@Kopparborg Don't worry, you're not crazy. Same stuff happening to me. I have to toggle input off for all crates except the one I'm currently loading to keep from losing stuff. Quite frustrating, but considering the last mod update was over a year ago, I'll just be content it still functions haha.

Not seen or heard of that one, @Kopparborg. I generally have my Bulk Buy Crates stacked next to each other and will grab an item out of one or the other on a regular basis. I also will return items to the Bulk Buy Crates if I pulled it out for temporary use. Never seen what you describe occur. Frequently, I have so much extra of said object, but it's not unusual for the crates to run low at some point or other, yet I never noticed a shortage of whatever object I had in the Crate(s)...

Not sure if it's a known bug but if I have 2 crates next to each other (A and B), and 2 items out (X and Y), if I put X into A, it's fine. Then if I put Y into B, it correctly goes into B but at the same time A loses 1 of X. Repeatable bug.

At the current Mine I'm building, I frequently pull Pipes and Wires out of Crates for use. Occasionally, I have several lying around as they were temporary and placed them back into the Crates and had no issues. I'd recommend starting Hydroneer (but do NOT load a Save), COMPLETELY REMOVING the MOD's (in particular, the Bulk Buy Crate MOD and the HML Loader MOD), and quitting Hydroneer. Then, in Steam, Verify the Hydroneer Files to make certain the game itself is working properly. Once the Verify is complete, you should be able to go back into Hydroneer, and load the MOD's. Make certain you install the HML Loader first, before installing the Bulk Buy Crates. Then quit Hydroneer again. Once Hydroneer is FULLY shut down, you should be able to restart it and load the Save. That may fix something if there's a bad file or something was loaded out of order...

Are you certain you've got the Bulk Buy Crates and the HML Loader MOD's installed correctly?!? Have they Bulk Buy Crates been working properly, otherwise? While I rarely completely disassemble my Mines, I occasionally take a Bulk Buy Crate to The Big Forge at Icehelm along with enough of the appropriate Ores to produce 2 or 3 dozen Drills (tier shouldn't matter). I've successfully placed two dozen Drills into a sufficiently "large" Crate, sent them up the Chute to my waiting Truck, gone up the Elevator, brought the Crate to my Drill area, and pulled all the Drills out of the Bulk Buy Crate, one at a time, for placement. So long as everything was installed correctly, it should have worked.

I'm in the process of redesigning my mine, so I'm pulling everything down and placing them into the Glorious crates that I've got placed.

When I finally come to rebuild it all, I find that the T1 Drills, are no longer in the crate and it's showing as empty! I've just lost 20 Drills, 4 Harvesters, and a ton of pipes in the process!

I'm glad that I noticed before I removed my T2 Drills and tried to stash them away.

I pushed the button but only got the error sound. Looked at the Crate and it was showing the contents as UNPAID. Picked up the Crate, took it outside the shop, but couldn't pull anything out, because it wasn't purchased yet. Took it back to the Purchase Pallet and, as I placed the Crate back on the Pallet, the cost was properly displayed (and I was able to make the purchase). So it MOSTLY worked correct, but it had issues with the Crate having been on the Pallet when I purchased the first time, and then me adding resources to make a second purchase.

@GamerKuipers, I ran into a minor issue with the Bulk Buy Crates, earlier today. I had 2 x Glorious Crates that I had purchased at a Crate Cart in Bridgepour (so I already owned them). I took them to Hobson's Logic Shop, and placed them side-by-side on the Purchase Pallet. I grabbed a Straight Cable and placed it in front of one of the Crates, let it get "sucked inside", and hit the Max button. Pushed the button to purchase all those Straight Cables in the Glorious Crate, took the Crate over to my Truck and placed it in the back. Then I grabbed an Elbow Cable and, without touching the second Crate that was already on the Purchase Pallet, placed it in front of the crate and watched it get "sucked in". So far, so good. I then went to hit the Purchase Button and it was showing the cost as ZERO.

@GamerKuipers, I have an issue with Bulk Buy Crates that occurred today. I'll be using 2 posts after this for the details, as it goes over the length permitted...

Also, remember that the Bulk Buy Crate MOD requires the HML MOD to work. Also remember that installing ANY MOD will disable the ability to earn Achievements in any Save that's loaded even if the MOD is disabled. It's the fact that a MOD is installed, whether it's ENABLED or DISABLED that causes the Save to stop earning Achievements, and there's no known way to revert THAT Save to cause it to start earning Achievements after that. At one time, there supposedly was a way, but it was either quickly patched out or it never worked.

@fairytoads , yes they are. I believe there may be the small Bulk Buy Crate available in various shops around the Island, but there's a Bulk Buy Crate Cart located in one of the towns that has the various sizes available. I *THINK* it's in Shattered Outpost, but it's been a while, so I'm not 100% positive. You need to look for a Cart similar to the one in Bridgepour Harbor (where you CATCH the Ferry to Volcalidus) and it's not part of a regular Shop. It's a shop to itself, with it's own purchase platform. Just be aware that you may need to put on the Hat to make certain that the Crate you pick up doesn't get placed inside another Crate.

Hello. Is it possible to make the names visible on the boxes in languages other than English? I'm not talking about translated ones, at least in the same English language. Or is it just a font problem?

@NebuThe Dragon, there are multiple sizes of Bulk Buy Crates. The smallest ones are the only ones that are available in most Shops. There are specific Bulk Buy Crate Carts scattered around the map that sells multiple sizes of crates. One is located int the back right corner of The Big Forge (when facing the Forge from the entrance to the room), and another is located in the Bridgepour Harbor, next to the enterance to the Ship to Volcalidus Island (the DLC). Those are the ones that I know of off the top of my head.

