@♮Kᴏᴜsᴇɪ ❦ Ah, well,, enjoy then. Glad you found the problem :P
@yird Yesterday in 2 hours I found the bug, it was the local player panel, but the health bar was erased and the purple texture error was removed, but I already solved it, thanks for responding.

@♮Kᴏᴜsᴇɪ ❦ Feel free to send a link and I can try to look at it. Haven't done l4d2 work for a while though.
Hi, I have a problem with the mod, it conflicts with my diamond crosshair, the purple no textures appear, do you know which file it could be?

@Antonio115
I may not be modding anymore but I still know my info, your welcome. :D

@Yird alright thanks for info. I really appreciate it.

@Antonio115 You'll find the vgui images in pak01_dir.vpk in the left4dead2 folder.
Using GCFScape to open the VPK file, you will find the survivor panel images in materials\vgui\hud

I forgot what the file is named but it should be something along the lines of 'survivor'.

Oh yeah just saying additionally. I would of look online for these questions, that I am asking here. Although I could not find a tutorial for specifically l4d2 hud making. Just ones about other source games. So sry about that.

I assuming the splats, which are are "colored backgrounds" when you load up the health bar texture. Teammate or player. (Which is something about the survivors). Sorry, my issue is not the logic of how to remove it per say. More of finding that exact file, and part of the texture I need to edit. Would I be correct saying it is the colored backgrounds? Anyway thanks for the help I really appreciate it.
Yird  [author] 26 Jan, 2023 @ 3:02pm
@Antonio115 I just edited the survivor panels and removed the splats, simple as that.
You can use VTFEdit to export the panels out, and then edit them with a program like Paint.Net

Hey sry to be that guy, but I was wondering. How did you make it so the teammate/player panels do not have the grey blood splatters on them. I am not expert hud maker. Nor do I have any plans to do a major hud release. Although, I have been trying to touch up my private one, with my so far understanding of .res files and vgui icons. (It is very vanilla orientated).
Yird  [author] 1 Jul, 2022 @ 8:21pm
I wonder what do you mean by that?
Yird  [author] 1 Jul, 2022 @ 8:16pm
You know what? Imma do it, be back in like a few hours.
Yird  [author] 1 Jul, 2022 @ 7:56pm
I wonder if I should make a version even closer to vanilla, like normal weapon panel position and no custom panels.

Amazing mod. Would love one that still has the item/throwables thingy, instead of being condensed in the corner.

Okay im fucking blind, the temp health is a little off on the right side. And the other problem about non-translated text is that I manually changed it to make the text fit better, and forgot that it wouldn't translate. Gonna make some changes. I'm sorry ajnwijnfijwanfijawnfkljnsdkljfnoiqmv

After a bit of tweaking, I've readded the tip panel on the transition screen. You can take a look at the new screenshot that I added.

As for the weapon panel, still thinking about it.

Hmmm, maybe. If more people want a version like that.

This is probably the perfect use when playing those custom 8-Player Campaign/Versus Local Servers so that you can see the other players HP Bars without any issues!

Even with that whole list I missed a few things, I'll just leave a list in the description.
Big Boss 16 Jun, 2022 @ 4:06pm
okay thanks for sharing  good to know the differences between the two for comparison
Yird  [author] 16 Jun, 2022 @ 4:06pm
I forgot to say, when you're dead there is no top panel at all.
Yird  [author] 16 Jun, 2022 @ 4:05pm
In the end, think of this addon as more of a personal flavour of V.O Minimal (although I created the whole thing from scratch), being a bit closer to vanilla with cleaned up panels.
Yird  [author] 16 Jun, 2022 @ 4:04pm
@Big Boss
To sum it up (comparing against V.O Minimal):
Scoreboard is closer to vanilla (no background on campaign title, survivor panels aren't shrunk)
Doesn't include custom temp health bar by default
Survival mode is closer to vanilla (no red outline on timer and is slightly bigger. Results screen is closer to vanilla)
Loading screen top bar is more compact, no tips at bottom.
Survivor panel and infected panel don't have splats around them anymore (other than incap panels to not conflict mods)
Versus mode is supported (changes for scoreboard, ghostpanel, infected panels, team select menu)
Scavenge mode is supported (scoreboard, no splats on timer)
Survivor panels have reduced spacing between items, and incap panels have the health ontop instead of next to name.
Weapon panel doesn't remove ammo icon.
Progress bar is cleaned up and isn't as small as V.O Minimal Reduced
Big Boss 16 Jun, 2022 @ 2:52am
What are the major differences in this hud compared to Reduced HUD or V.O Minimal HUD?
