To create a compatible rocket pod, you need to ensure that the hardpoint ordinance type is set to 7, and you need to take the Composite On/Off channel 1 input and convert it into an On/Off signal for the rocket pod trigger. In flight, make sure the UFC is set to 7, the master arm is on, and the landing gear is retracted. Pressing and holding 4 will fire rockets from all pods at the same time.

The UFC is currently used to select specific ordinance types on the hardpoints: each ordinance type has a corresponding number between 1 and 12 (detailed in the workshop description above), and setting its value will make the aircraft automatically select the appropriate hardpoint automatically. For example, if you input "10" into the UFC it'll try to use the radar-guided missiles that are equipped on the aircraft by default.

As for the tail hook, it's a feature I haven't yet added to the aircraft, so it currently serves no purpose. I may add one in the future using some kind of mag-all, but I am not sure yet.

Thanks for the feedback! I have updated the vehicle to dispense chaff instead of flares, I had honestly forgotten that it was an option now on the flare dispensers!

very good, but the roll is SO SLOW that i cant maneuver with this awesome pitch rate without crashing because i cant roll to correct myself in time

An altitude hold is definitely something I'd like to add to this in the future. I did experiment a bit with making my own gyro using angular speed sensors, but I ended up with a very bizarre flight model that was more difficult to handle than the default gyro.

In the meantime, I suggest using the trim settings by holding ALT in-flight and pressing the control keys accordingly.

For now, you'll have to find or build your own ordinance if you want to use different things on the aircraft. So long as you set the ordinance type, it'll attempt to launch, release, or activate it accordingly (more details in the workshop description above). In the near future, I may release a sample pack which will contain additional ordinance types, which you'll be able to copy-and-paste onto the aircraft.

Currently there is no enhanced tracking functionality on the missiles, they use a basic self-guided seeker setup. I've not done much work on weapon systems, so I only provided some simple ones so that people had something to use by default.

also, how do you fire missiles that TRACK other vehicles? every vehicle i use that has missiles doesnt track others

Sorry to hear that you're having issues! I believe this can happen when the Physics Detail is set to Low (or Auto). If possible, I'd suggest trying on a higher setting to see if the issue persists.

Maybe! It took me about 8 months on-and-off to complete this project, but there are certainly a lot of parts I could re-use for making aircraft (especially other Hornet variants) so it may happen at some point.

Can you show me your specific setup? A video of your process and screenshots of your hardpoint ordinance type settings would be helpful.

The screens are not touch-interactive, the hardpoint controller should automatically select the first available unguided bomb that it can find on your aircraft once you put "3" into the UFC.

Really nice plane, waiting for more updates with more details and features, i still miss some kind of emergency egress system, and things like fire extiguish, but its really nice, waiting for updates :)

Make sure that your Ordinance Type on the bomb itself is set to "Unguided Bomb", the Master Arm On/Off switch is set to ON, and the Gear Extend/Retract Switch is set to ON.

The hardpoint controller is configured to recognise the ordinance type set by the hardpoint connector component. If you input a number between 1 and 12 into the UFC, the controller will automatically select the first hardpoint(s) that has a matching ordinance type.
