@Gideon Yes, but you'll have to write that in yourself. Easy to do.
Open up the mod folder and find the decisions txt document. Each nth holding slot is a different decision so you're gonna add this a few times.
Under each decision, there's a from_potential block that specifies whether nomads and tribals are allowed to take this decision. Below these lines, just add 'ai = no'

That's all. Just 'ai = no' for each decision under from_potential.

@GoateatsGrass Ah, ok.

You might not match the conditions. This mod needs you to have a certain construction tech level equal to the nth holding you're opening up; so the fourth settlement would need Construction 4, for example. The alternative version in the mod description doesn't check for tech level so it's easier to use. They're mutually exclusive so don't be subbed to both. I prefer the other one personally.
Or maybe there are currently unused slots. You'd have to build something in them before the next one can be opened.

@GoateatsGrass In that case, you need to become feudal. Tribals can only add to their own capital.

However, if you want to, you can dive in and change the code around. Just remove the lines that say 'is_tribal = no' from the decisions file.

Hi, after testing again i can ONLY increase holdings in tribal capitals, not any feudal lands, which is my actual goal.

@GoateatsGrass Are you tribal? Tribals can only increase at their own capital.

Otherwise it sounds like you're at the mod limit and the mod hasn't been activated if you're not even seeing the option.

@capdaddy whenever i rightclick a shield, the thing doesn't appear and rightclicking a tile just shows me my realm.

@GoateatsGrass Should still work, yes. Game hasn't been updated in years.

Where is the issue you're having? If it doesn't appear in your mod list, you might be over the limit. In which case, either free up some space or send me a message and I'll link you a file to download so you can add it manually.
If it's ticked in the modlist, then you need to right-click a county title to see the option.
If that's all happening and no new slots are opening up, there's a mod conflict with something like HIP which removes vanilla barony titles.

@capdaddy does this mod still work? i wanted to test it out before i started a playthrough with it and couldn't seem to find the add new holding slots. i understand if you have abandoned this mod.

@DonJulan The tech requirement is correctly (and intentionally) scoped to only your capital. Tech spreads painfully slow, so it would take a horrendously long time to upgrade provinces if the tech was scoped to the target province.
And there are two reasons you may not be seeing a new slot open up. Either you're subscribed to the other 'no tech requirement' version which I honestly prefer, or you're not clicking off the selected province once you've grown it. New slots are very shy and won't appear while you're watching. Click away and click back and it'll be there.

@Darmok, seems we have a Beast at Tanagra. This is a major Shaka when the walls fell, on my part. Yep.

Looks like I'm making a version without the tech req. I'll post a link to it in the mod description once I'm done.

Yeah its as i thought, the disabling of the tech system by AGoT means that one can never add more holdings with this mod as everyones construction tech level is stuck at 0

@GoonManJones I was going for a more accessible cost but if you'd like it to be steeper then you're able to change it yourself by editing the decision file. It's very easy to do :)

@lontra The AI can open up new slots with prestige, yes. Whether they have the money to build something there is another matter though. It's a very slow process where the AI is concerned and I've not noticed any spam.

Wealth would make more sense, yes, but you already use wealth to build the holding itself. Buying a slot with prestige just means you don't pay double in gold, essentially.

@Augustus The coding here doesn't use any titles because it doesn't create them. It opens up the slots for more titles. Paradox did provide all their vanilla provinces with all the barony names (once Shattered World became a thing), but whether any extra modded provinces have all their names is a question best answered by those modders.

Uh I bring this up because Micro is boring and I was hoping to use this mod with ones where you cannot use Shattered World to give everyone 7 slots like the Warhammer or DnD mod. I cannot find the "Give everyone 7 slots" mod you mentioned.

@Elidurden123 I think there's already a mod out there that gives every province a fat 7 slots at presumably no cost. For this, I wanted it to feel like technological advances are actually required to build tall.

But if that's what you want, you could always combine this mod with console commands and a lot of micro.

As a suggestion would it be possible to make a "give more holding slots to every county in the duchy/kingdom/empire" option?
