i think you should have two versions for it (;
GERUNIMO  [author] 13 Mar @ 8:11pm
Dbroussa, hello.
I'm on the fence about it. Part of me ofcourse wants to, but the other part of me thinks I worked hard on the original design and doesn't want that work to be null and void.
We'll see...
Dbroussa 13 Mar @ 6:13pm
Will this be redone for the new update?
Slippery 9 Jan @ 10:45pm
thank you!
GERUNIMO  [author] 7 Jan @ 5:25pm
Slippery, either use a LARGE dock, a modified one, or create a mission and spawn it where ever you would like.
Hope that helps!
Slippery 6 Jan @ 10:16pm
hey it says its too big for docks what then?
i thinkl bro loikes planmes

no problem! and one more suggestion, the dragonfly evolution 32 would be amazing to see, there are also rarely any trimarans on stormworks.
GERUNIMO  [author] 27 Dec, 2024 @ 10:50am
AustrianOfficer, thanks for the ideas!
They are very fancy sailboats, I'll throw them on "The Pile" ;)
Austrian 26 Dec, 2024 @ 8:23pm
if you do come around and want to work on another sailing yacht i would recommend the 2006 oyster 56, or if your unable to do that i'd reccomend the 2006 jeanneau 54 DS as a second option.
Austrian 26 Dec, 2024 @ 8:04pm
we DO need more sailing yachts from you, PLEASE....
GERUNIMO  [author] 24 Oct, 2024 @ 11:20am
Willows, thanks for the nice comment!
I need to release the fix(s) for this one first! ;)
Willows 24 Oct, 2024 @ 8:19am
We need more sailboats from you!
GERUNIMO  [author] 8 Jul, 2024 @ 10:36am
EarthQuakerD3, at the very front of the bow, by the windlass.
Hope that helps!
EarthQuakerD3 8 Jul, 2024 @ 12:14am
where is the button for the anchor
GERUNIMO  [author] 10 Jun, 2024 @ 3:39pm
BomberEx, if the wind speed is high, let the sails out a bit (or alot). That will improve your maneuverability.
Also, you should note that this vehicle was atleast partially broken after the pressure updates, I'm am working on fixes currently.
Thanks for your interest!
BomberEx 10 Jun, 2024 @ 12:07pm
how do you control the rudder. I am using the remot with the correct frequency but it feels really weak and almost feels usless
rammed 19 Dec, 2023 @ 8:24am
I will be patient
GERUNIMO  [author] 13 Dec, 2023 @ 9:17am
Afrociaal, absolutely. Have fun!
Afrociaal 13 Dec, 2023 @ 4:29am
Hey, can i use the GARMIN controller on my build (with credits of course)
GERUNIMO  [author] 10 Dec, 2023 @ 1:07pm
rammed, I will. Work keeps me pretty busy.
rammed 9 Dec, 2023 @ 7:48pm

Thank you so much!
GERUNIMO  [author] 28 Nov, 2023 @ 6:11am
rammed, I understand completely. I'm working on fixing everything that was in some way broken. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
rammed 28 Nov, 2023 @ 4:40am
It was my favourite vehicle but I’m not mad at the updates, I’m glad that there is better physics but I really want to go sailing in it again.
rammed 27 Nov, 2023 @ 12:35am
I think the new updates broke it
GERUNIMO  [author] 10 Oct, 2023 @ 10:18am
Kthurmsafran, sounds fun! Can't wait to see it!
Kthurmsafran 10 Oct, 2023 @ 9:50am
Faster version and or just a cruising around Boat.
GERUNIMO  [author] 22 Sep, 2023 @ 1:49pm
Kthurmsafran, sure. What kind of boat?
Kthurmsafran 22 Sep, 2023 @ 11:16am
could i remove the insides and use the hull for a new boat ?
GERUNIMO  [author] 21 Sep, 2023 @ 4:02pm
shahrazadraft, you can spawn it either with a "modded workbench" or via a mission at a location of your choosing.
Hope that helps!
kraft single 21 Sep, 2023 @ 10:18am
where do i spawn it?
GERUNIMO  [author] 19 Sep, 2023 @ 10:24pm
Penn, can you be more specific please? I'd love to get you going, but I need some more information please. Which way was the wind blowing (and at what strength), which way was the boat facing relative to the wind, and did you have the sails raised?

