[this part of the comment was removed. I claimed the neutral special stops momentum and shouldn't. In actuality I'm stupid and was just playing against Hornet and getting hit constantly (she's kinda busted lol). I just misremembered. My bad.]
I also never really know how many specials I can use as there are often times where I have no idea if I charged Store or not. Since Leech doesn't "hit" the opponent, I'm often left with no way to tell except by using another special. Which, y'know, uses Store. Maybe I'm missing some sort of visual/audio cue for the move connecting? I do know about the vibrating and the noise when I'm max Store, tho.
As for normals. Is nair supposed to be cancel-able into any other move just by moving the stick? I know this character is supposed to be unorthodox so I can't really tell if this is a bug or a feature. Usually when I try to use the move I accidentally cancel it into bair. So I'm not entirely sure how I'm *supposed* to use this move just yet.
Over all though, I really like this funny fella. This is exactly the type of original character I like and look for in the workshop. So thanks for making him. Definitely gonna keep playing and try to learn him more as he does seem to have some pretty good stuff in his base kit (f-tilt is insane btw it almost always hits when i throw it out) and, again, the character himself is endearing. His "personality" (whatever that implies for an expressionless, vibrating abomination) really shines through in all of his moves.
(this 3-part comment is what reminded me that Steam comments have a character limit. lol)
Maybe I'm just trying too hard to use the specials and this character is just supposed to be a lot more normal-reliant than most. Which would be fair. I still don't have the up air + jump recovery in muscle memory yet. Usually I instead try to burn my double jumps, pop up-special (which I usually don't have), and either plummet to my death or get my wall-jump off (in which case i recover about 50% of the time as again i forget about up air and just try to air dodge back to stage). I recognize this part is just a skill issue and therefore my fault, it's just an example to show how i almost never have Store available to me ever.
and now some stuff i'm quite interested in:
i like the chattering and movement of the character, and ill admit seeing his hurtbox in training mode made me chuckle (though i cannot explain why)
i think Dair is really interesting, reminiscent of master hand's down air from smash
there's something oddly appealing and intriguing about Sven's design but i cannot quite tell you what it is
i think the attack for Ustrong is really clever and interesting and clever
all in all this character has potential and i think you could do great stuff with them :)
sorry about the segmented message steam made me
first MAJOR issue is obviously Dspecial, giving the player full invincibility is extremely busted in any kind of game now ordinarily if this was similar to banjo's wonderwing with only a certain number of uses per stock i wouldn't see too much issues with this but the fact you can regain it very easily is worrying. and you are also able to just press Nspecial to recharge a third of your meter almost instantly with little punish options, and even less punishable if you take into account the fact that you are fully mobile while in hermatic mode and may lead to extremely boring scenarios for the opponents.
a smaller issue is that fspecial cannot hit orcane in idle, maybe having the rock bounce would work better?
