Then, from what i have understood, this version isn't automated but seems to work better than the automated one. The manual and automated versions seems to be compatible, but are they complementary ? In other words, can the automation from the other mod, and the working loadout saving from this one can work together to make a perfectly automated loadout manager to avoid loosing countless minutes in the mission lobby ?
Depending answers above, and depending my gaming style, which is "lazy", Is the manual version fill my lazy playstyle ? or should i stay on the Automated version ?
As said in this version, the loadout saving seems less "clunky" than the automated version but i have read the description here and im hesitating because of questions im now asking:
I am using Long war of the chosen and i cant see "save" or "equip" loadout - am i doing something wrong?
Quick question for you, where does the path "..\Documents\my games\.." get set for the backup file'X2LoadoutManagerBackup.bin'. I ask, as I've moved my Documents folder from the C:\ drive and this is the only thing that persists writing back to that location and no respecting the relocation. I wondered if it was due to the local case 'my game's but suspect the mod or the MCM mod is writing to a literal path.
Not a big deal, just would like to fix it locally if I can.
Another question @Iridar since you are one, if not the greatest XCOM2 Modding-Expert: Is there a Mod like this to save or create Loadouts for RPGO - Commanders Choice/Starting Abilities Character Presets?
(For Example a self created "Guardian Class" with a saved StartingPerk-Combo for better Reflexfire)
World be great QoL and timesparing if you have found a good Perk/Class Combi which you could Save an Reload on another character or in another Campaign.
I decided to delete some of the save files i had accumulated (i had over 300, i figured it would make the load window go faster), the mod asked me to restore something when i restarted (i don't remember the exact dialogue), i hit yes, and game then crashed trying to load the latest save file, and then the game refused to go past the splash-screens. Uninstalling the mod didn't fix the issue.
I confirmed this was having issues by completely removing anything related to the game, and reinstalling with all the mods (391) but this one, the game started again normally. The moment i enabled this mod, the dialogue popped up again, i hit yes again, and i had to do everything all over again.
The log file is too big for pastebin, but i didn't see anything pointing at your mod in it.
Thanks, I appreciate it.

Good idea, unfortunately not easily doable.
Oh, you're right, I'm sorry, I confused this with my other mod, Automated Loadout Manager. This Loadout Manager only looks at the item name, so yeah, it won't load upgraded weapons. I might address that at some point, but it's not going to happen any time soon.
Heavy weapons should be working, I tested that extensively while I was working on this mod.
The mod works fine with upgraded weapons themselves, but if you take all upgrades out, the upgraded weapon stops existing and is merged into the infinite weapon pool, and the loadout manager will be unable to find it.
So if you play with reusable upgrades and remove upgrades from weapons all the time, the Loadout Manage won't be able to work propely, and it's not going to change, because I'll be getting rid of reusable upgrades in FOXCOM, an overhaul I'm working on.
Also, it didn’t say this in the mod description: heavy weapons don’t seem to be supported either. At least modded heavy weapons. My loadout defaults to the Rocket Launcher.

I don’t use it by itself, though. I use it with Dress For Success, which adds a GTS perk that unlocks a vest slot for all units (except SPARKs, but that can be changed in the config).

The same author also has two other mods, one that adds an ammo slot and one that adds a grenade slot.
Well time to throw Ammo and Vest slots in the recycling bin.
Ammo and Vest Slots [WOTC] is the only one I could find.
Also assuming there is such a mod, will this mod save those slots?
Ammo and Vest Slots [WOTC] is an old mod that does things in an old, bad way. It's incompatible with virtually anything that has to do with inventory slots. I highly recommend against using it for any purpose.

I'm hoping this is something I can add through the ini if I'm lucky, ty.
Weapon color is normally saved as a part of soldier's appearance, unless the weapon has upgrades or a custom nickname.
I'm having issues where the weapons equipped will reset to the default, although this may be because I'm using A Million More Colors.
I don't care about controllers, but if somebody else provides the required code I'll add it.
Is it planned? I mean I can save loadouts with my controller BUT I can't click the big green "Equip Loadout" everything else works.
I wish XCOM would allow to use mouse while in gamepad mode :/