On Volcalidus Island, I think the Bulk Buy Crate Cart is located in Shattered Outpost.

i absolutely love this mod my only issue with it is i want the crates to hold more pipes is there a way i can change that in my own game?

Dunno what could be the issue, but thought I'd let ya know in case someone randomly reports items falling through the map.

Sounds more of an issue with the pallet as the pallet changes the collision of items but could be an issue here

It looks like there is an issue when these crates are used next to a modded Improved Pallet. If the pallet has an item on it already, and I take the same item out of a crate next to it, the item cannot be placed and falls through the terrain if dropped. Just thought I'd let ya know in case someone reports that symptom here. Not really sure which is breakin what, but I just take stuff out away from the improved pallets now.

And it's not your fault to that I "have" to look at it I have known about the bug but couldnt find out why but thanks to you and the new information I might actually have a clue why it is happening so Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your quick answer! Somehow I'm reassured that it's not normal, but I'm sorry you will have to spend time on it. I watched a video about the creative mode, but I can't find the way to open the chatbox. What's the trick there? I find the objects properly (the creative wand, the hat to fly), but I don't have the key to the teleportation... Was the chat box replaced by the objects? Maybe it's better that way, it's a nice in-between :)

Def a bug in creative mode interesting, probably something weird happening with paid for I think you can't pick it up once you drop it because the box glitched and does not count as that you paid for the box I think,

Reloading does not fix? I will have to look at this another time

But @Feanor You could try creative menu if you just wanna test some new features it allows you to spawn items and if you would spawn the box that way it would work if you wanna do something specifically with the box

Hi, I have a problem with the mod. I use creative mode because it's been a long time since I played, I lost my games, and I don't want to start all over again by hand. It's too long... But I want to test the new features to see if they are worth it.
Anyway, the first part is fine: I pick up a crate and fill it with an item by dropping it in front of the text "input". But once I leave the store, if I drop the crate (I have the same problem regardless of the size), it's final, it won't move again, whether it's on the ground or in my truck. Is that a bug? Is that normal? Is there a way to pick up the crate again that I didn't think of? Thanks a lot for any comment that might shed some light! :)

This mod has done more good for my mental health than years of therapy, thanks for the great crates mate

I use the Bulk Buy Crates, myself. They're VERY useful for keeping Claims clean and neat. They also are convenient for purchasing large quantities of Pipes (Lava AND Water), Conveyors (all types), Sorters, Smelters, and Gem Compressors, especially when starting a new Mine. It's also nice that they're available on both Bastion Island and Volcalidus Island. Still cannot be used to transport things back and forth, but I actually like that each Island is completely independent from each other.

Just to confirm, you're saying you can TAKE OFF the Hat, but it stays in your hand, even if you pick up something else? So you, therefore, see BOTH items in your hand on the screen?!?

@Roma, your comment doesn't make sense. If you mean that when you pick them up the Crate seems to vanish, grab a Hat from the Shop, put it on, and THEN pick up the Crate to place it on the purchase platform...

Things do not go "bad" inside the Crate. If you're having OTHER issues, please provide more details.

The buy multi is the cost multiplier as described on the sign at the bulk buy crate car. So lets say the base price is 10c and the buy multi for the crate is 1.1 then you will be paying 11c for each item so 10 x 1.1 = 11 it's the service fee ;) (its for compensation of the convenience to bulk buy) but if you got a few drills running in all honesty you wont even notice it

The Multi-buy feature allows you to place a single Item (ie. one Lava Straight Pipe, one Lava T-Pipe, or one Cloutium Elbow Pipe) in front of the Crate and it vanishes and goes into the Crate. The label on the Crate will change to whatever was put in there, and then you can click on the Crate itself to add a single addition Item of the same type, or push buttons to add multiples, including a button that fills the Crate to the Max. That way, you don't need to run back and forth placing large quantities of the Item in front of the Crate.

What is the buy multi for?

To make the crates it took a little as I wasn't fully used to unreal engine yet, It's not my first mod but this mod had some challenges but it was worth it. I probably took a week to a month to make this mod and even then it wasn't really fully done with bug fixes etc. And that week was almost like every single day working on it I believe as I had vacation and a lot of free time haha. If I would have to remake it it would def take longer but also not because of the knowledge that I have now.

@SLIME LOVE ALL THE TIME, Bulk Buy Crates have existed as a MOD for a long time, possibly since v2.0 came out. The developer, @Gamerkuipers, updated the MOD shortly after v3.0 came on, but this June 1st update added the Bulk Buy Crates to Volcalidus Island (the DLC).

For me, this mod is a must because I just can't stand to play with without being able to store items and be organized not to mention the absolute convenience of carrying more than one item at a time. I've been waiting for this mod to be updated to play the DLC. It's a literal game changer. Thanks for all your fantastic mod work!

Does this mod have any relation to frame drops? My game starts well at 120fps, regardless of whether machines are on or off, but gradually the fps drops to 15 and stabilizes around there. Even deleting chunks of dirt and removing raw resources, the fps stays around 15 and doesn't go up until I return to the menu and re-enter the game session. Does anyone know if this mod can cause frame drops? I have many of these boxes, some with more than 100 items inside.

See if you notice a pattern in the loss of stuff and try to reproduce it. If you find it reproducible, then take a before screenshot and an after screenshot. Go into both the Discussions area and Discord, and post the reproducible bug along with the screenshots. The Dev's will appreciate the details and certainly work on a fix...

ok i get that, but what about the stuff i have paid for? like ive noticed a couple of times whereive bought a bunch of stuff, and not 100%sure when but usually i dont notice that its missing untill i go to grab it from the truck, and i know i didnt just forget to pay because i checked how much money i had and it had gone down, idk maybe another mod is causing an issue not sure
