@Wolfman Hey, I may come back to it but for now it is best to consider it abandoned--I had to uninstall the devkit for space reasons and I need a new PC. Hardware- and time-limitations aside, as far as I'm aware the pets work okay (the person below I SUSPECT didn't use the right taming food for a Feral Pup?), so it should be safe to install, tame pets, and uninstall if needed. That being said in this case you could simply admin spawn them. I'm aware that's not a great answer--it's only a workaround, and I apologize for not being able to fix it right now, but it's been so long since I played Conan or used the DevKit that I honestly can't remember how I edited spawnpoints. so it'd be a big time investment of re-learning it.

This mod is great. Is there a way to change the Koji (Playful Pup Variant D) spawn? I believe it is causing the entire bottom of Al-Merayah castle to despawn.

Oh man did they change how taming works?? I don't play Conan anymore at all but (ugh) I'll see when I can get onto the devkit to look it over, thank you.

Seems like the Mod doesnt work with the newest Update. THe taming progress for the puppies wont start.

@Athoen I assume mod changes map itself, due to editing spawn points. When map changed Kurak dungeon teleport stop working and seems like sacred hunt event also screwed (cave not accesable). It's something on Funcom side.

EDIT for ma previous message : this mods also affects the area with the sacred hunt NPCs making the master of the hunt .... well hidden beyond a rock.

Hello. Thanks for your mod, I love it but I found a side-effect : this mod affects Al-Merayah and makes the cave under it blocked and unplayable (the cave for Scraek Gore-Grin, from the Sacred Hunt event).

Updated again for Sacred Hunt, etc, Age of War Chapter 4. Hopefully it works. If not, yell at me; you can always disable it meanwhile (it will NOT delete existing tamed pets).

Was checking out mods and came across this saw how your not sure if this would work without owning the Siptah DLC. Well it works. I don't own any DLC's and found the lil puppys and the one that looks like a Hyena reskin. Going by where all the spitting Iguana's are in the jungle I didn't see any of the salamander looking things from Siptah. I haven't checked the whole map but yea Dont need the mod to have the pets. I think its only structures, weapons and attire that are tied to DLC's

Would really love to see an update for this and the regular Better Pets mod. They have ALOT of errors server-side causing a bunch of stuff to not even spawn at all. It makes this way too easy.

No worries, things sometimes take time. It looks like map edits might be a little tricky as long as they keep changing the map physically, but I can always turn the mod on and off when I need or don't need it. It works fine otherwise.

I'd like to add to @SkarySkarekrow's observation that at Mek-Kamoses' Spire there's a stone feature blocking a table - right between the merchants who take Kurak's head.

As this mod edits the map, you will likely have to update it every Age Season update.

This mod is still working in Ch1 of Age of War. However, similar to the previously mentioned bushes in Mek's area, the newly updated area south east of the Savannah has also not been updated to reflect the map changes. There's nothing of note there currently, but it'll likely cause issues in the upcoming chapters.

Mod is still working as far as i can tell since Ch.3 launched.

However, the entire area of the new Ch.3 event at Mekhamosis' (however you spell his name) is aggressively covered in fiber bushes making it somewhat difficult to see vendors and deco.
The fiber bushes were present before Ch.3. So, upon disabling this mod, the bushes disappear as Funcom cleared the ground for the new event. If you could update to the new devkit, it'd be great.

They are all new camps. They seem to effect existing ones that they're close to, somehow, being added as children to them, in some cases. I'm still trying to figure it out! Thanks though :)

can't you just add this new camp in place where there is nothing?
It work well for dog pup.
But maybe these camp areas cover so much space on the map and there isn't really any free space?
Maybe it's because your camp and the vanillia one are like fighting for the place?

Or just add them to the vanilla camp list somewhere?
I'm saying this but... it's idiot to say that, you will did it if that was possible, it's too much obvious x)


I'm playing with a single mod that edits spawns so I'm not sure how it all works, at least I haven't had any other issues
The mod is "Base_Mat_Worker" just in case, it add a new thrall job and sometime bearer are changed to "worker" with same apparence
we can find them where there is bearers at 100% chance, on vanilla spot

it's more like a swap... it's very different than your mod, i just talk about it just in case it can help you in any way or giving you ideas

To clarify (character limit) there *are* lists declaring what will spawn in certain spawners in a global sense, but these I have not touched and are only in other data tables, not placed in the world.

So if anyone more experienced can point me in the right direction, do feel free!

Thanks! I'm still searching, what I'm *trying* to do is sift through all the camp spawns that might affect it. For anyone wondering--the way spawns work is there's "camp" systems that make camp markers, and these camp markers note which mobs will spawn and with what frequency.

