Hello! It is completely understandable if you reject this and aren't ok with it, but I went ahead and created an unofficial 1.0 update for your mod!

It's not much, all it does is flip the player tiles to the correct position. I'm not really a modder so I can't fix any other issues that the 1.0 release may have warranted. Just wanted to let you know, as I plan on posting it to the Caves of Qud Discord (with full credit to you of course). Do reply if you're not ok with any of this, the message will go down immediately and I'll cease uploading the file.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that the player tiles are facing the wrong way, 1.0 seemed to do that with every mod.

hey op this mod looks great. does the game have the tools to take the fallout style negative and positive perks customization that the mutations use but for truekin castes? a sort of "build your body" to choose the skills and weapons you start with.

I still need to do some testing to verify compatibility, and I will also have to compare this to the current update's game files to see if anything has changed. It may or may not be, have not confirmed yet.

there's another mod that adds mutations, one is you can create psychic weapons that scale with your ego, think its the "more mutations" mod

Wouldn't the psionic mod uses being finite be the trade off?

If it's too difficult though, understandable.

I had looked into that initially. I believe the issue I ran into was the fact that psionic mod weapons have a finite number of uses. It might've also been a matter of psionic not being a mod that can be easily applied, though that one I'm less sure of; was a while ago when I was messing around with the gear for the dervish.

So i've asked about it before but there was no response, sorry if this seems rude, though in-game Dervishes conjurer up psionic weapons, is it possible to make it a weapon mod for the Dervish calling?

I feared so, I checked through it already and found that and tried searching it up, didn't work, I almost wondered if I must have missed something. I suppose I didn't.

Oh well, instead I just made my own version for mutant human for the moment using Daughter and slightly modified for my own desires of an esper (until I can make something more interesting or complex)

Strangely enough I can find the sprites for your "Callings" but not "Castes" category of sprites in the QudUX v2 menu.

Did some testing as I suffered the same issue, its due to conflicts of some kind from what i'm seeing. I removed "The Exile" genenome and subclasses mods and manually installed QudUX v2 then removed the workshop one that isn't updated and that fixed it.

Side note, Lavernius, what's the Sprite name for "The Daughter" if you don't mind me asking? Trying to find it through the sprite menu with QudUX since its not showing in the menu and need to use the manual search function.

This is broken for me on the latest development build (not beta) pressing space does not proceed to the mutations screen.

Going to be investigating if this needs any updating for the Moon Stair release. Hopefully not, but we'll see. Ideally, the result of the patch notes is actually that this mod is more compatible with others now.

Excellent collection of castes and callings. Quick question: Can I steal your hat? Specifically the pixel art for the Alchemist calling - it would work wonderfully for my Musketeer calling once I add a feather!

It's a shame it's not in the loot tables, I'm guessing I can't even manually spawn in a higher grade material version manually then? :hatty:

Also, I will try to pay attention to it because every few levels I've looked it's PV has gone up (although I do have Double Muscled so it may just have 999 Strength cap and not say?).

It should be the only one of its type. I'm not sure about scaling PV; it isn't intentionally designed any differently from other weapons, save for its base stats.

Is there any more information on the Berserker's Colossal Sword, for example is it possible to find higher grade ones in the world or is it the only one of its kind?

I'm also not sure on this but I think it's PV might be scaling with my level; if anyone could confirm this or give more info they've found themselves that'd be great. :spiffo:

This is intentional, yes. Some subtypes might have some mild tweaking in the future, but the idea with a few of the subtypes in particular is that some aspect of their starting equipment has enough staying power to remain useful for a fair amount of gameplay.

I noticed that the Drifter starts with a sharp, serrated, folded carbide greatsword. While this certainly makes the early game much easier, I was curious if it was intentional, given that iron and steel are the typical starting items.

Update is out now. If anyone hasn't made a backup but wants to continue an old save file, I have the previous version saved. I can see about uploading it somewhere if necessary.

I'll be pushing an update for the mod relatively soon, doubling the number of callings and castes. I would advise backing up a local copy of the mod, for anyone using the current version, as the updated version will probably not work with existing saves.

Love the flavor of this one. It may be other mods I run, but none of your Callings or Castes start with any items in their inventory. The Forgotten Daughter had one data disk, but didn't see any other.
