So your weapons are patched for CE but apparently your pawns are not and the villagers show up with NO ammunition for their guns.

Love the look of the mod, the only problem I ran into is that Heruan's are not compatible with Xeno-type gene & turn a ugly green when mixed. If you could make it were their gene are accessible for more control over there look like the Ratkin have it if you would kindly.

I've noticed that when using Combat Extended's generic ammunition setting, this faction's settlements and traders do not stock ammo.

I've found the same issue as DestyNova regarding the expedition Sentry Gun and Shrike Launcher: I'm guessing those ammo types haven't been added yet.

Found what may be a bug on the Expedition Sentry gun. Caliber is listed as Frangible sentry round, but it is noted as not patched for CE. Anybody else has this too? Sure I can use other turrets, but I wanted to do a Heruan run with as much of their gear as possible.

I just noticed that my Heruan got several unrecorded loss debuffs in a short time. I was unaware that I had any other people on my map so I investigated. Found out that 3 shamblers that had entered the map had died. This matched the unrecorded loss x3 debuff I got. It would seem that shamblers dying will give the mood debuff. I feel that shamblers already being dead should not trigger this debuff. Is this intentional or something that can be corrected?

@Armchair_Tactician - I use a very old copy of Photoshop (CS5.5). I'm not sure what you mean by animations, but if you're referring to the weapon animations and projectile effects, those are using an animation library called Eccentric Projectiles that I've been working on over the last 3 years.

@Armchair_Tactician - I use Audacity to create sound effects for all of my mods, usually by taking royalty-free sound effects and processing them myself.

This looks like an amazing mod, with a captivating lore to boot! I curious about the SFX use in your mods, like the weapon beams and projectiles for example. What programs did you used to create them?

@RubyRed - Like I said, the annoying thing is that I can't reproduce the error myself, so logically speaking the issue has to be if both mods are installed alongside a third mod that is somehow causing them to break. The error message itself doesn't make sense since the stacktrace shows a transpiler, which is a method that should only ever be run once at startup, not during regular map drawing.

I would love to fix this issue for good, but there's nothing I can do until someone helps me figure out the exact sequence of mods that triggers this error. :(

@Aelanna - Oh my god that actually fixed it! Thank you so much, I have no idea why such a thing would happen when it didn't for so long previously. I'm just glad I managed to fix it. Thanks for the help again! I would have never been able to figure it out on my own that somehow bloodanimations were to blame! Thank you!

@RubyRed - The only update to Eccentric Projectiles recently was a CE update, which did not affect the vanilla library. This also doesn't happen in any of my testbeds, which means that it is certainly a mod compatibility with someone else's update.

No one has been able to narrow down which mod is causing the issue, but maybe try removing Blood Animations and see if that causes the error to go away? This has helped for some people but not others.

I noticed that if I drop the weapons that my pawns are holding this issue seems to get resolved, but the moment I pick up ANY kind of ranged weapon, the issue comes back. The held weapons also do not get rendered when the pawns are drafted (I managed to figure out how to draft my pawns by selecting a draftable pawn first, then multi-selecting the non-draftable one)
Removing this mod seems to fix the issues mentioned but I can't afford to do that because that will remove all pawns on my map who are heruan which would be crippling for my colony.

This mod completely broke my game to the point of unusability. For some reason, out of nowhere the eccentric projectiles library started throwing exceptions when rendering almost any and all of my pawns, no matter what race they actually are making me unable to draft them or really do anything with them as no buttons show up on the UI to control them anymore.
When I load into a save game the console gets utterly littered with error logs of being "exception drawing X at cell", 'X' being basically half of the entities on the map.

Alright one more thing, maybe i'm doing something wrong, I have the recording table researched and placed down, but none of the pawns are going to it to get their memories recorded, even when you click on it and order them to do so.

Shame the new items are only 1.5, maybe someday i will play 1.5, but seeing as so many mods are not updated for 1.5, i will stay on 1.4 for now. I will still use this mod of course as i love it, just shame about the turrets is all.

Interesting, I have Complex Furniture and Microelectronics researched, but nothing, even tried the search function for research and architect menus. Wonder if a mod is blocking it.

I reinstalled the game & mods and there are yellow errors at start that said:
ThingDef Bullet/Ammo_~~~~~~ has no thingClass. This is a misconfiguration in Heruan Race.

@Fishy the Medic - I'm not sure I understand the issue, "unrecorded death" is a mood debuff that should only apply to Heruan, are you saying that it's somehow applying to other races as well?

@DestyNova - I can definitely take a look at those when I get a chance, I thought I'd copied the stats from the Eccentric Tech Rosethorn for a plasteel dagger, but I could be misremembering.

@Trainee86 - I'm not seeing any issues with NPC factions generating with ammo, which is a basic CE function that I'm not overriding in any way. Are you getting any errors and/or do you have a log available that I could look at?

I'm not getting this as a race for some reason and all my pawns are suffering from a mood debuff about unrecorded death or something. It's been overlapping my other races and giving them features I cannot get rid of

I wonder if it would be possible to give the Triune Helmet a Night vision efficiency rating like the Recon and Marine helmets have in CE. I also wonder if it would be possible to buff the heruan dagger slightly. As it is it seems to be balanced against a steel knife, but since the heruan dagger uses 30 plasteel, it should be balanced against a plasteel dagger instead. I feel that the heruan dagger being a product of an advanced space faring civilication should be better than a regular knife. To balance the better stats over a normal knife worktime could be increased or doubled to show that the heruan dagger is made to a higher standard.

@Roach - If you read a couple of comments below yours, Biotech simply doesn't have enough features to replicate Heruan without doubling or tripling the amount of custom code involved, and I have no desire to make DLC-locked mods.

@cactus angel - Heruan do not have any override settings for sexual orientation, so if you are seeing that then it's most likely being caused by another mod.

@LoboOscuro - HAR is perfectly healthy and offers an order of magnitude more functionality than the gene system does. To replicate even half of the graphical upgrades needed to make Heruan work, I would need to use newer and far less stable and tested frameworks while simultaneously putting a $25 paywall on this mod. This is unlikely to happen any time soon. :)

Ah that makes more sense. I didn't know there was a bug on the games side for something as innocuous as IDs.

I agree, for having a mod system that can do both local and workshop modders shouldn't have to wrestle with the system.

@Hannibal - It's not that this mod "only" looks for the Steam version, it's that vanilla RimWorld has had a bug in its mod resolver since 1.4 launched. Modders shouldn't have to specify both local and Steam versions of mods, but here we are. Hopefully it gets fixed on Ludeon's side soon.

ah nevermind, i found the issue. the packageID for CE between local and steam is different, i deleted the local one and everything fixed itself.

i guess this mod only looks for the steam ver