However, I'm not aware of any "global" spawns for animals. I certainly didn't change any, but there's too many reports saying the mod is the culprit so I'm trying to pin it down. Weirdly, it looks like when I place my own, custom spawners ("camps"), it may affect other nearby camps (also spawners) by placing mine as subordinate to them? So what I'm working on right now is hand-sifting through the map's spawns to see if mine have somehow become "child" to any existing camps and therefore changed their spawns, ex. if the game did an update but my mod somehow prevented alterations to existing camps from taking place.

I can confirm after around 10 hours of gameplay in or close to differents zone where shaleback hatchlings can pop, or at least, where i see them before installing the mod, and i can try again and again, they will never pop.

I tryed with admin, to make the game night/day time go faster, etc and it's close to obvious that there is something who break something because when there is no egg in a nest, in theory, we must be able to find some of them, but nothing, never.

I played a lot since i installed this mod, maybe 50 hours? or close to, and after removing it for some test, i realisez that in many places, the spawn of animals increased, maybe it's just a feeling and nothing else, but it's strange, it really was like there is more of some pets in some zone, and sometime just normal, like before with the mod and like the vanilla game.
I can't explain this more, sorry, but maybe it can help so... i talk about it ^^'

Don't look at their food as grown ones, it's often different from the food you give to young ones :)

Ho, sorry, i'm still a newbie on the game someway, i didn't know this and yes, it explain why this Pup only grow with Exquisite Meat ... :steamfacepalm:

And, that weird, i didn't change anything on my mod liste and nothing in the load order, but now, it work with the Pup i found in camp...
I don't understand why it wasn't before, i even checked that it wasn't because i used a yelow lotus potion and didn't learn again some feats but il learn all of them
And even if i load the older save backup with this issue, it work now too...

Sorry for this, maybe something loaded badly multiple time or "something else", all of this seem like black magic at this time :steamsad:

Hey @Varrgas 2.0! The Playful Pup is the Elite (Greater Pet) variant, and takes a special food. If I remember, it's ONLY Exquisite Meat. The non-elites (Feral Pup) can take the usual "wolf" type of food. Hope this helps!

For everyone else: I have been in and out of the devkit spending hours here and there trying to pin down the spawn issue. I so far haven't found what might cause it but I'm still searching!

I removed all my mods and it was the same
I tryed with every possible pet with Admin pannel and same for all the "Wildlife_sipath_Wolf_PlayfulPuppy" from 1 to 7.

- But it work with the "Wildlife_sipath_Wolf_Puppy", ID: 19038
It's the only that work for me, maybe they whanged something and they are or will be puppy just as social life and for fun ? i don't know

i think there is something broken ...
I have 3 Feral pups that i found in camps, but even with the right food, they don't consume it and there isn't progression bar that show they grow
For Rhino or Hyena or Horse and all the Exiles map pet i found, it's ok
I only found the Feral pups from the other map yet and doesn't want to be spoiled for the others (because never played Sipath before) so i didn't tryed.

Then i tryed to remove the mod and use admin right (i'm playing offline solo game) to make a Feral Pups spawn, and the ID wasn't the same, maybe it's normal?
But then i put it in the Pen and nothing... it didn't grow, i double check the wiki about the food but there is nothing complexe to put human flesh or else in it and it work for other pets... so...

I don't understand, anyone can confirm ?
maybe funcom locked them to be unusable on Exile map ?

It's the same near the river. Same errors and no shaleback hatchlings. I also checked and I can spawn Wildlife_KappaGreenBaby through admin panel correctly, only the default spawns do not work.

Hey guys, thanks for the info! Shit's been a bit crazy but when I get the chance I'll try to pick this apart. The thing is, I'll need to learn how to find out how to edit existing spawns, because any changes there weren't deliberately done, and I'm not even sure how they'd BE done :D It would, I *think,* mean finding the actual spawn triggers in-game and editing them.

To clarify, you guys are having trouble mainly with Shalebacks and only at the Oasis? (Not the river?) And possibly gazelles for some people?

I noticed one more, although I'm not sure if that's related in any way. I'm getting the same error about Weeba sometimes but it's very rare and I'm not sure if he actually spawns or now. The Shaleback is the worst, it also completely spams the event log from the server.
Were you able to reproduce it? You can use the old method of debugging, just add things one by one until you find which change is causing the issue.
Also worth checking if the mod is compatible with changes from recent update.

I can confirm the problem with the Kappa babies, but in my case only the Kappa babies. I noticed that with the last Update ALL the .pak files of the game were changed and a new version of GraniteSDK is used. Is your mod referring to the new gamefiles? Just as an idea to help out...
