Great ship design but nowdays it underperform, basically to low health, shield and overall defenses. Hope you make a bit more durable, i cannot fight one on one vs a lone paranid destroyer :(

can this thing trade blows with a xenon capital ship and come out on top? basically looking for a personal capital ship where i don't have to fire "main cannons" and instead use cannons spread around the ship.

This is a really good disigne but one problem, its hull is too low for the cost and the speed. just compare it whit the raptor carrière, cost less but 2 time the hull. If u could do somthing about it would be great and really balanced. Have a great days

NOW FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH X4:FOUNDATIONS 6.0

-UPDATED COLLISION MESH FILES. Fully compatible with new Jolt engine.

Landing pads are no longer obstructed by outdated collision files.
Ship can now take proper shield and hull damage from shots that hit the main body of the ship.

I know this update took a while, thanks everyone for your patience. Please spread the word that these ships are now compatible again with people you think you might enjoy them again!

Yeah. Ship is still not working for me...Unsure of how to fix it. Cannot be built. Re-install?

I think its more for faction theme and balancing.
Terran has the best shields, so it makes sense.
Then again, i wouldnt mind if it did get more shields.

@SigmaSquadron Thanks for the heads up, I didn't realise that some of the old X3 ship names were voiced for X4. I need to update these ships for the 6.00 Beta, as Engine and Shield tags need updating, and collision meshes need reworking. (We're still waiting for info from the developers on how to generate the collision meshes properly) I'll probably include the voice over in with the 6.00 compatibility update for my ships.

@Neko Sama 6.0 is currently breaking all modded ships, both Engine and Shield tags, and collision meshes. Still waiting on an update from the developers to resolve collisions.

Hey! If you'd like to make this mod voiced, you can use the unused "Tiger" voice line in the 03.cat catalogue in the base game.

In the english voice, it's under voice-l044/20101/41201.ogg

Greatly appreciated. I downloaded the tools and extracted everything to a folder. Would like to add engines I suppose and know how to add other things. Essentially customize your great work to my liking.

@jjalison If you already have the fastest engines and the best modifications, I don't think so. Cargo in the ships freight bay can have an effect on speed and handling, though I'm not sure how noticeable it would be for XL ships. The only alternative would be to extract the files from the catalogue and edit the speed values manually. If you're willing to do that I'd be more than happy to provide instructions on which file to navigate to and which values to change. https://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=363625 You can find how to extract the files here. If you're going to do it, I would recommend extracting the files, and then unsubscribing from this mod page before you launch the game. Being subscribed to steam whilst also using the raw files can cause steam to get pretty confused. No, it only has the XL fabrication bay, and I cheated the resources in to make sure I definitely had enough. You could make a custom trade rule to block sale of ships to NPC factions and apply it to the S/M fabrication bay while you build up resources, then remove it when the Tiger is built

hmm, does that shipyard also have a wharf? i built my shipyard in a way that it also has S/M wharf so i think they keep eating up hull parts.

Hi, i was able to get it running, but is there any bug regarding constructing your own ship? I bought the blueprint from ZYA and I seem to have all the resources to build one, but it doesnt start construction.

@Toilet Paper Merchant Hi, you can install my ship mods mid way through a game, and can be deactivated safely too. If you start a new game you'll likely see NPC versions of the ships a little quicker, as some will spawn instantly on game start. Just make sure when you're deactivating a ship your player character isn't on board one, and make sure no S / M ships are docked.

The ship looks awesome!
Unfortunately I am not able to purchase one. Since over 10 ingame hours the ZYA shipyard keep telling not enough hull parts. I am delivering as much hull parts as possible but everytime I delivered enough, the shipyard tells again around 1k hull parts needed.

Anybody has this issue or knows how to solve it?

Turret shoot on their own ship is not specific to the tiger, nor to split plasma turrets. Most turrets have negative Y restriction. IIRC split plasma gun elevation is between -5 and 80. Central turrets position is a factor that makes risk greater. Obviously turrets located on the edges hull reduce auto mutilation risk. AI have no restriction to shoot itself, it is not ship s designer fault, and all turret can act like that.

Plasma on the ship's hull explodes from these turrets at the slightest angle. Plasma that flies into the station from the turrets below.

Hey! L turrets split plasma on the front of the ship hitting the texture of the ship itself. Not sure about other types of plasma. Big request to make platforms for L turrets higher, if it is possible. Tnx for this ship=)

That has fixed the engines when they move but its more than idle/ticking over constant noise on the bridge thats just too loud, anyway of lowering that?

Yeah the large engines are super loud, lol. That would be done by editing the original files, but someones already made a mod for this: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2195037805 It should affect modded ships too, because they just use vanilla engines

Split Tiger v1.2 Changelog

Altered following drag values:
Forward: 285 -> 265
Pitch, yaw, roll: 1200 -> 800
(buffed, lower is better. Tiger should have higher top speed, and be more manoeuvrable)

Increased maximum hull strength (300,000 -> 350,000)

@House of Rahl, Check again, the Asgard has 16L Turrets, 6M turrets. You're either forgetting the turrets underneath the Asgard, or you're only counting the groups in the ship loadout menu. When I say '16L Turrets' I'm referring to the actual number of models of the turrets. Also obviously one of the main batteries of the Asgard is XL, and significantly more powerful, and has over double the range (14km) vs Split main batteries (6.5km)

On a separate note, it seems the ship kept carrier AI, instead of destroyer.

It keeps distance and engages with turrets, rather than lining up batteries. Which means it puts 8L turrets and 0 batteries to work (as opposed to 16L and the op batteries the Asgard at least tries to engage with, and succeeds against slow targets/stations).


Back to the mobility comment - if taking Raptor as a basepoint, Tiger got a lot more engines and presumably was stripped of all the support infrastructure/cargo, let alone the fighter squadrons themselves, so it has all the justification for being more nimble)

Excellent design, imo much better than any other split XL mod ship out there, especially the tail.

That said, while I am aware vanilla balance is not a thing to begin with, could this thing get at least some maneuverability?

As such, it has 50% of Asgard's turn rate (while also having worse turret placements, much worse shields, much weaker low-range batteries). Split design should at least be relatively fast.
