The mod seems to mostly still work as intended. I still use it in my single player game.

I'll be reposting as a new mod. I don't have access to this mod's files or accounts.

Progress Announcment:
I've finished making all the changes I wanted to add to improve the ranged combat experience in many ways. However, given that I know many would rather just have this mod as it is right now updated to the current version of CE, I'll be uploading a separate mod that only includes Zevik's original vision.

The mods will be called *Archery Evolved Reborn Plus* and *Archery Evolved Reborn Classic*, respectively.

Unless something goes horribly wrong, you can expect these mods to show up sometime in the next couple of weeks. I do have my hands full looking for a new job and a new place to live or else I'd be more comfortable saying just a week.

And can i use this mod without problems until yours is finish or does this mod have still bugs?

Quick Overall Progress Announcement:

The basic stuff is mostly done. The biggest holdup (other than some personal issues) has been me just trying to learn a bit more about how blueprints work. I'm a professional coder, but I've never worked with Unreal and the blueprints style of coding is unfamiliar to me. It is a new way of thinking about code that I wanted to adapt to and feel comfortable with. Not only did I have to recreate this mod from scratch, I had to start from square one not knowing much about Unreal or how this game's code is structured. I appreciate your patience.

That being said, there will be some new features in this updated edition. Some additions include improvements to nearly all forms of ranged combat, as well as overall adjustments to the original mod to better balance it with the current version of Conan Exiles. I hope you'll enjoy it when it is finished. I am nearly there.

Hi. I believe this problem is largely solved just by having the filed cooked with the current version. I haven't run into this issue in testing.

@necro if u are modding this...can u fix the dmg problem ?...i found the issue...its the high....the higher ranger do dmg and the lower ranger dont do any dmg or very low....even when it is only 1 cm higher this effekt happen i hope u can fix it

Ok, so I have talked to Zevlik and I have received their permission to update and maintain this mod. Due to the loss of the source files, I am having to recreate it from the ground up. Progress is going well. I'm recovering from surgery, but I'm able to do things so I have time off from work to complete it. I should have it up and available for download within the next couple of days.

I also might be able to fix it without those source files? As long as I can set the crafting recipe to a new version based on the current dev kit. I can't see the inner workings of this mod but I would assume it is using its own recipes and because of that, it is missing the tags that trigger the journeys.

This is a great mod, but it is outdated and I believe I know how to fix the issue with the journeys. I understand if you've lost interest in this game, Zevik. I'd like to update this mod, or even create my own mod if I must. But if you feel like it, I'd like to request the source files so that I might continue to maintain this?

The mod is great for single players but not for a server. Because the hunter quest under J doesn't work. In single game, just turn off and finish quest and turn on again. Can you please fix the mod for the quest under J Thanks.

ya if you are doing all the journey steps , you cant run any mods except for the completing the dungeons step , pippi breaks everything also

The archery Journey from Chapter 3 does not work with this mod at the point where we have to craft flint arrows. We are running the game on german language. I think the arrows do not count for the journey.

Works for me though the only glitch I've seen is the inability to nock voidforged arrows to the bow.

I did not tested this mod after 3.0. BUT, the stock CE arrows no longer needs to be in action bar (blunted won't work from there), just activate them in inventory.

I havent updated this for 3.0 as I havent been playing. I might be checking out the 3.0 but not sure when. I'll have to see what the normal stats on arrows and bows are and if they changed anything. I currently dont have the game or any of the tools installed for modding though so I'm not sure when this will be. It looks like the mod still works there's just an issue with the blunted arrows, not sure what they have changed for that.

with this mod installed, i can't shoot blunted arrows if they are in my action-bar. It only works if they are in my inventory. Other arrows work normaly

This mod works fine in 3.0 we are using it on a server right now. If your game is crashing, check mods 1-by-1 as it's not this one causing it. Much more likely is any mod that touches the UI will be broken.

Hello, silvouplais is your mod still current? do you still continue this mod? I had to uninstall it, as well as other old mod, because of crashes with the new update.
I love your mod, there are not many that improve the quality of the archer in the game.

I'm going to test your mod because I think it's not normal that it's always the melee weapons that do the most damage and the archer is left behind, for my part I didn't use it because of its lesser damage. Is it compatible with the "Age Of Calamitous" mod? I also use this mod.

@Zevlik the title screen displas "Isles of Siptah" but is it possible to use it even in the Exiled lands? i mean you didnt changed anything only Siptah has but before i add this one i wanted to make sure that it works

@undead rufus - oh I see this is what you are looking for, blunted arrows do no damage only concussive and the damage on this bow is so low it shouldnt kill anything. I made it basically a thrall bow, not sure if you were using this one with your arrows or not.

Light Hyrkanian Bow (changed to give a blunt bow option for thralls)
Decreased damage to 1 (default 9)
Increased Concussive damage to 15 for light and 25 for heavy (default 0 and 0)

@Avaleine - I dont think there's any modifiers based on levels unless the level mod adds it. Accuracy would add damage but it shouldnt be anymore powerful than a melee weapon I think all bows and arrows combine still do less than a sword does, I'd have to look at the numbers again as it's been awhile. Meaning that at level one with same accuracy, bow, and arrow type the damage should be the same as a level 60 or even a 300 unless that 300 mod adds damage or a damage modifier somewhere.

Is there a way to adjust the damage modifiers? This is very well balanced for a level 60 cap server but our server goes up to level 300 and arrows become flying swords essentially at late game which is a bit overpowered and unfair for the melee players in the group.

@Zevlik - By "tools of assassination," I just mean the damage increases (maybe to heavy attacks or the bows themselves?) have made blunted arrows kill people long before knocking them out. Maybe adding a clone of the default bow that does 0 dmg is a possible workaround, but I usually rely on the truncheon, and the mod overall is still a massive upgrade to archery. :steamhappy:

@kovs correct all heavy attacks should be the same speed now instead of some being slower than others

@demonKingLeere blunted arrows should do no normal damage with the Light Hyrkanian Bow or very little noticeable damage. It's an option for knockout only

@gator load the stacking mod after this one and the stack sizes should be from that mod otherwise if you want stack sizes from my mod load mine after the stack size mod

@undead rufus not sure why that would be I dont think I changed the classification of the arrows but might have on accident

@stahe not sure why the arrows would cause a server to crash. Used these all the time on my server but could be something with a mod conflict

For some reason, blunted arrows seem to be tools of assassination now. Otherwise, this mod certainly makes archery more useful and enjoyable.
