Hello, sir Strudeler of the Tart Society, please rename Bogatyr («Bahatyr» actually) to Viciaź.

The Balts and Slavs are kin @Knjaz.

My previous comments here were from a long time ago, but after doing further research I found out the man on a horse symbol was already present in the land of Belarus prior to Lithuanian occupation according to sources from the time.

Oh I suppose another bonus that Ukraine might have would be loyalty bonuses when at war, or specifically when Loyalty pressure is exerted from another Civilization.

Oh most likely, I just figured Zelenskyy would be good as a current day popular option. Most leaders chosen for a lot of mods are ancient leaders, or cool obscure ones.

@ArlinRenamon

Dont you think there is a better leader to choose for Ukraine than Zelenskyy? Such as Pavlo Skoropadskyi?

Also best regards in return to you Strudeler!

Thank you kindly for the reply!

I have to imagine Ukraine would be a fairly heavy defensive Civilization. Based around careful management of favored terrains such as hills or bonuses along mountainsides.

Going off of a leader ability, I would think something giving a bonus towards Amenities would actually make sense, and bonuses towards combat strength when fighting on home territory as well.

I don't want to go too far with suggestions since I don't want to feel like I'm just babbling or bothering you. Those were just my immediate thoughts.

Dear @ArlinRenamon,

Ukraine and Ruthenia were planned as separate civilizations. I only have Ruthenia's abilities listed out though, what would you have me do for Ukraine?

Best Regards,
Strudeler Tarts

Would it be possible to make a mod based on Volodymyr Zelenskyy for Ukraine?
knjaz 3 Apr, 2022 @ 9:52pm
@Strudeler Tarts

I would probably use a modified version of the seal of Polotsk if I were to change the icon, but overall I do not think it is a very big issue. I understand you meant no harm in making it the Pahonia.

Montenegro would be something new for civ 6, as there are already mods representing muscovy, however, I think a standalone Muscovy civ would be more successful and will have an interesting playstyle.

Dear @wejktoras,

I chose the main icon to differentiate from another, modern Belarus mod. I did not intend anything perverse with the pahonia, it seemed to me that Lithuania and Belarus held a certain kinship. If you were to change it, what symbol would you use?

Oh, what sounds better in the near future: Montenegro or Muscovy?

Best Regards,
Strudeler

nice mod, odd that i never saw it on the recent mods page

overall i think it represents belarus quite well, only criticism i have is the polish-lithuanian commonwealth references in its icons despite it representing independent polotsk rather than lithuanian belarus

I looked into the Ruthenian past and determined literature and history are inseparable, that's why: Belarus is led by a werewolf, wizards and knights-of-the-round-table are the unique units, and Christmas puppets are a diasporic people's best friend.
