspire me.

Lol, thanks Uncle Ulty, you are too funny

I love the use of interior space, so many great details, feels cozy and the sort of place you could just live in!

If I could suggest any improvement, maybe slow down the blinking of the lights in the server room. As it is, it almost feels like a seizure hazard.

I gotta take notes, this stuff is great!
