I believe that the civilian factories that the decision is looking for are UNUSED factories. I was able to stop all building, take the decision and then que up more construction.

I've encountered a bug. Science decisions involving civilian factories do not actually count your civilian factories. this is especially bad for mutant nations who can't use any decision other than building research labs for caps.

Can confirm that the "Transfer Scientists To Labs" decision with the research debuff is temporary, lasting as long as the number of days to complete it.

I love this mod! As far as acquiring scientists for labs goes, it is unclear if the decisions for "Transfer Scientists To Labs" has the research debuff happen temporarily or permanently.

Also, a suggestion, let us have other ways to acquire scientists as I am always low on political power. Maybe let us use caps to hire scientists for instance.

Hello. I can't seem to build labs after the first 1 or 2. I have more than enough factories, but the button is grayed out. The "Civilian Factory Use" is red with a 6 even though I have more than 10 factories building things.

I'm playing New Vegas and have built 3 factories which are unmanned if this helps. Also, I have screenshots of what I see if you need them.

Hello! Is there a specific event ID I can use to change my focus tree to the default settler tree? I am playing a submod which gives a bunch of new nations around chicago and they all obviously do not work with this mod

The mod should still work at the moment but I will investigate specific errors soon if any are reported. The appearance or lack certain decisions for any individual nation is determined by a combination of its nation tag and country flags. If a nation is flagged incorrectly in the code (as tribal when they are civilized or vice versa) it affects which decisions are visible.

There are some inconcictancies in the decisions

why do some developed nations only have the "rise of mind" decision and some nations dont have the 3 special research decisions (like mcarthur)

seems the science decisions dont work with macarthur specifically. with just this mod and OWB, tried a bunch of different factions and macarthur for some reason has no tech point income

Regarding the science decisions.

After having upgraded from the tribal level to the intermediate level I have no way to build the labs to progress any further, is this intended?

There are decisions to use labs, but the only other options I have are to "Build Temples" and to spend science points, I don't have any option to build labs, either by building or by hiring scientists, that most other nations have.

Since the upgrade fully resets your science points income I don't really see much of a reason as to why further development wouldn't be possible, but an alternative to avoid confusion would be to remove the "New Research Department" from nations that can't build labs.


EDIT: For future reference, that issue gets fixed by reloading the game.

Ow, forget. U may need duplicate the mod in folder Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod\
Otherwise, Steam will overwrite the changes every time you restart the game (this happens to me).

6. Find is_brotherhood_nation_allowed_block = yes
and change like that:

is_brotherhood_nation_allowed_block = yes
is_vault_tec_nation_allowed_block = yes
is_enclave_nation_allowed_block = yes
tag = ERB


Step 6 get you same as BOS science level.

I would be glad to see suggestions (with a code) for more a better/lore-friendly solution. =)

Hey, everyone who needs to make compat ERB with Decisions Revamped. (Perhaps this will be fixed with a micro update?) My fix is rough, but it works and mb will be good for you too.
1. You need go to %mod folder%\common\decisions\new_generic_decisions.txt
2. Find section new_political_decisions
3. Change the contents of the section to look like this:

4. Next step: find all TAG = NCR and add TAG = ERB .

You have some civilian factories available requirements for decisions. Those can only be taken if the civilian factories are not currently in use. If you want the decisions to be able to take even when the factories are in use, you need to set the requirement to num_of_civilian_factories_available_for_projects instead.

Some decisons added by this mod cannot be taken as it wants civllian factories, however OWB changes it to civilian workshops

@Lord_Farsight The base OWB mod already allows you to get all tech levels to sophisticated with the rules at game start. Just wanted to mention it to to in case you had overlooked that. Took me forever to notice it; just wish it was defaulted to 'tech levels re-searchable' as 'yes'

can confirm, I am currently going through a Washington Brotherhood playthrough with the Darkness Falls submod, and this mod is working just fine.

I do wish I could get all tech levels to sophisticated though ... I want tank offensives alongside PA forces :(

Unrelated (or is it?) question, any chance there could be a compatibility patch or something for Enclave Reborn? I don't know coding, so I don't know how hard it would be, and if it's too much, disregard this request.

Hello m8! I have finished translating your mod. But I have a little problem.
The problem is in the solution tooltips. On the left is English, and on the right in Russian.
The markup and special symbols are preserved, the encoding is also correct for the Russian language (UTF8 with BOM).Some other solution tooltips have the same problem - in English everything is fine, but in Russian it is not.
Maybe your knowledge of coding will help me?

@Hutin Puilo The original creator of the mod added the original Russian Localization, but I have not been able to fully update it as I do not speak Russian, so it is only partially localized for Russian.

OK, so to check that my coding-illiterate self understood, there's a variable (allowed nation block?) that is required for the whole system to be activated. Macarthur does not have that variable. Hence, no lab. Correct?

@lord_farsight Macarthur isn't setup within a allowed nation block correctly, so it doesn't know what "tier" of technology they're at. I suppose I could add them to the manual list next update
