Head canon is that it's a wood gasifier generator instead of steam, hence why it only runs on wood.

This mod would be perfect and I mean PERFECT if the machine also burns more than just the logs. Like my trash and other stuff you can get when you chop some trees down.

With trash I mean dirty rags and that kind of stuff. :steamhappy:

if you build it or spawn it place it in a container and then retrieve

The generator is in the inventory but then cant be placed. when dropped, it turns into a normal generator, my character goes into a endless animation of placing it and instead a regular generator appears.

I was able to buildi, but when I went to move it, (at least I think I moved it but I may have misclicked) it turned back into a normal generator

This is awesome! it's nice to have alternate power source. This will be especially useful for a 10 years or later play through for more realism.

how does the spawning work if i am adding it to a on going single player world will it spawn in areas i have not explored? will it entirely replace the spawn of vannila generators or half it?

i have this one and the adition of making it work with zombie bodies, when i craft it the items just disapears, i took away other generator mods (visible when you carrying it, and power timer) and tried again, still the same, items just disapears

I agree with gantradies on the topic of being able to plumb the generator. I mean, even when steam generators were first invented it didn't take too long for people to figure out how to get water to it automatically through various primitive methods so why can't people in 1993 figure it out? Shoot, we can plumb other applicances with water after the grid goes out so would make a lot of sense. Not to mention the actual fuel is the logs and those are pretty tedious to fill it with on their own without factoring in water so would be a QOL improvment for later game players that can plumb stuff too.

Just my personal thoughts on that front

Has anyone tried using this with Immersive Solar Arrays? Specifically, the capability to automatically start and stop a generator when the battery bank is insufficient

The generator can be interacted with but is invisible on the ground. I've tested it both on SP and MP with only this mod. I've tried placing it by several ways, gave it fuel and water, turned it on, restarted, nothing makes it visible.

Some reason im having an issue where i craft the generator but when i drop it on the ground it reverts back to a normal generator. :o
