For those asking, this does conflict with Permanent Debris (why would you need that, this mod already makes the debris permanent) and conflicts with all the VFX enhancing mods. However, this does not conflict with Permanent Shells.

but i'm used to the def particles, so i'm not complaining

Very underrated mod due to title and tags. Its basically a better version of permanent particles mod by another creator. Thank you for creating this mod.

How do you install this? I heard something about the game doing it automatically now.

so apparently that was someone elses mod but yours starts fine with random words than falls into more chaotic symbols

how did you open the impacts pcf file? looking it up says any normal text editor works and notepad shows chinese with emojis mixed in and notepad++ shows random symbols

Sorry Sarnen but you're graphic glitch seems to be a local problem, the mod only change the time value of the fading for particle decal.
I use it with a tons of mod, even mix it in my own .vpk. Never add problems.
Try to reinstall the game or update your driver.
This mod works just fine

this adds a bunch of pixelated boxes to all sorts of sprites in a new game, all over the test chamber sequence. Doesn't look like its working out. Not using any other mods/workshop items.

It work well with BMPEP, I use it with manual installation (i only do manual with black mesa because workshop really seems broken for some mod), so i can manage the priority of the mods i used. To work, EPPM need to be upper than BMPEP with the files order by name in the custom directory. Just add a '!' in EPPM .vpk name to be sure.

Thank you for the mod MonoV4 ! It's a great idea. Did you intend to work on it in the future ? It would be ultimate if you just add the spark effect from the impact of the old vfx particle mod ? It always as much punch than the impact from BMPEP (and yours, except for the debris staying :p )

I use a tweak .vpk for BMPEP with the remplacement of the impact.pcf from vfx particle (so I have the best from the two mods). But with your mod, I lose the impact effect and I just want to add the change from your mod into the impact.pcf for my .vpk (I Hope my problem is clear).

Thanx again !

Very well done! The infamous Half-Life 2 Cinematic Mod had a similar particle system that behaved very much like this.

I tried it with BMPEP and it seemed to work as far as I could tell
MonoV4  [author] 23 Apr, 2022 @ 8:55am
Haven't tested it. it should.
Dr Steven 23 Apr, 2022 @ 8:17am
Does it work with the BMCE level overhauls?
Nefertari 21 Apr, 2022 @ 7:02pm
does this apply to bullet casings
Deus_nsf 20 Apr, 2022 @ 10:15am
I would also appreciate BMPEP compatibility a lot <3
MonoV4  [author] 18 Apr, 2022 @ 10:16am
I can however confirm compatibility with "particlefx by kobrax" mod. They add sparks and cool explosion effects with physics based sparks.

I will look into it. checking through all the edits he made compared to the original is a hassle. a big one. Then to merge it with mine would take a lot of time.
Kreze 18 Apr, 2022 @ 9:20am
But no, i didn't. Don't really have time right now.
Kreze 18 Apr, 2022 @ 9:20am
BMPEP replaces impacts_fx.pcf
MonoV4  [author] 18 Apr, 2022 @ 9:12am
@herrjäger. Did you test it?
Kreze 18 Apr, 2022 @ 6:23am
Compability for BMPEP would be welcome.

Yessssss.
