Little update: I've asked FS for the Wwise project so it would be way easier to work on volume modification and sound separations.
Until I get an answer, no update.

I can add a custom VFX audio setting for the reworked sounds in order to separate them with non-reworked sounds

Please make a separate audio setting, between game and specials. so can dull down ult bar, while hearing specials.

Currently I've removed custom sounds I've added previously. I'm working to make them more noticeable as they were way too quiet compared to original ones.
Then, I also have to tend the best to the way they were made originally as currently it is not possible to know how they are made by Fatshark (they use a thrid party soft called Wwise and we don't have access FS files). It's just guesses and analysing how the sound actually works ingame. So it's a lot of pain.

Thanks. So how do you plan to fix assassins that start its pounce from far away without any sound cue? I mean we can only hear them when they're close.

@Adam Blue This is mostly a behind-the-scene difference, just think like you have between 0 and 24 dB. I'll probably merge them together to make understanding easier

Hey! Via an already existing mod, it is not possible as the process to add/remove/modify sounds in the game is rather complex.
If you want to add custom sounds, you have to make your own mod :steamsad:
