hey Thuynder, i did leave out any kind of cap to maintain as universal a compatibility as possible with other mods. Are the factions that have hero stacks losing ground by chance? i.e they have little to no military recruitment buildings? I usually notice this issue when the AI cannot recruit regular units easily. If you are noticing the hero stacks on large factions with good settlement comps, I can try to reduce the embed priority/chance.

Mod works as advertised! However, AI started to hero-stack in absurd capacities. Makes you realize how truly OP chaos' heroes are with 140 armor out the gate... and how absolutely trash some factions' base heroes are. Easier to kill a bret Damsel without any spells over a Man-At-Arms. Still true with 6 damsels. Lol.

Does the AI respect hero limits like the PC does? Having all these extra heroes pushed into armies makes it a liiittle much. Love the mod tho, I made a version just for me with just the -1000%. AI doesnt respect money limits anyway! (I'm looking at goldtooth with 1.4 million gold right now at turn 40...)

Seems that the hero spam with basic heroes is back as well. They'll follow you around and clump your settlements. Only difference from vanilla is that they won't spam you with abilities still.

Mostly Nurgle, i think. I'll try and keep an eye out more. Definitely NOT just legendary heroes. I'm playing Empire and noticed it mostly late in the game (playing SFO campaign).

damn, it sounds like legendaries might have a separate table i'll have to track down? i have to reimport my pack files anyway this weekend.

which factions/types?
what turn noticed?
is it happening more when meeting factions after turn 50+? 100+?
or more to long-known factions?

Yeah, they're swarming the map, following armies in packs instead of embeddinng in them. They still aren't performing actions, but they are not embedding (mostly).

Seems like it could use some sort of update: after the latest patch, I'm seeing Legendary Heroes all over the place again. They won't use actions other than Scout Ruins but yeah... they're not embedding them as much as they should.

@SavageCrow which generator key is "the other one"? I believe I took one out for compatibility purposes but i dont remember which. I would have to take a look at your mod to see why i stopped using certain keys/tables

I'm not sure how to stick Vlad and Isabella together sadly :(

Just curious as to why you used that generator key and not the other one? or both? I also wasn't sure if any factions don't apply to the main generator groups so I pretty much added all of them just to be safe. Unnecessary?

I modded mine very differently as I wanted the AI to embed but also wanted them to use their agents (and aggressively) which most you guys complain about but I personally love. Mine embed them (usually 1-3) and will actively move them in/out of armies to use them on the map as needed (assassinations = wounding instead).

Curious if you have any insights on this as well: I was hoping to get Isabella/Vlad to stay attached...even scripting over the spawn script she spawns separately and though she will embed into his army she breaks off quite quickly. The coding clearly favors posner staying in his stack and Isabella being much more independent. She does re-embed often into other stacks but outside of a custom script I can't think of how to get her to not roam.

Thanks for doing that! I did not exterminate tlaqua nor ogres but did a lot of damage to exiles of khorne so they could be dying. No other mods, game is perfect as is, only gripe is the god damn agents and so far your mod has held them at bay thus improving the game massively.

you were playing as Empire or is that a mod name?
also curious: did tlaqua, exiles, and ogres have a lot of settlements/armies or were they dying out?

i'll take a deep dive this weekend, but i will say this mod is intended to stay as compatible as possible, so i'll have to see if fixing embedding further requires more tables or dependencies.

Fresh game, no other mods, sigmar the dark - empire, turn 65, agents from tlaqua, khorne exiles, ogres. No actions, just running around

I hope this helps. Used to work much better, there were no agents roaming around, at least noticeably less

they cannot disband agents, units, armies, or even demolish buildings unfortunately. you have to kill the faction to get rid of the agents

can ai disband passive agents? if there's no army to put them in. I got to the point where an enemy faction has around 10-15 agents and 1 small army left and they all just wander around my settlements

but still, life is better with your mod, i cant tell how many times enemy heroes assasineted my own in some doomstack, and when you try to assasinate them back - 0%-30% chance of success lol

few armies are always alive, most of the time its 20 units with 0 heroes in em, its just that their heroes still go on their favorite mission called "hey lets assasinate/wound player heroes just to mess with him", but when they get close enough to action - they see their 0% chance of success and do nothing

might be kind of an inevitability tbh; can't embed with no armies. I have seen 3-5 heroes in one army before when an AI replaces a destroyed army and there's a few straggler heroes

most of the time immortal heroes lose their army and purpose in life, they just surround some settlement and wait till they faction dies, im lokhir

who is they? who were you playing? # turns you observed the agents for?

I haven't noticed many lollygaggers in my Slaanesh, dwarf, and Cathay campaigns. Sometimes the AI is waiting for there to be army space to embed. Sometimes AI would declare war and THEN agents would embed the same turn.

i did at first but then having the ai march stance in circles around me made me realize it's not worth taking my own ability away, and it can fuck with faction specific actions as well. embed those heroes and duel your enemies instead ;)

Playing as Chorfs in the Realm of Chaos I have not encountered any agent actions yet. If you're encountering them in late game RoC or Immortal Emp let me know:
