the mod conflicts with the bandits and bandits day 1 mod, the bandits just go to the nearest corpse and walk in circles

Is an MIT license, so feel free - although the underlying code is rather hacky. I may eventually look into it if a suitable alternative no longer exists.

Sadly the creator of starving zombies and wandering zombies has deleted and redacted all mods from the workshop, given this circumstance i might look into porting this to b42 if you are okay with this when i get the free time too.

Hey man. Great mod, is it possible to make it compatible with the Bandits mod? Some guy mentioned it once in the discussion tab:

(quoting from the Bandits mod page compatibilities discussion)
"If you are a modder and you wish to recognize bandits from other zombies, here is the proper way to do it:
local isBandit = zombie:getVariableBoolean("Bandit")
where zombie is an instance of IsoZombie class."

Is this possible? I'd love to have both in my game.

Its an MIT license (essentially do whatever the you want just don't sue me), so reuploads are perfectly legal.


Should be compatible with most B41 mods. Think it had problems with bandits along with a few others.

Player early game engages in combat to loot, after trying to sort this loot. If its gonna kill zombies after they engages on him - this mod multiply its spawn.

Multiply spawn = Low FPS. Even if you not going to kill zombies, Any engagement to the player or events spawn them. Making endless cycle of Powerpoint Presentation.

Of course i could say that i had to touch sandbox settings to prevent this from happening. But i playing with this mod in default preset. And i'm pretty sure there are a people who could drop sandbox preset in discussions.

Playing with vanila zombies is mega easy, this mod provides real challenge in long run. Especially for your PC lmao.

I really like this mod, because killing zombies actually have consequence.

Its kinda endlessly spawning zombies when player engage in combat. Making looting actually dangerous, and even if you beat one horde. There gonna be another nearby, if not right now.

But its idea is breaking zombies inside cell.

the zombies have been ignoring players if there's a corpse closer than the player. it makes it way too easy to avoid them. is this an incompatibility you think? idk if i'm using them right but the wait time and time to eat body variables don't seem to be working on our dedicated server

This mod is like fighting a hydra, Cut off a head and two grow in its stead! Love the mod in combination with trash and corpses and random corpse revival, makes for a quite immersive experience indeed. It also makes is so the zombies "clean up" after themselves, since they eat old bodies that would otherwise rise up again. Definitely play with hordes disabled if you don't want to play Left 4 Dead though, lol, but it makes for a nice zombie combat simulator experience.

A bit of a shame it doesn't work with the Bandits mod though, but that is understandable with how hacky the Bandits mod is - essentially turning zombies into "npc's".

Great mod, good work, with hilarious unforeseen (exponential) consequences.

B42 is going to be off my github branch, which fixes that behavior.

It literally is exponential currently.

While hilarious, it is a bug lol. May add a toggle for it since some people seem to like it this way tho.

I'm hesitant to port to b42 until its out of unstable.

I'm not sure if mods will remain compatible between unstable and stable.

This mod needs a change because even on the lowest setting the "noise" distance increases way too much too quickly. A noise should only be created once there are corpse flies and that noise radius should never go above 10 or so tiles. It should not travel from indoors to outdoors either. I got my friends to try it on our server and while its a great idea and it adds difficulty in the right way, its unplayable. You'll kill one zombie, then another, and its just an exponential increase in zombies that cannot be dealt with. If you have any respawn it becomes hell. If you have no respawn, all the game difficulty is in the first few weeks until you kill all the zombies after drawing them into one parking lot, and then its trivially boring and easy.

it attracts them, more bodies add more weight on the 'noise' a dead body make to attract them, base value can be kinda nutty constantly getting more cus of bodies on normal setting

we once disable the mod and filled a garage full of i think 20-25 corpse and when we turned it on holy shit calling that building infested was an understatement lol

the mod attracts zombies that scales via the more bodies are in the area, zombies and human.

A pretty cool mod for the first 30 minutes, after that I was forced to take on the job of the city's gravedigger, as there was no one else alive to take on the task. There were so many zombies that I had to stop looking for food, because they were so angry with the delay in the funeral that they wouldn't leave me alone.

I may be misunderstanding the mod, do hordes have a chance to spawn no matter what? I have horde cooldown to 3 IRL hours but it keeps spawning zombies around me even if its just 1 corpse on the ground, I was at the interchange before Muldraugh with all the car wrecks and there was no reason for there to be 200+ zeds in that area, I zoomed out 200% and could see zeds constantly spawning in a circle like 30 square grids around my character & the only way I got it to stop was by disabling hordes altogether

I played with this mod, it's cool. You'll see such meaty crowds everywhere. It should be refined, sanded and polished. With him, the game often slows down. Yes, and I think it's time to update it :griefer::steamthumbsup:

Hello, i absolutely love this mod, but i have a little problem. Currently as it is, this mod is not compatible with this mod i also love, the mod is "Bandits". Is there any way something could be done to fix it? currently theres some problems with the ai tweak this mods makes affecting the bandits ai and making them act like zombies and such. im no modder so im not sure what the fix could be. much love