If it helps, I do have a tutorial video available viewable via the screenshots above or the link in the description.
Penn 18 Sep, 2023 @ 7:34pm
for some reason i cant use the wind and only the motor
GERUNIMO  [author] 5 Sep, 2023 @ 12:36pm
Vale, if you have a workbench that has modified build limits or what is sometimes called a "modded workbench" you can use that, or spawn it via a mission at a location of your choosing.

Hope that helps!
Vale 5 Sep, 2023 @ 8:02am
Where can I spawn this?
GERUNIMO  [author] 28 Aug, 2023 @ 11:46am
charliedknight3121, Thanks very much for the nice comment, and I'm glad you are enjoying the sailboat!

When you say "wind vane" are you referring to the devices used for steering? There is already a heading hold device in place on the tiller. If you stop making inputs to the tiller it will hold the heading of your last input. However, it cannot compensate for strong winds acting on the sails, you'll need to let the sails out if the wind is too strong.

As for linking everything together, rather then explain it here feel free to pick apart the composite logic block, everything is labeled and you can trace which "connections" go where and why.

Hope that helps!
aneyelesspig 28 Aug, 2023 @ 9:58am
Gerunimo, is it possible to add a wind vane? Such an addition would be absolutely wonderful for long distance sailing. Still enjoying the boat, no complaints whatsoever.

Also, could you explain exactly how you got the sails to work? I know there is an engine running while the wind is beating, i can even hear it sometimes, but how did you link everything together?
Thanks in advance.
GERUNIMO  [author] 22 Aug, 2023 @ 4:39pm
bossleranthony, thank you very much for the nice comment! I'm also very glad you are enjoying it! As for a dingy, I thought about it but for lag reasons and that a dinghy would have to be of a certain size to float it wouldn't be to scale with the rest of the sailboat, so I went without.
Sorry, but I hope you understand. Happy sailing!
bossleranthony 22 Aug, 2023 @ 12:56pm
I absolutely love this sailboat, it is by far my favorite workshop creation. The only thing that would make this creation even better is if you made a dingy to tow behind it like real sailboats.
GERUNIMO  [author] 17 Aug, 2023 @ 6:45pm
Tod Potato, very glad you like it, and thanks for the nice comment!

aneyelesspig, your very welcome, happy sailing!
CornBall3D 17 Aug, 2023 @ 4:19pm
This boat is AMAZING I can get going 4-7 knots in 30 knot wind while towing a dingy behind it and it has such high attention to detail.
aneyelesspig 17 Aug, 2023 @ 7:25am
Thanks!
GERUNIMO  [author] 17 Aug, 2023 @ 6:13am
aneyelesspig, yes. Once you stop making adjustments the rudder will hold the heading of your last input. Albeit, it is just a heading; the system in place does not account for drift. Not unlike the rudimentary tiller centering systems on most small sailboats.
Hope that helps.
aneyelesspig 15 Aug, 2023 @ 2:06pm
Thank you. Is there any automatic course hold implemented?
GERUNIMO  [author] 15 Aug, 2023 @ 1:22pm
aneyelesspig, your very welcome and thanks for the nice comment! You adjust course use the remote located in the aft portion of the cockpit and select a channel you would like to use via the control panel and on the remote itself. 'A' and 'D' control the tiller and 'W' and 'S' control the throttle when the inboard engine is running.
Hope that helps!
aneyelesspig 15 Aug, 2023 @ 10:11am
Thanks for this beautiful and complex sailboat. Could you please explain how to change her course?
GERUNIMO  [author] 28 Jul, 2023 @ 1:07pm
NimitzSoldier, press the 'raise/lower' switch and turn the crank until it raises.
Note the update on the 30th of Dec. 2022.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have further trouble, happy sailing!
NimitzSoldier 28 Jul, 2023 @ 8:41am
I cant raise the mainsail and yet I really love this as its just like my sailboating at Woodruff Boy scouts of america camp... Help?
GERUNIMO  [author] 21 Jul, 2023 @ 1:54pm
Josh D., it's connected to the remote. A/D is the tiller and W/S is the throttle. Hope that helps, let me know if you have further trouble.
