Ok

I can't get my planes to fly not shitty with a pilot and engines going, so I definitely won't be able to make it fly ok without enhines and some autopilot. Again I'm sorry but my planes and this game are definitely not a priority for me right now with the broken aerodynamics since it's impossible to work with.

I'm sorry but I'm not spending a lot of time trying to make something work for my planes with the aerodynamics as bad as they are. Also since the engine cuts out the plane wouldn't stay stable for long anyway even with an autopilot. Sorry but not happening right now. 😕

I am also meaning like an altitude hold
Mean Green  [author] 16 Jul, 2022 @ 5:56am
I'm guessing it's a design choice so vehicles don't just go off into the sunset on their own without a driver which makes sense but it would be a nice feature to have for this kind of situation.
Maybe there is a solution that too stoopid to realise but I have no idea how to fix it I'm afraid. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah did some testing and as soon as you leave the Main/pilot's seat all input from all sensors and buttons connected to it just stop. I even tried setting an on/off button to the engine but as soon as I get out of the seat it too stops giving input so I have no idea if it can even be done sadly.
Mean Green  [author] 16 Jul, 2022 @ 5:34am
Ah ok. Thing is the variable throttle is basically that but I don't know why the engine cuts out when you leave the pilot's seat, there's no reason for the sensor to stop working just bc there's no one in the seat since it's "Always on", and I have no real clue how to fix it since the throttle already SHOULD work like that. Sorry.
Also considering how poorly the plens fly in the new update I doubt it would stay level for long even with the engine on. 😕

what i mean is like, say i want to man the gunner at the top, but, since whenever youe exit the aircraft, the engine commits stop and you start nose diving better than in Escape 2 Madagascar

NVIDIA21 - A cruise control for what? This plane? It has the variable throttle already if that's what you mean? Sorry I don't quite understand. 🙂
Mr.MayoMan 15 Jul, 2022 @ 10:56pm
only a question
Mr.MayoMan 15 Jul, 2022 @ 10:56pm
can you make a cruise control for it?
Mean Green  [author] 15 Jul, 2022 @ 10:12am
Just to be clear - it still flies, just really poorly compared to in the last version of the game and the new boosted engine makes it fly way too fast, but that is needed to be able to keep some control over it. Just don't try to do any fancy flying at realistic speeds. Supersonic WW2 bomber FTW!

Thanks Bad boy 34!
Sadly the update has ruined its flying characteristics and there's no way I can fix it since the new aerodynamics system is quite broken for planes like this. :(

Best b-29 in brick rigs i like it

rip

This has me worried. The Swordfish with bombs flies ok, but as soon as I drop the bombs the plane goes into an infinity loop without control input. This might get rough... 😣
Mean Green  [author] 9 Jul, 2022 @ 6:39am
I just tried my Swordfish and the lift is so great now that it does loop de loops by itself once the bombs are gone if I don't push the stick forward. Try it! 🤣🤣🤣
Makes me wonder though how 6 small bombs make such a huge impact on the flight characteristics. 🙄

I understand he needs to change aerodynamics/fluid dynamics for the water in the new version, and it's said that the new system is more realistic so fingers crossed. However I've also seen people claiming to be able to reach mach 1 in prop planes so... Hopefully this new (and improved?) system will stick around for a while. Inever built anything in Legacy so first time for me. All the planes do fly in 1.2.2 but some sever tweaking is needed especially for smaller planes which is a bit of a hassle for sure but well worth it as long as the new system sticks around and actually is better.
Sadly building new planes will have to wait until I've fixed all my old ones.

Must be fun to constantly try to adapt on fluppis random changes:104::bandit:
Mean Green  [author] 9 Jul, 2022 @ 6:04am
Larger planes fly ok-ish as is but with more engine power it seems. Smaller planes however need a lot of tweaking since they zoom around likemodel planes right now.
Mean Green  [author] 9 Jul, 2022 @ 5:50am
Apparently 1.2.2 is now out without any info about it except a brief mention by the creator in Discord. All my planes need to be recalibrated to fly properly since they now fly more like RC planes than real actual size planes with the new aerodynamics in the game. I will try to fix this ASAP and mark each plane (and other creations) that is 1.2.2 ready in their description. It will take quite a while to go through all of them though. 🙄

Maybe, I'll see. But shouldn't be too difficult once I've done the basic plane. :)
TheRubberDuck 8 Jul, 2022 @ 9:56am
ok are you gonna make a AC-47 with it? ( a c-47 with three M134 controlled by a button on the joystick of the pilot and a crosshair on his left window)
Mean Green  [author] 7 Jul, 2022 @ 7:35pm
They're on my list but I'll probably do the C-47 Skytrain next. And thanks. :)

B-26 or 25 or a-26 next???? also ebic.
