@NuDDen gold costs are dynamic, depends on production value of the district and buildings inside so it will just inflate as you play the game.

@Rdner Hello. I use 'Z Unit Marks' Mod that might be(??) modified 'UnitPanel.lua'
So, with Z Unit Marks mod, This mod do not work. I Can't remove built district by Enginer.
I think this mod and 'Z Unit Marks' Mod are conficted each other.
PLZ check this... want to use your mod

Great idea. of course, It's too costly, but reasonable. And also I like that needed Engineer that is too underestimated so far / less used

Heavily disincentivized to remove the district now, but that'll do. It's an option, but a costly one. better than just being able to delete the district. Never paid much attention to really cheaty mods.
