btw turtlerock studios made l4d1
i tried myself to remove the thumds.db files and repload myself but i just spent allot of headache time trying something new lol
I said if the file length exceeds the original THEN it will loop.
Use your common sense: This replaces the L4D2 Menu Music with the L4D1 Menu Music. The L4D1 Menu Music sound file is 1:25 thus the length does not matter. If you want the full length sound files then build your own custom 1:40 L4D1 menu music and loop it so it sounds like @#$*%. The request was for L4D1 music, not a remix or loop of it.
Thumbs do not belong in any vpk since they cause false conflicts. I will remove them again yet again but if the shop decides to add it then I can do nothing more.
It is not a matter of "mismatched length" you just need to cross-reference the dlc content with L4D2 and possibly read my guide on this matter :
l4d2_c1_pc = 1:40.310
l4d2_c2_pc = 1:35.712
l4d2_c3_pc = 1:36.262
l4d2_c4_pc = 1:31.663
l4d2_c5_pc = 1:37.175
L4D1 Menu Music: ONE FILE @ 1:25
your file is 1:25 in length while default song is 1:40
the irrelavant thumbnails are not the cause of it not working correctly
its the mismatched file lengths
i was trying to fix thismyself , but it seems looping it for 15 seconds more is only way to fix it
the thumbnail files are still there also
Rather than call my work fake why not Scape the file and see the cause? A simple look would have shown you AT added irrelevant thumbs files. Now STFU and go have a listen.
The music seems to be cutting off and replaying. I saw another comment about this and I thought that the person had just meant it did the whole thing and since it was shorter when it did it a second time that it got cut off and started from the begining, but it actually only goes to about 10-20 second into the song then abruptly restarts constantly. The restart loop doesn't seem to correct itself..
L4D1 sound folder...
Any audio that doesn't match the exact length of the audio file in stock L4D2 will do this.
