@Homeless, actually the trinkets got reworked. The implementation isn’t perfect but you can give them to yourself through the command in the workshop description. The new broken key doesn’t buff his stun chance

This rework has a slight flaw. It make the Crystalline trinket far less powerful since there is no stun.

I kinda did a scuffed edit to incorporate these trinkets with trinket separator / trinket plus. But it worked out in the end

Hey Mr.Pepper. If you don't mind me asking, will you update this mod using the new trinket separator? This is by far my favorite abom Rework, but because of the clunky implementation of the trinkets I have been using your old version of the Abom rework

@Comrade Guin They are duped variants of the real trinkets, so you should still have the normal one spawn. I will admit that the implementation of the trinkets is rather clunky, but it was the only way before those two mods. They should be able to spawn normally, but if it's not the case, use the command line. I apologize for the inconvenience

This mod comes with new trinkets that you should probably give yourself through console. It is not balanced around vanilla trinkets (for example there is no stun anymore). Anyway I don't see a reason for the old restraining padlock to not work anymore, maybe try to put the rework at the top ? The new Broken Key should be a better option regarless

Is "Restraining Padlock" reducing the stress inflicted for anyone? Regardless if my Abomination is holding the trinket, they still inflict a flat +6 stress on transform and flat +5 stress on shriek.

If it's not replicable for others I wouldn't know what the issue could be as I don't run other Abomination tinkering mods, so it'd probably be a hierarchy issue of some kind.

@Lukyn, The Ponižovatel, the issue is now fixed. Basically the console command gave you DLC trinkets but without the DLC to support them it would result in a crash. Just not giving yourself those 3 trinkets would have removed that issue. But I patched the mod so that even without the DLC you can use them.

Only thing is that there will be 1 blue string if you don't have the CoM DLC on the very rare trinket, but it causes no gameplay impact.

I didn't buy crimson court nor CoM DLC. I have enabled trinkets in launch options, but it didn't change anything.

Okay did you give yourself the trinkets without enabling courtyard and/or CoM ? I think I have found the issue and I will try to fix it as soon as I can (it should be done tomorrow)

cool mod, however when I have this installed and I click on my trinket stash, the game crashes. No other odf your mods does that and even the previous abom rework works perfectly, thoguh i prefer this one. Any idea what can cause those crahes?

While I like the idea, since yes broken key manacle spam is really boring. And also makes it nearly impossible to make beast form viable in comparison.

I feel this slightly misses the mark just on the fact you can't change back manually, As this effectively locks him out of Farmstead. Since he either has to remain in human form most of the time or take a ton of stress.

But I do like the rework overall.

@NeonNobility Tooltips are generated automatically by the games. It's because it's actually a pull effect on self, otherwise human abomination would also forward 3 on use. It's not the most pretty solution but it get the point across

The goal of frenzy is only to be used when you know that you are going to have value from it. You greed on that fight and got punished for it. I don't know what to tell you apart from overconfidence is a low and insidious killer. There is plenty of use for Frenzy, like the majority of boss on turn 1, encountering a mash like quad pelagic, or just when you want stalling phase to end to limit the stress taken by abomination.

This abomination aim at making you swap between a very strong offensive class to a more utility based kit depending on fights. So yeah the goal is to maximize the use of beast but you gotta to be able to handle the stress. Every human kit will be more underwhelmind than a 165% stun with insane acc and 9 speed that comes from vanilla, but with it you also can't have reason to transform. Beast bile is still very good dmg with nice reach, especially if trinketed proprely. While a pull and guard break can see great value in ruins or cove.

Overall I like the mod. I do have a few thoughts.

The random target effect on its third ability is punishing, and often makes decision-making while transformed unsatisfying. For example, I lost a champion character to Thing from the Stars because the abomination, by chance, only targeted the crystal. This is not enjoyable. I like the focus on making beast abilities more interesting, such as removing stealth. However, I believe that the third ability needs a change to make it reliable. While transformed, it feels like rage spam. The damage output is too great to waste on mere chance, particularly with the stress penalty.

I felt like the human form was less satisfying than it was. Beast's bile and Enslave felt underwhelming. They have their uses, but I felt a push to transform. I think a slight improvement to the human form would help.

I plan on using this in future runs. I hope there is tweaking, as I much prefer this to "broken key" gaming. Thanks for your support of the community!

I mean currenlty the dmg buff is for any rank, rank 2 included. Else for the rule type of ranking its "in_rank", for further help I recommend you check the official DD discord

I recently found your other character re-balances, and love them! One question I have is around the trinket dupes you talk about. I can't find the launch option area that I need to copy/paste the string into. Is this buried in the game folders?
