Veel plezier met gamen en als je vragen hebt, laat maar weten!
By the way, I also like to use this patch, you can put it on top of Extended Battle Duration, it helps with building more ranged units :)
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2816395209
The only two conditions are that you load "Extended Battle Duration" on top of "Total Rebalance: Rome Rerostered III" and "the 120 AD / midgame map" on top of "270 BC map".
For example, you can do the order as follows:
- 120 AD mod / midgame map*
- 270 BC Map
- Extended Battle Duration
- Rome Rerostered III
I hope this helps answering your question, let me know if you have any other questions or comments.
"Fijne dag" @Goededag!
what is the load order?
- Increased Armor (+3) Defense on Auxiliary Swordsmen
- Increased Defense Skill (+3) on Early Legion Cohort
- Increased Shield (+3) Defense on Illyrian Hoplites
- Roman Julii can now recruit 'Jager Warband' from a Level 2 Trader
- Roman Brutii and Thrace can recruit 'Illyrian Hoplites' from a Level 2 Port
- Updated the Charge values for all units, so they display correctly now
- Increased Charge on all units (some units might not display the correct charge if their primary weapon is a javelin / pilum )
- Decreased Pikemen Unit size to 160 (instead of 240, Levy Pikemen excepted)
- Slighlty increased Pikemen Attack
- All General Cavalry now have 6 hitpoints
- All General Infantry now have at least 5 hit points
- Some General Cavalry units have slightly increased attack
Made Elephants Great Again!
- Elephants are now capable of running over troops again and will hold out much longer
- General Elephants troops have slightly higher attack than their regular counterpart and will not run amok
- Decreased General Bodyguard with 1 hitpoint for some units
- Greek Trader Level 1 now makes Thracian Mercenaries recruitable, Greek Trader Level 2 now makes Illyrian Mercenaries recruitable (this used to be the other way)
Everything, now everything works fine! :))
I succesfully loaded all three possible configurations with the unit containing the model 'ALEX_phalangists'.
(Steam version of this mod)
- Rome Rerostered III
- Rome Rerostered III + Decreased Recruitment Time
- Rome Rerostered III + Extended Battle Duration
Can you try it one more time with restarting the game?
I had been updating the mod about an hour ago.
Which mods and submods are you running, in which order?
Q:\Feral\Steam\Workshop\2751251205\data\export_descr_unit.txt, at line 10552, column 24. Could not find soldier battle model "ALEX_phalangists" for unit type "mod grek mhop".
- Added new General Bodyguard unit for the Greeks called 'Strategos Hoplite', recruitable from a Level 1 Academy (Greek Cities only)
- Increased attack of Greek Swordsmen to 18
- Increased defense of Levy Swordsmen to 15
- Increased defense of Illyrian Mercenaries to 18
OK got it. Let's wait for new updates! :)
> Chariots just got better! Morale and attack have increased, now chariots are a formidable force on the battlefield!
Yes they are :)
> Regarding horse archers (poor Parthia)
Is it possible to make 2 moves to hire Parthian horse archers - the "Persian cavalry"?!
It is possible, but I think a 3 turn recruitment time for Persian Cavalry is fair
> Will you strengthen the armored elephants (general's bodyguards)?
Yes, in a future update!
Regarding horse archers (poor Parthia)
Is it possible to make 2 moves to hire Parthian horse archers - the "Persian cavalry"?!
Question about Carthage
Will you strengthen the armored elephants (general's bodyguards)?
- Increased attack for Cilician Pirates and Thracian Mercenaries from 12 to 15 (armour piercing)
- Low Tier Horse Archers Only require 2 turns to be recruited
- Chariots are now more OP than in base Rome Rerostered III
Of course I have time! I'll install your Total Rebalance mods and check. If I find good chariots in them, I will write right away!
I think you are right about the General Elephants and the Chariots, I will do some testing somewhere this week and increase the hitpoints of both (as I probably forgot to adjust them for this submod)
If you have time and want to test, can you check if the base mod Rome Rerostered 3 has better Chariots?
Carthage...
Armored Elephants (the general's guards) are weaker than a regular squad of Armored Elephants, which is bad. Carthage's infantry is just fine, my respect! The cavalry is also good.
Pontus, Seleucids.
Chariots are very weak, powerful attack, but no armor at all! Any squad of good lances (not phalanx) just destroys the chariots.
Thanks again for your feedback.
> I know that sometimes I demand too much from you :))
Only sometimes? :)
> But you are the ONLY modder who listens to the players and works fast to improve the game.
Thank you, but lack of spare time and not getting monetary compensation means it still asks a lot from me ;)
Parthia is supposed to have bad infantry, that is by game design. (ask yourself why don't Romans have phalanx units, why do Greek have bad cavalry.. even though I also balanced that out a bit by giving Romans the Prefect unit and Greek some Heavy Cavalry Bodyguard Units)
Desert Axemen do have armour piercing, that's something Spanish Mercenaries don't have.
And with Persian Infantry you have some Javelin throwers, none of that was in the vanilla game.
I think it is very nice that other Eastern factions (and Thrace) now get Cataphract Units.
How is it not interesting, it's the best cavalry unit in the game.
I am not sure if Parthia has Cataphract Archers, but will add them if they haven't got them.
I also want to buff them a little bit by making their cheapest horse archer recruitable in 2 turns (being the exception that all other cavalry requires 3 turns).. it helps mass them to compensate for their weaker infantry.
But you are the ONLY modder who listens to the players and works fast to improve the game. For which I will always be grateful to you!
(and if you manage to get to a tier 5 government building they get a Cataphract Infantry Bodyguard)
At a tier 3 academy there is also a Genitour Bodyguard which is a high tier Cavalry unit in my opinion.. but maybe they need a non-Horse Archer Cavalry unit at tier two.. I'll see..
- Increased attack on some Greek Cavalry units
- Added Genitour Bodyguard and Armoured Cavalry General Bodyguard to both Macedon and Greek Cities
- Increased amount of Spartan Hoplites in Spartan Hoplite Bodyguard from 60 to 80
Slight increase in morale for very low morale units
Now the battles have become longer, more interesting!
Decreased Morale for low tier missile troops
Increased morale for all units, so it's harder to rout them (but not impossible)
Increased attack of javelins, pila and slinger (to compensate for higher hitpoints)
Increase attack of archers (to compensate for higher hitpoints)
